Came here to post this, as well. There's no way we're alone. It's annoying as fuck. I despise the devs who limit their hosting to it, FilesFM, and anything else that isn't a straightforward "click>click>save/as". Pixeldrain appears to have cracked down on download caps as well. So that leaves us with the annoying Mega, Drive (until too many downloads), Workupload, GoFile (easily the best, at least for me), and some lesser used others.

Same is happening to me. Pop ups everywhere on MixDrop and even starting to try and install something on my pc. My avast is working overtime on times. Something has def. changed over on that site.

i also have the same issue, popups after popups, then a random redirection on google (aka: go buy this shit)
and the site also want me to install opera for no reason...

my guess is, that there is no one to even work on the site, and is slowly left to rot away.

In my humble opinion, Mixdrop should be removed from the list of approved filehosting sites. Low download speeds, pop-ups that make my antivirus scream with all its might - all this will make you question the safety of this service for users.
I also agree. It was annoying enough a few years ago when you had to click that DL button a few times and then wait for a countdown and click again, but I just had to close three windows and my antivirus stopped two separate downloads just loading the page. I use ESET, so that's at least two antivirus programs having issues with the site.

Is there a way to get attention to this from the moderators?

Just tested the site, with Firefox in private mode and NoScript (and adblocker, internet security etc)

The first attempt gives an "invalid token" error, which seems to happen from clicking on links from this site.
For example, itch.io has the same problem. Can be avoided by using "copy link without tracking" in the right-click context menu of the posted link, then pasting this manually into a new browser tab.

Allowing only the primary site script in NoScript seems to work fine. As mentioned it failed after the first cooldown, then i reloaded the page with F5, and the download started without issues. No pop-ups, no warnings, no nothing.

Can't say anything about the speed, i didn't actually download the file.
