Yeah, I've always been bothered by how many AI games tend to be the same sort of art style. I guess "over-rendered" might be how you'd describe it? Something like that. To me, doing things in an artstyle like this is significantly more enjoyable! I expect that, in the future, when I create more games than this one, they will also feature a very similar artstyle, even if they are not about Dragon Maid.
I plan on putting in more content for all of the lovely ladies. A girl being added to the game is nowhere near the end of the content for her; rather, it is just the beginning.
In specific, next update is going to be adding Lucoa, but it is also going to feature additional sexual content for Tohru and Kobayashi, as per community feedback here.
He's definitely a weird pick, but I'm a weird writer, lol.I've got to respect the choice of Fafnir for your reasoning. Even though he is the last character I would have picked.
Absolutely, I am planning on getting caught up with those. There's a lot to read, but I take my writing of the characters very seriously in this, and I want to make sure I can write them as accurately as possible.Though his story does get a lot of focus, so I recommend catching up with the mang. The previous arc had a large focus of Fafnir and builds him quite a bit further. Normally I don't push people to read manga over watching anime, each their own, but if you want to focus on writing Fafnir specifically, I think it would be quite important to be up to date on his story. Same goes for his spin-off manga, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Fafnir the Recluse. The spin-offs aren't likely to get anime adaptations and that'd be 40 chapters of mostly extra Fafnir fluff to study him from.
Something I plan on adding more of throughout the game's development are the "Normal Dialogue" conversations with the characters. I actually really care about making those as accurate as possible, even though I know a lot of people are probably going to just mash skip through them to get to the erotic parts--which is fine, I'm not going to shame anyone for wanting to see the porn in a porn game, haha. But, I would feel that I am doing a disservice to the franchise if I just wrote something generic in there without much thought behind it--so in conclusion, yes, I DO think that Fafnir would listen to King Crimson if he heard them.
Maybe something more heavy/death metal could suit his vibes well, too...
i mean to be honest i'm considering including some gay/genderbent content in this game involving those two, buuut that's definitely a "further in the future" sort of thing

Personally, when it comes to fan content, I like when the core of the character's stay largely aligned with their canon selves, and something like their gender can be pretty central to that, and in a lot of regards, I'd argue that is the case with these characters in question, as there's a significant amount of cultural context to their attitudes and the way they interact with their media, which has their gender as something relevent
If there's good writing leading up to justifying the deviation, then that's fine in my book, but when it comes to something like a gender bend, either it's raw feminization, which feels unjustified in this case, based on my understanding or it's magically assisted, which isn't quite the same in terms of the writing transition and how we got there, so it becomes about justifying why we needed to do this, instead of keeping it as is, which is done through doing something compelling with the aftermath, and properly engaging with the mentality of the person being changed, and engaging with the motives of the person doing the changing

Would be fitting, would like it too, would also have a basis for another instance of the power dynamics things, having her start shaving as a result of faf insisting for those who don't like that. She is a slob at the start, but a big part of it after the fact though is the element of why would she? Sure, if she does it for her own comfort, sure, but if she has been unshaven out of laziness for this long, she'll be at least used to it, making it less likely she'd decide to start doing so, though not entirely unrealistic, just less likelyAs much as i hate to admit it, she IS a slop. So it'd be fitting.

New update dropped! This is my first time updating a game thread on F95zone, so, I hope that I did it right? If not, then, whoops!
I definitely underestimated how much work an update would be, considering I thought I could easily handle this in a week. Still, the update was finished without any delays! I am just also very, very, very tired. I'm glad that my schedule moving forwards is an update every two weeks, now, haha.
I hope that you all enjoy! I did my best to incorporate as much feedback as I got from here as possible.

Not sure why there would be problems there... I can try to look into it, but I can't say I have any experience with Joiplay at all. Could you provide a screenshot of your specific issue?
Somehow, the "latest updates" considers that the game was updated a week ago, and not just recently. No idea how it works.

Yeah, so, F95zone only lets you promote an update every 2 weeks, I believe? I was hoping that wouldn't count the game being posted as the "first update", so this could still get promoted--but it seems that wasn't the case.
Won't be an issue for me going forwards, as the game will update every 2 weeks, but it does mean this particular update's probably gonna be a bit low on traction.

Hmm. This is very odd. Almost all of these are unchanged from Ren'py defaults, while line 318 there is just "scene bg fafroom with dissolve"--nothing with a "Name int".
I see that you're on Android. I haven't done any official Android builds of the game yet, so it's possible whatever conversion/unofficial patch you used to put it on Android has caused this.
It sounds like there's enough interest to start putting out an Android port of the game. I'll see what I can do for next update; I don't have an Android device to actually test such a port myself, but Ren'py does have features for porting it, so, hopefully it'll end up working? But, I can't promise it will be super stable.
I wanted to respond to this by real quick making a quick-and-dirty Android port, but my computer doesn't seem to like my attempts at doing so, even after following a tutorial...
I'll do what I can! If I am able to make an official Android port, to fix whatever issue you have going on, then you can expect that by next update! And If I can't, well, I can't.
(Alternatively, if you're not using Android, then that'd be the problem--Ren'Py does say you're running an Android version of the game.)
