It's a subjective grey area, but I messaged Patreon a while back for planning for my next game. Their definition matters to Devs who use patreon, because bestiality is not aloud.
So the short answer is it depends on how much animal the monster girl is. A centaur, or a Mermaid or anything that is 50% or more animal or has the body of an animal counts as too much animal and is therefore against Patreon TOS.
A cat girl, which is a human girl with cat ears and cat tail is fine. Anything in which the groin and torso area are animal is also too much animal and counts as Bestiality.
Anyways, that's what Patreon's Trust and Safety team told me, but they have the right to change their definition at any time.
Slimes are definitely not animals. Slime monster is not an animal lol
