Ren'Py - Mutant College [v0.10.2] [Space Samurai Games]

I was right about my initial feeling that this game is taking way too much "inspiration" from a certain other, similar game. Just started and the dean already looks way too similar to another certain dean of that other game. Ridiculous! Also, the story writing isn't bad per se, but boring and bloated with too many unnecessary words.
The intro was written so badly, I've already lost all of my previous interest in this game.
Moving or skipping forward confirmed my suspicion: The writing stays very weak, but the pacing, renders and overall atmosphere of the game are okay.

I finally stopped playing after ~ 10 minutes because of boredom. Which means, before the free-roam-grind. Which makes the game even worse. No cringe, fortunately.

Artwork and story are great the only things that would make it perfect is 1:: a cheat menu to skip a lot of the grind stats, money,evoultion points ect.. 2: hints or a quest log to tell you how to get some of the events and 3: More things we can do with the villains like have our way with them in exchange with letting them go

0.8 With every update this game gets better and better. I absolutely love the direction this story is going. The quest log has been fixed and improved and the crashes no longer occur. Other than the little bit of grinding that comes with most sandbox games I really don't have anything negative to say. Keep up the great work Dev!!!

0.2 UPDATE The introduction of the quest log is a little helpful but I noticed also that not all of the new quests made it into the Quest Log. Also there appears to be no way to trigger the Rebecca quest to update her on MC powers. No helpful tips on how to trigger it as well. Taking some of the girls on dates to the Lake crashes the game still. I'm still enjoying it but hopefully they do something about the griding they claim doesn't exist in the game. Leaving it at 3 stars until improvements are made.

0.1 Renders are fantastic and the story is pretty damn good. I was enjoying it to the point that I attempted the grind. And let me tell you, the grind is heavy and stupid repetitive. This game needs cheats because that shit is ridiculous. Either that or I really hope a non sandbox version comes out eventually. It needs an in game walkthrough at least because it feels like some of the events are triggered at complete random.
