Ren'Py - My Brother's Wife [v0.12] [Beanie Guy Studio]

I did not finish the game so it seems good. But my eyes are bleeding of dark themed brother and especialy situation story telling subtitles. Please somebody change it at least light green light yellow or anything light. Cant read it. I think other than that it is a good job.

One of the best games out there. The story is very intriguing and the setup is very good with the animations. Sometimes it has too long but carefully selected dialogues but overall its really good. Graphics are good but could be a lot better.

Game is Not worth the Download. While the Art is ok, the game style and pace are just, not worth the time. If you like endless choices and no sex at all then this game is for you. I wont bash this or rip it apart piece by piece..its just overall NOT fun. GL to the Dev i had high hopes for this early on but i wont mess with this again.

Interesting game but quite abandoned...
The game is a novel that unfolds very very slowly...too much for my taste.

The problem is that the game is 4 years old and the majority of the fans, including myself, are tired of not achieving the main objective of the MC...

Fuck your brother's wife

The game is otherwise quite poor, weak animations... no sound in the game without music. There is some sound in the sexual scenes but it is clear that it is taken from a porn scene.

And it's a shame because the development is not that bad...because it goes so slowly it is very interesting to see how your brother's wife becomes interested in you, but there comes a time when it no longer makes sense.

Like she comes to your room at night and gives you a handjob, then at the end of the game you catch her masturbating and even then you don't do anything together.



The love and hate point system is quite strange since it is not explained and that is why you can miss some interesting scenes.

The Jacuzzy scene is one of the best I've seen and I love how the MC and his brother's wife have that mischievous thing between them without his brother knowing.

At the end of the game there are like two endings, either you are with your brother and you hide that he is also a womanizer or you go after his wife and you are against him.

I love this game.. in one way.
I think the idea of sex with your brother wife is really great. The story is very good narrated, lot of scenes, also very good images. The girl is cute, not gorgeous and i find it absolutely right. Everything was going great but...
Is taking too long without advances. I don't look for the usual and bored way but.. I think they could show some attraction controled. Maybe a kiss or a little further accusing drinks. MC with others making her jealous.
IDK, they should be falling each other, obvious sexual attraction denied, anything!!
But sadly a great project is getting more and more bored. They game grows up but the narrations is still in the intro...

I think the setting of this game is very interesting, the plot, and the dialog is very appealing to me, however, the updates are too slow, and the addition of the very annoying sandbox in the existing episode 11 really further reduces my liking level, and I hope that the developers will increase the speed of the updates and remove the annoying sandbox!

Far too much extra nonsense in this game, you can spend 20 minutes just clicking through pointless scenes getting nowhere on some side story that your not interested in. These sceens can be greatly reduced in length and still maintain the full content of the scene,

I really liked this game at first. It's a new developer and the concept is one I can latch on to and I thought it would be pretty good. Unfortunately, as the updates have moved along, the AVN has bounced between good updates and not so good.

To be fair, this seems like a new developer so a lot of the problems I have with it are probably related to this. I will say the developer does crank out regular updates with significant length to the content. It is clear they are working hard at trying to make a good game, and while I look forward to seeing them grow, I am afraid this AVN will probably not be much more than just average.

So the good... the wife is hot and she is well done. While she is caving to the corruption, it is a very slow burn but a mostly realistic one. She is obviously having some fun flirting but there is clearly some conflict there as she struggles with the idea of infidelity. So while the pace of the relationship with the wife might be slow for some folks, it seems to fit with the story. To offset this, the dev has provided the MC with several other women to get jiggy with... this helps take the sting off the slow burn.

However, the h scenes are just kind of meh. Again, it is a new developer and unfortunately, they are testing and growing their skills while trying to work on the AVN. As a result, the h scenes are just kind of vanilla and short.

The worst part is the story just seems to kind of wander. There seems to be some kind of underlying drama going on with the brother not being totally legit when it comes to investing, managing money and honesty. Getting there, however, is just kind of a mess. The story jumps around to different random events with pieces of the mystery getting revealed along the way, but the events seem like the dev came up with an idea and threw it in there. It does not feel like a well thought out story with a clear path. Instead we find our MC at a Strip Club, truth or dare in a hot tub, mowing a yard, cleaning the neighbors pool, etc...

In this last update, the dev decided to add a horrid point and click that did not seem to have any rhyme or reason to it. You just had to stumble around and hope you clicked on the right thing to get you through the scene. Once again, we have a dev adding gamification that does not really add anything to the AVN and does not provide any hints or clues on how to find the different scenes. It's a frustrating section that is way too complex to just stumble around.

Anyway, at it's core, I still really like this game, and if I had written a review earlier in the development, I would have given it 4 starts. Now, however, while I still look forward to it, I can't really give it more and an Average rating. I am looking forward to seeing the developer grow and hopefully they will continue to produce AVNs.

Yes, 2 stars is all I can give this. And that is generous considering the deep loathing I now harbor for this game.

