Monster Girl - Integration Program

Seen your poll for monster girl concepts, didn't even bother to vote. The reason is because even while you separate them by humanoid/non-humanoid all of concepts are essentially humanoid. I mean extra pair of arms, no nipples or no nose on face hardly makes concept non-humanoid. Just same old repainted human girls that we have in abundance already. I really think that we need some other tag to separate monster girls from such like succubus, elf, angel and such because those have essentially nothing monstrous about them at all.

Personally i would love more monstrous/feral designs like centaur, mermaid, lamia, arachne (not humanoid design cause no human legs) or even something more humanoid, but with noticeable disctinctions, like Amy from monster girl dreams (crawling eldrich type). Or at least some bold details that remind you that girl is not human like if insect girl would have no pussy in usual spot, but would have one on abdomen.

I'm well aware that i would be in minory with such preferences, but i still think that it would be better to make unique game for niche audience than to make some generic and forgetable one to please everyone.

With how complicated is the game and species being less monstrous is more about technical problems rather than we not wanting to add these, the main thing about the game being modular and we needing an humanoid skeleton for animations (Insectoid being the exception with four arms), the amount of animations needed for such variety would be an overwhelming task for our team, with the game being in 3D.

Like, I really wanted to see full flesh arachness or mermaid but we can only do what we can with the resources we have~
To soon to talk about modding, but if a modder wants to take that work, I may consider helping them. But lets not talk about it for now, the game needs to be in a good shape first.

Ah games is going to be 3d, totally missed that part. Then it totally makes sense.

If the fairy species win will it have size changing abilities?

Edit: I am not talking about them getting younger or having a child like form; I am asking if they will be able to shrink down to Tinkerbell size and have the elasticity of silicone.
I don't think so, is more about keeping Zalia size and animations among species.
Zalia is 1.25m tall, so, I thought fairy would be fitting, but I was thinking more about mythological forest fairies as in
nymph and such, forest spirits more a kind to Thinkerbell fairies.

Size play sounds like fun tho, but is too early to talk about adding more content that what has been planned~

That's why I was hoping for some of the more monstrous races to win, yeah. While all of these options are very humanoid (by necessity, as the dev has explained), some are at least closer to being monstrous like the golem option or insectoid ones. Alas, it looks like it's just going to be the plainer options getting into the game, but it's nice to meet someone with similar tastes here.

(Also, again, no shade on the devs for this. Managing the scope of your project is very much a good thing, and if you don't think animating a drider or shoggoth in full 3d would be a reasonable use of time, then don't! I'd rather a slightly disappointing game get a full release, than a perfect one be consigned to development hell forever.)

The roadmap towards the first build of the game~

When will the monster bits and pieces start getting added onto the base model?
After the first wave of humanoid species are implemented~

The second wave of species will have monster-like bits (With the Harpy having an optional cloaca or regular bits). For the third wave, only the Alraune/Dryad will have humanoid bits~

My plan is making the prologue and start building the whole game from there, I am going to add the second wave of species as soon as the models are done, and then the third one and you know. So, I have no specific point to add them, however, I will be codding all the mechanics and dialogues around all the 9 species from the get-go, making adding the models fairly easy.

Edit: As I was write this comment, I finished the progress report, more info up there~

A DIEGETIC MONSTER GIRL SETTING?!?!? I was so disappointing with the Centaur Girl anime, completely dystopian setting and they completely abandoned all of that to the subtext. Completely just spat in my face! Such an utter product of a culture that has been cowed and castrated! Utterly 21st century Japanese and understated! Compliant! CORPORATE! SANITIZED! KITSCH! So close to saying something about the human experience and it just pandered to "manga audiences" instead.

I think you're digging up nothing but GOLD with this kind of a setting. This is the kind of inter-species kind of story I WANT! Even scifi settings don't do this properly! Its always "its so far in the future that we are all space communists now and the exposition is about as boring as listening to a bureaucrat discuss the budget proposal!"

Give me something gritty and real and give me emotional catharsis while you do it! I am so hopeful for this project and I want you to chase the creative vision and never compromise on it! I want to see the struggle of being a literal parasite species and trying to find a place and sense of self in a world that sees you for the literal parasite you are! Like oh you're a centuar? You weigh a ton and your huge and life is a struggle it is not built for you!

THE DOMESTICATION OF URBAN LIFE IS A DYSTOPIAN SETTING AND I WANNA SEE THE WORLDBUILDING AND SOME EXPOSITION AND THE DRAMA AND THE TRAGEDY OF IT ALL! THE BANALITY OF EVIL AND THE SINCERE EFFORTS OF NORMAL PEOPLE STRUGGLING IN THE WORLD AND CHOOSING TO BE MERCIFUL AND FORGIVING AND LOVING IN SPITE OF PAINFUL SMEAR OF IT ALL! I WANNA SEE PATHOS! I WANNA SEE ALL KINDS OF MONSTER PEOPLE! I AM SO EXCITED!

The closest I ever saw media get to this ideal was the Will Smith movie of "Bright." A buddy cop movie about American ethic conflict. It was a bit gangster and formulaic. BUT IT WAS SO CLOSE! IT FELT REAL IT FELT LIVED IN IT FELT AUTHENTIC! THAT IS WHAT I AM CRAVING! I WANT TO FEEL LIKE ITS NOT ARBITRARY OR CONTRIVED!! THE MONSTER WORLD IS THE WAY IT IS BECAUSE OF PRAGMATISM AND BIAS AND FEELINGS AND COMPROMISES AND... its just so easy to make a racism allegory or a "we are all human beans duurrrrrrrr." No that is missing the point! ITS SO CLOSE! You could even miss the mark and go into the gender identity and ethnic identity struggle and that's not it it either! It's so difficult to elucidate what it is I'm trying to capture Subtext matters but its not everything and I just! I can't make words! There is a secret sauce and I just... I can't!

No matter what I think this is gonna be a wildly impressive project. I genuinely hope the best for its future and for the team of people it takes to execute a vision.
