The sex scenes are amazing and so is the story. There were times where I was frustrated with sex scenes interrupting the story. The all over gameplay mechanics are not halfway bad either, forces you to adapt in a variety of ways and keeps everything engaging.

Excellent game. Everything is on the highest level: graphics, sound, animation, story, suspense. Characters are engaging and believable, well, at least for a porn game. Mini games are simple and kind of fun. It is very linear and simple, it is more or less impossible to lose. Which is great for a change, you do not need a walkthrough.

The game is truly exceptional as it stands—a masterpiece of design and creativity. The art style is absolutely stunning, with a level of detail and expressiveness that’s hard to find anywhere else. And the animations? They’re on another level entirely. I’ve never seen a game with this kind of visual style executed so flawlessly. Every movement feels alive, fluid, and immersive—it’s genuinely impressive.

The story is also well-crafted and adds depth to the experience, but I have to admit, for my personal taste, I feel like the game could have benefited from the addition of a charismatic 'auntie-like' character—someone mature, confident, and endowed with a striking presence. Specifically, I wish she had a voluptuous figure with notably large breasts, as I feel a character like this, brought to life with your incredible animation skills, would be absolutely beautiful and add a unique charm to the game.

The art style is unique and the premise of the story is kinda interesting, but holy shit the writing is so poor and cringe. Very disappointing. At some points I was under the impression that I'm reading some teenager's first VN project on reddit.

This game has some of the best writing Ive seen on this site, both in its regular writing and in its dirty talk during the spicy scenes. Story is interesting and the exploration and combat mechanics are basic, but satisfying enough without requiring any grind or anything.

The character models are pretty good and the animations are good despite the movements being kinda slow even when you are apparently pounding the girls hard.

And usually I turn the music off, but the background ambient music was so chill in this game I actually found myself just listening to it in the background while I was doing other things at times, excellent game

The gameplay loop didn't get boring even though it felt repetitive, and the story was phenomenal. It really drew you in and the atmosphere added to it a bunch creating very tense moments. The story was great and left no question unanswered which made the resolution that much better.

Mist is a great horror visual novel and I would've enjoyed it even if it wasn't a porn game as the mystery of the world and the big events of the story kept me on the edge of my seat while playing.

The gameplay itself, the combat, exploration and survival isn't that deep but adds an extra to the game and lots of effort was definitely put into the cutscenes which is pretty impressive for what I assume is a single person making this game.

For an apocalypse setting it is a pretty deserted world, there is only you, your harem of girls and the main villain but each character has their role and helps the group unlike the games where the mc is the undisputed hero who does all by themselves.

The sex scenes are well done visually and I like the art direction, but the dialogue is really weird (even for a porn game) and basically all sex scenes are some kind of roleplay where the mc dominates the girls which gets very repetitive.

Overall an 8/10 game

What a real gem here! The story is interesting and quite long. The characters are likeable, every girl has it's own personality, every behave differently. Specially Mia is great with her "girly" enthusiasm. You get to know the story of girls during the game. The graphics is ok, with some animations during game it does it's role well. Sex animations are very nice. Specially the face mimics of the girls, the dirty talking during scenes. I highly recommend.

this was probably one of the first game in this genre for me. I tried years ago before it was even finished. It was great then, but even better now. It's the equivilent of losing your virginity to your summit girl - Very little else compares, but so many game devs could learn from what it gets right. For a start, actual gameplay. Nothing too complicated, but enough to make the experiences in this game feel earned. It also balances that with great story telling. The characters act like real people. It's very easy to write a scathing review, but a lot harder to write a good one because ro do that you have to understand why it's so good. And this game is that well made that I really don't.

Very nice game enjoyed the story, game mechanics and animations. Highly recommend.

There are a lot of other votes already so I'll just list the things that pull it backwards off totally perfect:

— too much repetitive combat; you can cap off 2 of 3 attributes, I don't need to fight that many monsters for no obvious gain
— seems like the whole "childhood friend" arc was written to accommodate an incest patch, no one already fucking two other women is going to be that anxious about hooking up with a friend they haven't seen in years
— the protagonist should be dead from dehydration based on how much is left behind when he creampies multiple girls in a day, it's jarring. Like when an anime protagonist spits up liters of blood every time he gets punched in the chest or stomach; you can't splurt that much unless you have a serious medical condition

Again, 5 stars, this was great. The characters are all a little on the cartoony side, too, if that matters to you. The art style was consistent so it was fine in my opinion.

Complete game of masterpiece plus author never was lazy and always given us good content until end so this is solid 5 star for me.

