ah I forgot about Barbara Jean I want to see more of her tbh. Delilah im mixed about I get a bit of a yuck feeling from her she comes across as a bit to young for me maybe if the MC wasn't older I would be okay with it. But I kind of do like her. It's why I rarely like to play older MC's tbh cause if there is a young LI l I like in the game gonna want to play their path but also has a high chance of making me not enjoy it too depending on how the character act. Really all comes down to how they act if it bothers me or notI only like Delilah and Faith. And Barbara Jean - she's cool, love those southern girls - I'm not even American, but I do love GRITS.

I agree, that was a shitty move on his partI'm playing latest update of Rebounding Life so very upset with 'twins' at the moment.
Superwriter is on my shitlist (probably forever).
Who the fuck gives us cute twins who tell the MC he's pretty hot and then writes them out after 2 scenes.

I stopped playing when i got to some Ava content trying to finish beating tainted grail the fall of avalon before I play more AVN's im right at the end. Tho tbh I don't care for the story or game much just want to finish it cause I played so much. They made King Arthur so unlikeable in it lol

Wait what's the difference between this and All Things Change? I was skimming the thread and something about aging up? I have ATC downloaded but haven't play through it yet so idrk anything

Completely different games (by the same dev).
ATC is a brand new game he started. It's a Mystery with no incest and I don't think it's harem.
SMTL may or may not be a remake and aged up from a game that was previously banned for rule 7. I never played it (the girls were way too young for me) so I don't know how true it is to the original. As it is now, its a make your family into your harem game (has a real boxed-in feel to it).

It's such a shame that Tides of Succession is abandoned. Dev clearly has some talent and I hope he can see a game to completion...

So anker11 talked me into trying this game by claiming that both you and him think it's better than Law School, which skyrocketed my curiosity. The jury is still out on the final verdict, but so far it seems to be a cross between No Such Luck and Sickimtrack to me, and nowhere near Law School level. It's also worse than NSL to me, but somewhat better than Sickimtrack. Maybe I'll change my mind as the game keeps improving, Ch. 2 is already much better than Ch. 1. Tegan is my early favourite, I like how she wants to bang but is teasingly flirty rather than overly blunt about it. Meanwhile, Alice and Ellie seem too innocent for this MC, Mia is, on the contrary, too slutty, I can't really pick between twins, and Ava gave me a pretty bad bitchy first impression. Oh, and I don't like Imogen's hair, so I ship her with Shawn instead.

haha Imogen's hair is one reason I loved her before I got to know her. Tho I find it funny how different people's opinion vary on LI being slutty or not as I never never though of Mia being slutty at all really unlike 1 of the twins at least initially but now im not so sure about that twin.
I personally look forward to it more than Law School. I haven't touched the last update to LS school yet. Honestly Law School has never grabbed me it's just I like the LI alot. While I like the LI in Not going back just as much as Law School , Not going back has always kept me interested while I can't say I care all that much about LS beyond the LI tho maybe Season 2 will change things.

She literally showers together with a guy she knows for a day or something, lets him touch her, and talks like they're surely gonna bang, and that she just doesn't want to do it in the shower specifically.

I know I just don't see her as such after spending time with her it's what I mean by it's funny how different views can differ if a LI is slutty or not. Cause I can understand why some would see it as such I just don't. Now if I didn't feel like I spent enough time getting to know her and seeing how she is a really nice caring person id probably feel differently. Cause those early interactions painted a entirely different picture for me than what the shower scenes does. It does help interactions after that makes her seem less so to me as well. But my first time playing I didn't think she was during that scene because of what I said.

I do like it better than Law School (and after the forced stuff in Sickimtrack last update, well ahead of it). I like that the MC is normal, he's not an idiot. He does dumb things (what college kid doesn't), but he's more mature and worldly. (No dirty socks, stolen basketballs, fake blackmail scares). I know it's for humor, but it doesn't hit for me.
I'm not one who gets focused on visuals, for me, the girls are either cute or not. I don't really care if the visuals are better, so that doesn't really come in to my thinking. (I couldn't even tell you has better visuals). It comes down to the story, mechanics, MC, romance, and the girls for me. I think NGB nails all of them.
Story - An interesting slice of college life with an underlying mystery that isn't taking over the story.
Mechanics - There's lots of player agency, nothing lewd/romantic is forced, very little drooling. You can be friends or romance path with whoever you want. The dialogue and variables reflect the path/s the player has chosen.
MC is one of the better ones, that feels good to play.
Girls - this is the only AVN I can think of with a large MG/SG cast, where I like all of them. (And yes, I know that's a personal thing). There's no one here I hate or even dislike. This makes it a much more enjoyable experience for me. There's no 'Oh shit really another scene with her'. Some of the girls are definitely a little more 'slutty' or promiscuous than you would find in another AVNs, but nothing that bothers me.
I only rank my top 25 games, there's no order, but if I was to make an order Not Going Back would be in my top 5.
I'll put my pom-poms down. I probably sound like a cheerleader.

Heh, it’s funny how much our opinions can vary sometimes. In my head, Law School doesn't even come close to NGB, - not necessarily in terms of raw production quality, but definitely in terms of pure joy I get from playing it. I only played Law School once (one major playthrough) and haven't even gone back to redo my saves after '"the changes" in S1. There are certain aspects of that game that I find rather frustrating/annoying, and having Elsa around isn't enough to compensate for them.
At the same time, - I’ve played NGB 4 times from scratch already. I like pretty much everything about it: MC is actually decent (not a simp or an idiot), story is engaging (despite me usually hating college setups), and the visuals are solid (not my priority anyway). Most importantly, it has maximum player agency - no forced dates, no MC suddenly drooling over a girl, and no far-fetched drama just for the sake of it. The only negative I can think of is that main menu soundtrack, it's painful to listen to.
I haven't played NSL yet (it's on my list), and Sickimtrack is firmly on my blacklist

. Ch. 2 is an improvement over Ch. 1, so I'm probably not dropping it, but NGB will for sure stay really low on my rating list. Roughly, for me it's a game that scores many Cs and some Bs, but no As. Also, I think Ch. 1 was bad. Like, really, really bad. Like I told Anker, I'd drop the game right there if he wasn't such a big fan of it.Also, I'm actually starting to have doubts over Tegan, she's proving to be a bit too wild for my tastes. I'm considering Bonnie instead now.
