Ren'Py - Completed - Mist [v1.0.3] [395games]

I completely expected this to be another mediocre demo to blow an hour on or less.

So, so wrong. This was an amazing game.

At first I legit had to double check the engine, because I have never seen scene animation like that in renpy before.

Art 5/5 (For the style used for characters, very good. I think Mia was prettier, as ...blanking on name, blondie had a bit of a cartoonish look to her. Scene art was amazing)

H stuff 4/5 (The only thing I didn't like was the frequency and the typical build up all game to vaginal. That isnt realistic. But that one scene... where she let him... ya. My god.)

Story 4/5 (Only reason it isnt a 5/5 is because it isn't perfection. Pretty good though)
Setting 5/5 (Added this because I feel like this game nailed the mood and feeling of location better than any other game Ive played recently)

Characters 5/5 (While I feel there could have been more dialogue, what dialogue there was, was very good. It was mostly realistic and made for characters I cared about)

Sound 4/5 (Usually sound is the hardest thing to do right in these games. From obnoxious moaning to music that doesnt fit to terrible sound effects... I feel like this game nailed it though. Very fitting music and sounds. Only the sex part wasnt perfect, but it wasnt bad.)

With a slightly altered or added dialogue, this very well couldve ended right here as it is. (obviously missing another important scene though ;] )
I really look forward to coming back to this game after a few updates and seeing if the quality can be kept.

5/5 would recommend.

Edit: Side note... we need some nice sigs. Like one with the two girls sitting in that really well lit living room or something.

amazing story, not just play and sae sex, but much deeper story , but atleast now this game need more persons in house. I really want this game will be long enought to play like ~10hourse (minus grind) good luck author with his develop

One of the best visual novels I've played and I cannot wait for the next updates! Definitely worth checking out, top notch animation and very good character building!

I would play this even without the adult content. The story kept me riveted, the survival mechanics made you think a little bit, but were not overly cumbersome. All of the characters were nicely rendered and had distinct mannerisms that I enjoyed. Nicely done.

The character is cute for me ,maybe the art style is different but it still cool

Well, this game is early version and developer is improve it and add more fun element . So let wait for it hope it didn't become a game with annual update

One of the few H games that reallt traped me for story. I mean, seriuslly, im enjoying the story and the lore of this game. The visual part, pretty well devoloped the background and the ambient is well done. The character design, i was a bit doubtuful with the Robin design (Blond girl) at first sight, but it is well done and the style fits good; with the scond girl, just say she is love <3, i adore her personality and physical design. The "succulent" parts, are well animated and well done.
In resume, i found this game a little jewel, with a The Walking Dead with The Mist (the film), that work pretty well, with interesant characters, a VERY GOOD and interesant story, that is more than some HENTAY scenes. I recomend you play it and you will understend all.

The Mist by Stephen King was one of my favorite stories as a teen, so I already liked the premise going in. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of gameplay and writing, even with higher expectations going in.

A good variety of things to do, the women and the MC are mostly written well and well-paced. Alot of mystery and plot give this potential for a huge story and scope for the game as it moves forward.

A couple of nitpicks keep me from giving this a perfect 5. First, progression seems very linear in these early stages, and second, there is one point in the game where the relationship with a girl makes a huge jump that feels a little too quick. These really are nitpicks though, as the game kept me entertained for it's entire current runtime.

Definitely worth the download, and I'll be throwing some money at this one.

Great game! This is one of the tighter games I've played on this site gameplay-wise, there was always something to do, it was always clear what to do next, and it never felt grindy. I also really liked the pace at which the sex scenes escalate.

The story and visuals are also excellent, and really make you want to keep going.

The dialog can be a little awkward at times (largely but not entirely on purpose I think), and some of the sex scenes are a little odd (e.g. the tit-slapping relay ), but are still very hot.

If the dev could get on subscribestar or buymeacoffee I'd be happy to throw some money his (their?) way. My debit cards don't work on patreon or paypal.

Many times to rate a game 5 stars you have to do a very very long list of positive things with nothing negatives...this game has surely an infinite list of good intentions and to be honest i think that they will become a long list of positive thinghs...animations are perfect 3D works and the story is fantastic studied in every details...it can feel you what character feel and this is fantastic....for this reason i think this game deserves 5 and the " excellent " game title

This is a nice little visual novel, as yet unfinished. The graphics are nice slightly cartoonish but nice. I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to seeing more especially as the story promises so much more like the farm the girls desire to "serve" the player character and the surprise from the lift shaft girl about the others ;-)

It's a fun game, as much as it can be this early on, and I'm saying that as someone who isn't necessarily a fan of the render style. Admittedly the console commands helped A Lot and I'm not sure how I would have liked it w/o them. For something only on a .2 it was pretty good though.
Great job with an in game guide that really cuts down on grind. I can think of several devs who could learn a thing or two from how smooth it's done here.
More variety in weapons would help, used that dagger forever, but I get it's a .2 so that may just come with time.
The random encounter system... ehhhh...that's not exactly loved even in regular rpg's much less adult ones.
The MC could be a bit more assertive, even when you pick the harsher answers he gets walked on some, she shoulda been sucking me off long before I was licking her.
LoL maybe give me a way to mystically make that girls breasts and/or booty grow (note: optional, so folks who like em smaller can stay happy), especially if she doesn't give me permission, she needs to be put in her place a little after making me work the garden solo for so long and hey if you want me staring at them to train let me make em something to stare at...