Few lack things here not gonna lie like i wish more characters here 4 is good but still sometimes can be little bad and Mc worth should be more he goes out there survives yet sometimes feels like he dont get recognition really sure girls diffirent and good not gonna complain but sometimes feels underapricied other than this game is good deserves solid 5 star play it believe me not gonna regret it i wish zombie survival game like this exist maybe in the future from this Author.

Finished MIST today. The pros - It's an excellent, polished, high quality AVN with amazing animations, visual effects, cutscenes, sound and music. The world building and premise are also great, and the gameplay is simple but engaging at the same time. It never feels like a chore, and is blended seamlessly with the story.

Speaking of the story, it was also great. Not groundbreaking, but very good. Especially the beginning and middle. The end felt a little rushed, but was more than satisfactory. My only disappointment was not really figuring out who Nori really is, where she and the other one came from, and the future implications.

The characters are excellent. My favourites in order: Noreia, Lily, Mia, Robin. Ironically in the reverse order they were introduced. This just tells you that the characters get better as you go on. The exploration and world building scaled up enjoyably, keeping me entertained, and it really felt immersive, with some suspension of belief necessary, but not an impediment by any means.

The sex scenes were similarly great. Varied and more than enough. The progression was good. The ending especially leaves you with a warm feeling, though I have to say finishing the game's ending didn't feel as touching and heart wrenching as some other games, like Emma's solo ending in My Bully Is My Lover, or the main ending in Once In A Lifetime (most goated AVN tbh). I still felt happy to see where I had brought my crew of survivors and what I had managed to create. Some more worldbuilding and lore t the end would have been great.

All in all, 4.8/5

EDIT: coming back to my review some time after completing the game, I do feel like I slightly undersold just how good MIST is. Maybe others have seen this premise before, but for me, it was an incredible premise and hooked me from the menu screen itself. It's also nice to in a way 'itch' that hole left by the abandoned Kindread: The Redburns... but that's not to say this game is just a stand in. It's more than excellent in it's own right. The way the story develops and characters are introduced is just riveting, I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it, and immersing myself into this situation and playing through the game. You can tell a LOT of care and work went into this, and it's evident by the quality of this game. It's definitely one of the GOATs of this site.

So, this game got me conflicted.

One the one hand - it's good. There's a lot of effort put into it:
* There's a multitude of mechanics that are gradually introduced
* The graphics (the important ones at least) are consistently good
* It's not just sex, and not just infodumps
* There's an attempt at world building

On the other hand - it's not a 10:
* The "third act" feels very rushed. The mechanics just kind of halt, and it turns into a time filler until the game kinda just ends
* The sex scenes turn samey (they're still good, just not as varied)
* The story turns *weird*
* The worldbuilding just doesn't seem to culminate in anything

These may seem weak, and they are especially when other games are low-quality gif dumps or bland visual novels where you can keep mashing space to see the scenes. But for a game that takes itself seriously as this, it's kind of a weird ride to go through.

Because the beginning was *good* - there was mystery. There was innuendo. There were interesting mechanics. And I think the developer tired themselves out by the end. They wanted to wrap up and be done with it. And that's ok.

On the other-other-other-hand, I don't know what I think of this as an NSFW game. Like...what do I even want out of a sex game? When a game makes you think that as you're playing, it did something good, and something weird. There are horror elements that made me stop playing and regret ever having a boner. There are sex scenes that made me think wtf are they doing like *what* how are you trying to blend these cinematically.

So yeah. This game is great. It'll make you cum and wonder why. I hope the dev takes the experience they got making this and distill it into better, more cohesive future games.

The perennial challenge of doing a kinetic novel is always how to keep players engaged - after all everyone is just reading words with some pictures and animations passively most of the time.

Along comes Mist, presenting a way of playing a kinetic novel through a tightly integrated series of map hopping, mini-games, resource management, battle system and POV animations that makes you feel like you are role playing the MC instead of just being a passive third party.

Story
MC rescues a girl from a shadow monster while chilling out in a mountain hut. Very soon he discovers the entire mountain save for his cabin is surrounded by an ominous mist, thus beginning his adventure to survive, fight off shadows and unravel mysteries of the mist.

The story is a good combination of dystopian survival, paranormal mystery and romance. The pacing is consistent and well done punctuated with appropriate humour to balance out the dark mood. The adventuring is far more expansive than I signed up for as the game page makes it sound like most of the action will be surrounding the cabin. Trust me, you will be travelling to many places ;=)

Game Mechanics
This is where Mist really shines. The developer has curated multiple simple game elements seen in RPG, visual novel, resource management, sandbox and traditional game books into a highly interactive experience even though it’s a kinetic novel at heart.

