Yes, this is quite harsh.Cool demo. Definitely some time and effort spent there.
I'm curious though...
Where the fuck is your Patreon/Subscribestar?
Why would I play a demo made by an unconfident developer who doesn't even believe in his own work?
Fuck the money. Without the constant moral support, pushing, and even nagging of your fans, this won't go anywhere.
You didn't even leave a link to a Discord server. If this is a test, what are your going to base your results on? The number of likes this thread gets?
Good luck, in your life. I seriously doubt this project will find any luck.
This is not for me. I'll come back if and when you grow up.
(Sorry for being harsh on you. You've got something going on for you and it's a shame to see your hours of work-play go to waste. With some guidance, you might be able to create something that many people will enjoy.)
I agree with some of your points, but this judgement was clearly lacking enough observation to make the correct conclusion.
1. A couple of years ago, I released a demo and made a patreon straigh away. The game was shit and the patreon was shiny. People figured that I'm just trying to take their money.
2. This project is a prototype. It's goal is feedback. You missed the Developer Notes. I want to know if this game is even interesting for this audience and if I should update this game or transform it to the original idea.
3. I think that people should pay for a good product. This is a demonstration, not a product.
It's a shame you didn't try the game. I'd gladly hear your feedback.