I must say that the story hooked me more than I expected, pity that ends with that filthy cliphanger, I like that it has animations, they are very good, the only "bad" thing or that I do not like is Robin's face, I see it very rare but they are small, now to wait for it to advance to play it again

Someone else called this a "waifu simulator" so I downloaded to try it out. Turns out he was exaggerating for the most part, it's not much of a simulator of anything - the story is perfectly linear and it's basically a "grind a bit to unlock it all" type of game design.

Which isn't necessarily bad, the graphics are unusual and cute-looking in their own cartoon way, the story is ok. Not much content was ready yet in the version I played, but I did find myself looking forward to when more is released.

4/5, and it's not a waifu simulator at all, that's for sure. But I feel like the game wasn't trying to be a simulator, it simply wants to be a cute story on rails with some grinding in there - which is fine in its own right, just a lot less ambitious than being any kind of simulation.

A fictional woman in a videogame feels more human and charming than any real woman I've interacted with in real life. I'm not sure whether that's depressing, or invigorating. Either way, peak waifu simulation.

Version 0.3 update

This game has improved from the 0.1.1 version, enough so that it earned its fifth star IMHO. The MC's dialog is far more natural now which was my biggest complaint with the original. There's a garden you can grow with makes the survival parts less of a hassle. And the storyline is good enough to actually read. It doesn't hit you with moon logic puzzles either, everything thus far has made sense. Despite only being a couple of updates the amount of new content is sizeable which bodes well for the game continuing.

This is a combination Survival Horror/Porn game. You are a generic porn game male MC trapped in a cabin in the woods with a young highly corruptible girl. Your basic gameplay loop is to collect food and find components to craft into tools that help you collect even more food and tools. The woods are full of monsters so each trip is perilous but also necessary for your survival.

The renders are somewhat cartoony but they look good. There are a few fairly stiff animations that work alright. The storyline isn't much, basically boom there are monsters, here is a girl, grind some stats and go.

There is one fairly serious flaw that robs this game of one star for me. The MC is a rapey douchenozzle. I'm not usually bothered so much by rape in these games but this guy is just the absolute worst. It's like you're playing one of those games where you have dialog options (this game does not) and you choose the "bad" choice each time.

Girl: Thank you for rescuing me.
Guy: Those monsters were scary.
Girl: I hope we don't run into any more of them.
Guy: I MUST TOUCH YOUR BOOBIES!

The worst part is the girl seems kinda into him before he goes all creepy weirdo on her. This happens repeatedly and it's absolute cringe every time.

Porn content is fairly regular but also very low at this point (it's 0.1.1). Some peeping and bit of light BDSM. Some of the scenes are so mild it's hard to believe you're still playing a porno game. Like she takes off her jacket and shows off the cleavage you could already see.

There are pretty strong hints that there will be more girls in the future which could be interesting. There might even be a bit of resource management--assigning girls to different tasks. None of that is in the game yet, and it's closer to a VN than a sim style game. You're pretty much railroaded down the one and only path with only some side quests to gather a bit more food or something. There's no branching plotlines and only very minimal (and capped) stat grinds.

I'm intrigued enough to try out the next version, but if the MC continues to act like a total asshat I'll probably have to drop it. Shame too because there's a lot of promise in the theme and overall quality.

I really enjoyed this game. I like the art style, it's quite a bit different than most visual novels. The animations are decently fluid. I enjoy a little bit of grind for a reward . Overall I think the dev has something good started. Good luck in your game sir.

Okay first off I think the art style of the character are unique and different from your typical Daz models. The intro of the game really pique my interest. The gameplay or navigation menu are different from your typical VN novel.

Yet the only thing that bothers me is how immature the MC is. Even the girl is unrealitic in her willingness to be passive and please the mc. At first I thought the game was going to have a good story, but it quickly dissolves that with the mc acting like a 5th grader.

Sometimes I feel that people who make these games really need to take a class in writing. Learn character development. A girl who was being chased from a monster in the woods would not just flash a stranger her tits, because he asked out loud the next day.

There are other things in the writing that steer me the wrong way in the way the mc behaves. Example is Robin the blonde girl from the pictures is in the kitchen making food with the food in the pantry. The mc scolds her and berates her to make her seem stupid. That she wasn't thinking about food supplies. It sort of makes a cute game into a cringefest. Almost you just want to skip the dialog.

I give it a four because I love the art style and music, gameplay mechanics. Yet the writing can be improved a lot to make the mc not so much of a douchebag. And the girls not turn into mindless drones that they only serve one purpose and that is to please the mc.

Pretty Good Game so far, nice animations for both scenes and moving around the house also creative scene replay. The idea is also super creative and from what i understood there will be more girls which is always NOICE. I dont know what engine the DEV used to create the game and then implement it into Ren'Py but its a nice one, everything looks good in my opinion, nice models and visuals, they look Like a Cartoon (Nice).

A good start,hot girl ,also nice that she is kinda kinky from the beginning ,nice dialog,gotta love the zombie scenario,the animations are well done,especially the sweat effect.Really looking forward to what this will grow into.

My humble Review for version v.01
The background music is great I enjoyed listening to the music.

The sound effects are simple and do the job it matches perfectly with the art and in-game interactions.

The Girl (Robbin) looks kinda weird like her face is missing something, but she's hot.

the mechanics on getting food are repetitive and sometimes annoying but the game is too early and new, that being said the mechanics are great and cool.

The images (art) are pretty nice, not realistic like other games but nice and clean, it feels like a grinding game with action/adventure, you get the feeling of a reward for every completed action.

The story feels like some teenage horny "every young dream" novel book.

The animations are ok I guess, laggy but ok

Game is managed by one dev(i think) and waw, what a beast to manage a game on your own.