Calibration is also done exceedingly well, you simply level up and get resources during the course of the game by playing normally i.e. no BS grinding for exp, chalking up love points or clicking around random locations in sandbox waiting for something to happen.

Background / Character Renders
Each background is detailed, uniquely designed and well rendered and the sheer number of backgrounds in this game is staggering as MC will be travelling to many rural and urban places during the game. Many venues will even have various zoom ins and camera angles that can look very different.

Character models are rendered in a unique style that might take some getting used to - somewhere between a Pixar 3D movie and claymation. I was a little apprehensive at first, but once you get immersed in the story the style grows on you.

Character Development
There are four LIs and each of them has a particular personality that sort of plays into certain kinks: Robin is submissive, Mia is a wild and resourceful teen, Lily is smart without being nerdy and Noreia is motherly.

Character development however is a little thin - MC is pretty much the same from the first scene to the last while the girls’ transition from strangers to lovers is stiff and not very convincing. Good thing is while most harem games leave little or no interaction between the LIs other than during sex, Mist does spend time building up the rapport between them.

Sex Scenes
Very well animated with each scene having 3 - 4 sets of animations and for those into cum shots many of the scenes end with a long and titillating creampie close up animation. The dialogue and variety is there and some of the places where sex takes place is ahem… quite…. unique.

The quantity is just nice and well spread out to spice up gameplay just when things get a bit dull without being intentional or disruptive.

BGM and Sound Effects
BGM is mostly mysterious and gloomy and supports the story well while there’s quite a fair number of sound effects compared to other AVNs, so all in it works well.

Conclusion
Mist has a good story going - the logic holds up well, the characters are likeable and the unraveling of mysteries and introduction to new characters are well paced out.

What truly stands out though is how deeply engaged one can get while playing. The purists will argue these are just cosmetic devices to dress up a kinetic novel, but to me they represent an innovative approach to enhance the gaming experience beyond reading dialogue and clicking choice boxes.

It is one of the best for a reason.

Great pacing overall.
The progression isnt grindy and discovering the surroundings is motivating. The simple combat system doesnt feel like its in the way.
The plot actually progresses and unexpected things happen.
Every girl is appealing in her own way.
The atmosphere and presentation is good.

Animations are great as well.
Really this is an excellent standard for what porn games should aim for.

If you like blowjobs and creampies, and especially if you like a small-framed barely legal girl, then this just might be the game for you. You'll get a good amount of varied and well done scenes held together by an okayish game and a decent, mystery driven plot.

Overall presentation and the sex scenes are definitely the highlights of the game. While you still get rather simple animated loops, it's amazing too see how much better those can be when someone cares for details. Girls wriggle, bite their lips, emote with their eyes, and much more. Sound is used appropriately and in sync with the action, and helps a ton as well.

On the other hand, if you are looking for some relationships or story, just skip this. There are no decisions to make, and each girl gets like half a characterization arc at best. The mystery and survival plots start fine but go off the rails by the halfway point. Tons of stuff gets introduced never to be properly explained, and in general things get stupider by the minute. Most listed kinks get homeopathic quantities, and the game seems almost embarrassed that no pussy was eaten in the first half, so it rushes to quickly check those off of the list in the second part. There's also a fairly noticeable point where the game just starts to wrap up. If you squint really hard you should be able to see the text "under development" under those assets and scenes clearly lacking anything interesting or even anything in them. It does have an ending at least.

This might be the best complete package of a game I've played on this site. The gameplay isn't amazing, some fairly basic exploration with uninspired turn-based combat sprinkled in, but let's face it, most of us aren't here for that, and it excels in just about every area.

The story is surprisingly well thought out, and there's plenty of twists as the game goes on to keep you guessing.

The characters are fantastically written, have believable motives (well, everyone gets REALLY horny REALLY often, but it's a porn game so...), and if there were more than a few typos in the entire several-hours-long game, I didn't notice them.

And the art style is incredible. I don't recall ever seeing models quite like this before, and there's a ton of variety to the scenes. You can tell this was a game made over a decent period of time, because the quality of the scenes got better over the course of the game.

If there's one thing I'm a little disappointed by, it's probably the H scene voice acting. It's mostly the same clip being played per person for every scene, once at the very end, but it's cool that there's voice acting at all. Everything else here is just stellar.

Just replayed it, and it's just as good as I remember it.
Wonderful story, loveable characters, it got it all.
Kept me on edge, wanting to learn more but also with fear in my balls of another jump scare.
