I can't download the tool from the main page ( ) did someting happen?
You need to use Patreon as a referrer. Either use zths (AdventCirno, the developer's) (if you can access Patreon) or spoof the referrer.

This is so that people can easily support the developer if they want to (feel free to correct me on this zths) as long as they have access to Patreon in their country.

So is it at all possible to cancel the tool injecting its own font into the game as default?

I'd like to play with the recent Kagura release of The Mage of Olekta Desert (https://f95zone.to/threads/magician-of-the-olecta-desert-v1-00-barony-sengia.3562/), so an English TL'd game, would like to use the tool for some help/cheat, but it really seems to dislike the font injection.

Some samples: all fine without tool (1), using unifont without font size change (2, 3), unifont with -7 size (4), and finally an error when trying to access the same menu in-game (5) with another font set in mtool (MS PMincho e.g. is skinnier -less space-; tried with some others as well) I get the error (which by the way says: "Script 'Bitmapクラスの拡張' line 233: RGSSError occurred. failed to create bitmap").

I'm assuming this is general behavior for many if not most/all VX Ace games with the tool, maybe? (or at least many with certain basic scripts? dunno)

My answer is no.
Because it will lead to more "questions", I don't want it to lead to more "Q&A sessions".
I need to keep the behavior of the various engines as consistent as possible, so that users don't have to learn too much.
Is it possible to make the text log available even if you haven't translated the text?
Click "Restore original text" on translate tab.

I was just thinking along the lines of a checkbox for "No font injection (for games in your preferred language already)" in the main tab of the tool, somewhere along the font stuff, or something.
Dunno if it's much work from a dev's point of view, but probably, if you are that against it - though this way users really have to be...erm..."dummy-adjacent" to ask help and Q&A sessions about such a straightforward checkbox's usage, xD. Stranger thing's have happened, though, true.

Well, guess it's time to look for something different to get some on-the-fly cheat going with that particular game.

There used to be a "checkbox" for this, but I got rid of it because a lot of people couldn't figure it out.

Holy shit, that's... Really sad. On so many levels.
On a other side, The complex of this option have been increased over time, because some of the engine can't do a lot things after boot phase, So it has more condition of this option(on some of engines), and conditions between engines means more users will confused with it.

I'm doing the maximum of 'default for everything', that's making everything simple for end users.

The best of this tool is you don't have to consider anything, just click and go.
You know, when you give options, it must have someone using it wrong.

Literally can't play RPGM games without this tool at this point, it's invaluable!

I've got a question though - is it possible to change the default settings of MTool? Specifically, I'd like this setting to always be set to 4 instead of having to manually change it every time I start a game.

There are a few other settings which would be nice to be able to "save" as well, since it gets a bit repetitive to have to configure it every time I use the program.

you can use sugoi translation till the last the day of your subscription, so when you sub on 1st december you keep it till 1st january. After that you cant use it anymore.

When the subscription expired, you can't make new translate with paid engine, but can still load the file already translated, with your tool.

Is it me or does the font becomes too big to fit inside the text boxes when you use this tool ? How can I fix that ? I use it to play games in English and don't need the tool to translate anything at all

EDIT: Just realized it changes the game's font as well, how do I prevent from touching the game text AT ALL, I only want the ability to touch the variables and stuff like that

I see you talking about why there's no option for stopping it injecting its own font. The problem is that I'm playing Sangeki no Gear at the moment and if I use Mtool it removes all text from the game. Menus, dialogue etc. Even the "Start" and "Continue" on the main menu are gone.

It would depend on the method the programmer used to unlock the CG. I would assume most of them use switches, so you would have to figure out which switches control which scenes and then set them in MTool.
