was it a case of the original folder had either japanese or extended characters in it, and the new folder didn't?oh this is even more baffling. I crashed the game, moved the game folder out of its container folder, and suddenly maps work now. what is even happening?
depends on the game engine. Some it does automatically, if it can. Some games have a 'public' variable and another 'private' variable, make sure to check the full variable list. Another 'also' so variables, especially when relating to characters(especially RPGM) there might be a value under the variables tab, but that same value can be found under the Actor tab, either in their main stats, or under the parameters button.First time using this, is it supposed to save the changes/apply them on its own? I've changed values but it isn't updating in game.
Its WolfRPG. My MTool only shows DataEdit,DataLock, Translate and Mods, yours seem to have a few more options in the tabs. I'm changing values on the editor, but when I switch back they're back to the original values too.depends on the game engine. Some it does automatically, if it can. yeah Wolf isn't exactly the easiest to cheat in using mtool. I struggled with it too at first using it to cheat in the game that's on here, called MYIts WolfRPG. edit: Figured it out, thanks for the help.
Was the solution waiting a couple seconds after changing it in mtool, and before switching back? Its WolfRPG. No I just found the different variables as you mentioned, in one of them nothing was changing even though I was changing the numbers, but when I found the right ones (that you can alter) stuff started changing fast and easy. Good tool. As you guys mentioned it isn't exactly clear on everything (language barrier most likely) but its still pretty nice and in this instance for Wolf RPG, its the best option for editing at the moment. Was the solution waiting a couple seconds after changing it in mtool, and before switching back?
Because my experience is that it works, you change a value under the 'DataEdit' tab, it just needs some time to take effect (probs needs to refresh the whole table behind the scene for the game, or some such). For WolfRPG, that is.
I have the same problem as well!I'm trying to install unifont but receive this error

have you tried running mtool as admin first, then install the font? as font installation puts the font in windows/fonts folder, it might be targeted by UACI have the same problem as well!