This is not a thing about "slow burns" as I dont really see this as a slowburn or fast?burn type of story.
Game is called my brother's WIFE. So you expect her to be the main girl.
She probably is. But it makes sense that as of 0.11 we still haven't banged her.
I'm completely fine with that. She IS after all your brother's wife, and you live with them.
Honestly I personally dont care if it takes 20 more updates before we "hit" her. But thats more down to me not being that attracted to her to begin with.
Sadly this is true for most of the ladies in this game, for me very few - if any, is attractive enough.
Might be down to the render quality, it's decent, but also kinda ugly at times. Dunno if it's the characters or the render quality that makes some of the ladies ...not so attractive.
It's hard to WANT to bang your brother's wife, as more than half the time she's not even attractive.
This is of course a matter of taste. Your mileage may vary.

But the ugliness of the game overall, with very few "pretty" renders, isn't enough to warrant only a 2 star, right?
Surely the story and the flow and 'enjoyment' gotta be good at least? I mean after all some reviews claim the story and writing is SO realistic and good.

See, for the most part it is TOO realistic, so realistic that it get's extremely BORING.

I have for the last few updates, (0.11 being the latest one at the time of writing) felt that this game keeps getting more and more boring. More and more yapping, and very, VERY little "lewd" stuff.
Again, not every game needs to throw sex scenes at you every 5 minutes. I'm fine with some nice writing and storytelling. Getting to know the characters etc.

But with this game, it all just feels so incredibly boring.
The previous update the MC ended the update with getting a certain girl in bed (no, not the bro's wife lol, check back in 5 years and it might happen)

There's so much talking in the game. In 0.11 there's almost nothing BUT talking.
Early parts of 0.11 there's talking about laws and stuff, super captivating stuff to waffle on and on about for SEVERAL minutes in an AVN.
Then the MC is at work. Nothing interesting really happening there either. There's even a HUGE part, that goes on foreeeever, where MC's brother is talking to another person working at the company. For, several minutes.
It's not even the MC in the conversation, he's just sitting there, like us, watching his brother talk to this lady for a looong while.
How is this FUN?

I personally am DONE with this slogfest.
On top of all the negatives, the dev decided to implement FREE ROAMING into this game now. As if the game wasn't boring enough, now you have to click arrows to run around to find someone to talk to. WHY?

And this following part has NOTHING to do with my rating, but it needs to be mentioned anyway, the development time for this game, is taking longer and longer per update. Early on this game had updates somewhat frequently, but as the updates poured in, it started to take longer and longer.
But then you might say, maybe there's way more renders and animations, hence the longer dev time? No.
And I forgot how long 0.11 took, but man, that many months, just to watch people talk. Then watch people talk more. And then..guess what happens then? More yapping! hooray, what a lovely ADULT VN.


Not every game needs to have sex constantly. This game has some sex scenes, sure. So I'm not saying this game is without it. Just that this game really feels like it's made by a dev that forgot where he wanted to take the story.. or "story" I should say.
It's just..so..boring.
First half of 0.11 I was SO close to just shutting it down. But I decided to stick with it, bc maybe it gets better? Well now looking back, that time should've been spent elsewhere. Yes there's a lewd scene, and a semi-lewd scene in 011, but really meaningless on all fronts. Has no purpose other than "let's force in some sex so ppl cant complain".


I do not recommend this one, as it's a total waste of time.
At least give it another year or two, then MAYBE the game actually becomes interesting.
For here and now though, play something else.

If the DEV himself reads this, best of luck to ya, but this is literally one of the most boring AVNs I've ever played. sorry.

This game knows how to tease the player, in a good way.

There is very little full on h scenes and none with the main girl, and the scenerios the MC goes through isn't that unique, rather cliche infact.

That does not detract from the fact that these scenerios, with the context and dialogue, are incredibly exciting. Though this game follows the common tropes, it executes perfectly, making though admittedly rather tame actions, incredibly hot.

The art could be better, but once you get into it, just the circumstances MC finds himself if is exciting enough. And the fact that there are different paths to take is also really fun.

Remember playing this game when it's first released. I enjoyed it waited for next updates and as soon as updates comes I downloaded and played. Then waited for next updates. I enjoyed the slow burn cause I always love slow burn. Then game slowly started to become cause there's nothing interesting happening. I'm not talking about lewd scenes but there are other elements you can enjoy like humor etc.
Models are your usual models but brother's wife is good but it's also usual models. Renders are good but not best.
I dropped the game, now I don't even remember at which part I dropped this. I passed on this one don't whether this one become interesting in recent updates. You can try this one yourself and judge it.

Pros: Great Premise and Brother's wife is a good pick for the character.
Cons: Just about everything else; some examples: way to slow of a burn, MC is incredibly passive and will feel just like it's luck if the "seduction" eventually happens, forced side character to try and appease the fact its a porn game. etc.

Yet another "milk the patrons" game...

