RPGM - My New Life: Revamp [v0.98.5] [Beggar of Net]

The way the game is built is just badly designed, for instance if you wanna start focusing on the sister you have to go through a dozen insignificant side plots, half the main story line and do multiple things in specific order just to move to the next stage with said character. It feels like a walking simulator where you need to go to one edge of the map to the next until a cut scene is triggered. I know its a porn game but many characters have the personality of a cardboard box, like the janitor that was about to be raped that you saved all of a sudden will let you do anything with her.

And the bugs by god are they endless. You have to save everytime you use a phone ingame or risk images being stuck or a black screen. Many times the built in bug fixes won't save it.

Main charcter is the biggest simp you can think of not to mention the down syndrome eyes are a major turnoff.

Overall its the type of game that would make you delete it right after you finally finish the scenes of the only charcater you ever cared about.

- It has the same graphics and quality as the previous game
- Has a hint system
- A mini-map was added

CONS:
- It has a little slow gameplay
- It has a high time consumption
- The quality is not very good

Review:
I really can't seem to like porn games of RPGM style. This new revamp version is better than the abandoned version, but the quality and graphics remain the same. In this version, several things were added, such as a hint system that greatly facilitates and the game districts were also reduced, so you can walk around the map without having to spend a lot of time going to one place and another. anyway, it is a game that will consume you a lot of time because it is extremely slow. You have to do a lot of tasks to get small sex scenes that are not worth much effort. The story is different and better, leaving the gameplay a little more fluid but you will get lost a little, because it is a rpgm game.

So, why did I gave 2 stars?
Playing a game again that was extremely tiring makes you a little discouraged but when we see that it's a new story and another gameplay we give it a chance. However, it remains the same, but without many bugs and with a reduced grind, it still has a lot, because you will have to do many things that are not worth the effort and you will also spend hours, and hours and hours playing and that you will only be wasting your time. Therefore, the developer could have launched his game on another engine, maybe he doesn't know. The fact is that whoever played the abandoned version will have to wait a long time for this new one to have the same content as the previous one, until then, without anything new, the game will be more of a tiring game like the previous game was, but the quality of the previous game was good, like this new game too, but unfortunately I can't enjoy playing RPGM because I spend a lot of time.

This game is something else.

I get we can see some flaws but for me the quality of the game made those almost totally irrelevant for me.

When I mean quality I talk about is the design, this is so unique from what everything else I played, this sort of 3D cartoonish style who almost cross the too much ridiculous shape you can have from the characters. But it's also what make it even more exciting.

So that's for the aspect in general.

As from the REVAMP himself, oddly I did not found it was a bad idea to make one, even if the original was not finished. The quality or the render are better there's no doubt about it. I found the scenario more mature at some aspect.

This game is almost like the ultimate harem game, and it explore everything in form of kind of sexuality : incest, gay, transgender (even the content for the last 2 was uncommon)

One of the most unforgettable game I ever play and certainly the one I take the most time on it.

This is one of my all time favorite adult game to date! This game got one of the greatest story in adult games ever. It has a very likable MC who are very easy to enjoy playing as. The rest of the cast is just incredible, every character has unique look with an equal unique personality. It got something for everyone, big ass, small ass, big tits and small tits and a shit ton more of different stuff. This definitely is one of the few adult games I play for the story as well as the sex scenes, I genuinely enjoy how the story evolves and progresses.
I can't wait to see how it's going to end!

After playing both the original and revamp version, I will say that I enjoyed the sex gameplay of the revamp far more. Characters were hot and animations are great.

Overall I really enjoyed this game and is personally one of my favourite games on the site.

better ui, slightly less buggy, the game is objectively better than the original. It's not without flaws but still it doesn't deserve the hate.
Also many people say that the game is more linear, which isn't true since most of the added content can be done whenever except for the main quest and the school.

I wouldn't call it a "Revamp" it's more of a "rehash". Most of the same problems from the original are still present - grindy time sink, crappy mini-games, a whole lot of boring busywork - the story has been changed only slightly from what I can tell. Pretty disappointing.

When I read revamp I thought we might see a more streamlined player friendly version, maybe a different engine. Something that would justify the redo but none of these things have happened. It just appears to be an opportunity to make all the same bad design choices again and continue raking in the Patreon dollars with minimal effort.

I love to play this game . Animations are fantastic.. Only thing is going from one place to another is little hectic.. Idea of making revamp was fantastic ..
Story is like actually we are leaving.. characters sie and shapes are of my genre.

A very good game with some nice animations and it's not one of those ones that you can finish in one sitting. I am enjoying it a lot and would give it 5 stars but it can be quite buggy at times and it annoys me how every character is thicccccc as fuck, would prefer some variety.

Its basically the same game with little improvements, revamp just seems like an excuse to keep the money flowing through while making it seem like its still being worked on to be frank.

Was disappointed because I thought this would add a lot more things and change the game around significantly. The game itself is not extremely bad but I just don't see a point in the revamp if you are not going to do it big.

