More progress on games because of Corona?

Well, it's devs fault for having a family. They should ditch the family and focus on their games. Filthy devs :D
I never thought of it that way.

Thos dastardly sneaky devs.

They only had those families so they could use it as an excuse to get out of speedy updates during a global epidemic and make poor unfortunates like willj45 wait a bit longer.

They truly are the criminal masterminds of the gaming world, milking those poor patrons while the ones not paying complain about delays.

I have every right as a freeloader to bitch about the delays on updates, especially if the (mugs) patreons don't have the balls to do it themselves.

I've found that this forced lockdown (I'd have been at work 40+ hrs per week otherwise) has actually given me the kick up the rear end I so desperately needed to actually work on my own game. Of course I can't say how it'll progress when we're all allowed to go out into the sunshine again, but hopefully by then there'll be enough of it for me to want to tell more of the story.

I think that you gotta break this down into two groups: people who do this as a living (mostly Japanese) and people who do this as a hobby or side hustle (mostly westerners). The first group will either be slightly negatively affected or unaffected, since they can just telework. When you get to the second group then things get a little bit more complicated. I think that some of them will be mostly unaffected (those who are 'essential workers' or can telework to their day job). If there is a dev who is doing this as a side hustle or hobby and they got completely screwed over by the virus then I could see them being either unaffected or completely devastated. This stuff is very hard to monetize and not every dev can build a Patreon large enough to sustain them even if they can make a game that makes 99% of this site's userbase cum buckets. I could see some of these people deciding that their side hustle or hobby just isn't enough to sustain them monetarily and just shutting everything down so that they can focus all of their effort on making ends meet.

I think it's a great opportunity for new devs to show their audience what they could do if they had the support to devote themselves to the game full-time. (For those who can ofc).

Due to the quarantine I have been working non-stop on my game, college and work are on hold at the moment, so it has been a very productive time for me.

I tried to learn how to render with Daz3d since I cant go clubbing and our city is in lockdown after 4pm which means no conjugal visits to "friends with benefits" either... after 1 hour I smashed my head on the keyboard and gave up on my dream of making porn games where a different female model would fuck the male Darrius model in the ass with a giant black strap-on... was going to do them for free too since I dont need extra income... but it was too much for me...

I'd probably do better drawing the scene by hand and scanning the pages (also I cant ren'py) which means if I cant render, I definitely would not be able to learn coding in a few months either...