+ animations are mid-tier at best

- story is long winded
- too much dialogue
- narrator describes situations that should simply be clear from the imagery
- game has been in development for 4 years and you don't even get a blowjob from "your brother's wife"/sister in law
- developer has transformed the "slow build-up" of sexual tension into a continuous teaser of a game that does not deliver on it's tag-lines (most likely to keep the punters paying)

Title is my brothers wife but your not sexing your brothers wife.
Hence it's bait you're getting milked it has also been in development for years and so far it hasn't gone farther then just teasing and having sex with women who are not the brother's wife.

seems as this dev dev is losing it.
there is no clear direction anymore, so for all we know in the next few years/updates martians, futas or tent.monsters could appear out of the blue, because, why not?
renders are mediocre, writing has its ups and downs, and in that regard solely it would be an average avn.
what makes it an avn to avoid, apart from "slow" burn (Including side characters for no apparent reasons), would be sudden appearance of a never mentioned before mcs GF to solve "slowburn" aka no sex-scenes.
thats one of the worst moves this dev could come with, and he did pull it.
kudos to all his supporters and players.
one star, solely for some decent models and initial devs idea.

Excellent slow burn game.
People who appreciate slow seduction should definitely try this game out. This is as realistic as it can get for a porn game.
Even tho the 3.5 stars was off putting for me, i tried it out and was surprised to see its this good.

Cons:
-It's not for people who expect to bang the girls 10 mins into the game.
-You can only get to 2nd base with the main woman, even tho its light.

In the beginning, it looked like it had potential.
Years later and we're still waiting for it.

The premise is great: a young man goes to live with his brother and sister-in-law. Those don't have the best married couple life, so a good start for a netori game was there.
Playing this as someone looking for immersion wasn't a great experience. There is barely any choice that feels rewarding or that could be exactly what I would want to have done.
After all this time, I don't even feel like progress has been made. Of course, there are a few in-game days. But if that is going to be the argument, we could just add a few time skips. That is a game and not real life, are you expecting me to play the equivalent of six months to see some progress?

And no, I don't even think, regarding in-game days, we should be near penetration scenes yet.
But the little things that could be adding to a buildup don't seem to be there.
The ones we got are basically just the cliché ones.

And the side characters, mostly added just to give at least some action to the game, aren't being used in a way I could call satisfactory.
-The neighbor (Diana or smth) appears basically for a BJ, which is great, but the MC is too passive and just stays there like nothing is happening, basically.
-The sis-in-law's friend (Bella?) appears to have some kisses, a HJ and something else later that I don't even remember. It could be great, but ended up not even memorable. Especially, not even getting a BJ in the pool scene.

-The MC's friend, appears to finally give you some true action. She is initially very sweet but was badly implemented. And the idea of having the MC WITH HIS BROTHER in the pool was in bad taste to me. All the possible interactions with Jen in the pool do not make up for having to get Justine naked/breasts exposed in front of your stupid brother. Even less her kissing him. You don't even get anything with Jen worth of that, to me (to my tastes). At least you do have some alone time with her later, but by that point, I didn't care anymore.

That's totally not NTR, but it feels too much unrewarding to have your brother together in most of the scenes, basically all night. At least he could have been called to work or whatever. It just feels out of place and unnecessary, you know?

One last worry is that, regarding all those wife love, hate, brother love, hate, enemy points and whatever... it may be getting to a point in which they are more blocking options that you SHOULD see, rather than giving you an actual unique playthrough. I mean this in the sense of you choosing an action not because it makes sense to your MC, but rather because otherwise it would be getting some brother/wife points you don't want. That seems to be what the DEV wants, but I find it to be just annoying.


Overall:

Animations:In the end, the few sex scenes we got were mid, average. Decent at best.
Image quality/posing/etc: Some renders are actually good, but not much by today standards.
Music/SFX: I don't really care for the music, I mostly always mute because I don't usually like those same songs being reused/bad sons being chosen. So I can't say much in that regard.
Story: not the worst as in the overall plot, just don't deliver much.
Gameplay/progression: the worst aspect. I don't feel like my time spent in the game is rewarded or fun.

I'm adding to ignore list right now. Maybe in a few years I might remember it and come back to check what became of it.
Maybe my grandchildren may play the full version of this, together with HL3.

This is a really nice game, The brother's wife is hot in a next door hot neighbor kind of way. It is a slow burn AVN so I get why some people don't enjoy it as much as I do. For those who have issues with the fonts - just download the mod that fixes them and you'll be able to read without any problems.

I cannot give this more than 2 stars rating despise this game having a strong plot fondations and interesting character.
Because this is a silent watcher simulator, nothing happens!!!
Its like if you were a shadow bound to only read text for eternity, you get no piece of the action! The brother do get some but after all this developpement, I think its time to give me us a little something.

One of the most draggy and worse corruption game ever. The renders are above average, the animations are nothing but 2-3 renders on loop, Storyline is one of the most used and cliched shit in AVNs and to make it worse it is extremely draggy.