Also it seem that some aspects went a step back and feels like it is more grindy.

This was one of the first porn games i have played, and i LOVED the incest part the most, but now i just noticed, that he changed the story completely, and one of the best parts (Real mother) is never going to be developed.

I downloaded the game, but when i noticed on the first scene that incest was removed, i deleted the game and canceled my Patreon Support.

If he releases a patch i may return and play it.

I love how its much simpler and straight forward than the last one. I believe theres little to no chance to miss out on good content in this one. In the og version you could miss out on good stuff and even lose a main girl if you took a right instead of a left or did missions in a different order. Without that huge ass walkthrough and a cheating mod you were pretty much fucked.

i have played the original version two years ago. it was rich in content and had the right tone to it as far as adult games are concerned, but was buggy and the going from place to place grind was a pain. after getting stuck there, it seems the dev made a good decision and decided to make the revamped version easier to play. i have finished this version without getting stuck at any point (no easy feat considering this is in alpha stage). the game froze a few times but it was no biggie, as you are prompted to save every day. the hints system is not perfect yet, but it works well enough. graphics-wise the game looks simple at first, but you do get used to it and the animations are well done, the sex eventually finishing with ahegao, of which i'm a big fan. transportation is much easier now thanks to bus stations everywhere. most quests were fun to go through and you get your exploration fill, which is an integral part of rpgm games, thanks at least to the magazine finding quest towards the end. all in all, a very good game already, that kept me busy and entertained for four evenings.

Great graphics, mostly smooth animation, interesting story, and plenty of sex to go around. It's just an awesome game overall. I personally think it's better than the previous version of the game in many ways.

Played with cheats on money so might be grindier experience without this cheat.

Probably one of my favorite game made with RPGM but has all the problem of a game made with RPGM (Time spent just walking with no added value/Saving system not optimal (not as good as Renpy for example)/No rollback/...)

Pros:
Decent amount of Content (that hit my kinks so YMMV)
All around better than previous iteration while keeping what I found enjoyable in.
Mini map is pretty useful, Hints worked mostly well (sometime confusing or wrong but corrected itself most of the time if you slept a night).

Meh (as in not horrible but could be improved upon):

Navigation on computer isn't really snappy could use a rework (instant click + navigation from icon to icon with the keyboard) don't know how much time it would take so can't tell if it's really worth it tho.
Travel could be improved imo:
- A 5$ taxi system accessed with smartphone to directly get to a place/house could be nice.
-A quick travel to school sound kinda necessary IMO (those minutes add up with no real added value for the player IMO).

Cons:
*Not a fan of RPGM games in general so some of the problem might be general issue rather than specific to the game.*
The game is a fucking time-sink, everything takes more time than it should for no real reason beside the game engine.
It can't be really played in short burst (IMO) since you would need to remember what you were doing where you need to go and what you were doing and the fact that every action takes fucking forever.
Video that can't be muted even though you muted sound in settings :/
The first screen with all the dancing ladies is super laggy on my comp for some reason.
*Edit:* Too many action in the 15-20h timeslot compared to the rest might want to put every action possible in an excel sheet and see if there are cluster of actions at some spaces and move some around (unless it's by design but I don't think it's a good design to have to skip some timeslot everytime because there is nothing to do).

Conclusion:
Objectively a 3* (IMO) but a 4* in my heart.
If you want to play a pseudo shota wandering (aimelessly) around town banging everything he sees this game is for you.

I actually like RPGM games better than Renpy ones and Ive already played MY NEW LIFE. can't say I'm not disappointed it was't finished but I'm willing to give it a try to the new version. I think it's understandable that the DEV wanted to start over, he tried to cover too much stuff and he kept adding more and more and not finishing any or finishing some stuff too soon. I hope this time he will use what he made in the first attempt and just polish it rather then trying to put more stuff into it and finally complete the game.

This is a terrible reboot of this game.You spend countless time walking here and walking there. This has become a VN with hours of walking and grinding. The grinding is worse because it is compounded by pointless walking. The story seems a bit better but the do one thing and only one thing ruins what was good about the game before the reboot. This was the only game that I would replay. Now I have deleted all of my new revamp copies. I do not see any reason to continue it is that bad now. Tooo much pointless walking.

People are just bitching about his game left right center; not reading that the game is still in alpha.. give some time to the dev; the scenes are being reworked; also new jobs are being added; the game is more linear now; the renders are great and yes bugs exist but the game is in alpha.. please read the same before ranting

this game have too many mistakes....
It's a pity since he has very good illustrations and he looks very entertaining despite it.
It could improve a lot by eliminating some things like the city map and adding others such as stories with classmates and their mothers, school teachers and weekend jobs.

i think the revamp works better than the old game just not enough content yet... played the revamp at version 0.01_3 alot of things look better and the game runs better than the old game...most of the story didn't change like I throught it would .... what content i could play was very good...
