VN - Ren'Py - Completed - My New Roommate [v1.1] [Iceridlah]

The experience feels rushed, lacking depth in its plot development. It's frustratingly railroaded due to one missed choice, making it feel overly controlled. Sadly, the story fails to capture interest or engagement.

A short but sweet ride. While I agree with some that the cam show plot ruined the buildup, looks like the dev was going for a short game so their choices make sense. The FMC is very attractive looks as well as personality wise. The renders look good for their time and there's enough choices to stick around and play with the decisions to unlock the full gallery.
Definitely recommended to those who like a sweet vanilla one shot. 4.5 stars

What a frustrating disappointment.
I'll be very, very generous and give it 2 stars because the main girl is attractive (in spite of the short blue hair). Other than that I can't think of a single good thing to say about it.
It's lazy, too short to bother releasing, the characters are about as developed as a disposable spoon, the gameplay choices are there merely to trick the player into failure, the story is as shallow as it is brief (3 hours would be hard to reach even with all the endings).

My advice is don't waste your time downloading.

Gameplay:
There's basically no choice whatsoever in the actions you take. Selecting any but the one that gives a point leads to either an immediate game over, or a delayed abrupt game over toward the end, forcing you to start again.

Even using a walkthrough it required multiple attempts and was a struggle to reach the end (even skipping between choices). There's no point having choices if they aren't choices but merely a way to troll the player. And during one of those game over scenes it displayed an insulting message telling me "Use less ass in your choices. Your choices were ass.", which is funny given I was merely trying to discourage a character from being a struggling camwhore.

The 'minigames' were also annoying, glitchy and added absolutely nothing.

Graphics:
Eliza is attractive but the flat is so empty it looks like it's just been built. Is it really that hard to add a few props to it?!

There are constantly abrupt changes of location and the whole thing just feels rushed and lazy. The MC's underwear bulge is so large and unnatural it looks like he's got another character trying to escape from there.

Randomly included animations and transitions serve only to make progression feel unpredictable where you aren't sure if you should click or wait.

Perhaps this is a first attempt with Ren'Py?

I'll put this in a spoiler tag but it really doesn't have a story and I try avoid details, so feel free to read.

I wasn't expecting this when I started playing this game, it felt really wholesome and great. Good models, fantastic story, wholesome as I already mentioned... it is a bit short (I usually enjoy really lengthy games and this one can be played in a short evening) but the story is complete, makes sense and is realistic enough.

This game made me feel happy, I would definitely recommend it.

Short and fun story. Art is quite good. Because of the short haired main girl, it gets an extra +1 star from me.
It's a fun successfull game but the way story goes is not handled good. By making the game little longer that could've been fixed.

Short but Sweet story. You could finish it within a hour even if you read it slowly. Decent render, not the best but good enough. Only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because I really do not like that 1 mini game for the 2 girls.

Advise to use the walkthrough because the choices are kinda tight.

The MC and main love interest are solid characters. It's a neat, short VN. The ending was nice as well since it wrapped it up perfectly. Of course, since it is short, there is not much content, but I still find the whole story and relationship between the two main characters absolutely satisfying; it's refreshing from the abundant amount of other games that are all about having harems with an over-the-top perverted MC.

The plot is nice. The girls don't seem to be mindless at first. Just the start is a bit too slow while the end is all of a sudden. There should be more content after having sex with either of the lesbians. Maybe some slowly corrupted by sex stuff. Can you impregnate them both? Not bad game though. Love to see more games like this.

In Lewd games it is common to view a lesbian as bisexual, this game does not simply follow that route. It has a proper background and emotional plot but in FEW WORDS.

After recently couple of games' disappointment, this game came me very satisfying.

Simple and effective scenario. Also gameplay is simple but not boring.

Main girl is amazing.

Main theme is well studied on seduce-romance balance thus a satisfied story has appeared.

This game would rather deserve 3.5 stars but since we can't give half points I'll stick to the 3. It's an average to good game.

This is a nice little game which will give about 1.5-2 hours of fun.
It doesn't have superb art, it isn't the most compelling story you'll ever find, and sex scenes are definitely not the hottest (don't expect to find them so irresistible so as not to be able to refraing from jerking off).

However, it was a very nice and honest effort from a modest dev who brought his work to completion. The story evolved nicely, both the MC and Eliza are likable characters and the two girls are steaming hot.

Besides, for such a little game there are a lot of variables and points involved, as well as 3 completely different endings. The dev definitely did a very good job keeping track of all those variables.

What I didn't like:
- Like I say in most of my reviews, animations were those mediocre loops. However, the dev tried to provide some pan shots that are nowadays a common thing in many other games, and all the animations were made by him. Since the dev had proved he could provide nice sexy renders, I believce he should have stuck to still pics. They can be hotter.

Also, I was a bit sad that there was no good ending with Eliza's GF. She's always betrayed no matter what.

Anyway, I recommend this game to anyone wanting to play something fun and short. I think Iceridlah didn't develop any other game after this one, that's such a pity.

Discovered this gem few days ago and finally found the time to play it.

WOW! That's one precious little game I really enjoyed playing.

Nice to experience a completed game between all the unfinished and abandoned games.

The story overall and the characters are believeable and it is a game in which the decisions matter. I recommend to save your game alot, because there is no autosave and giving few wrong answers can end the game pretty quick. There is a good written walktrough guide available, which I used after my frist two "blind" tries, which both ended in a game over. Completing a playtrough without skipping the text can be done in few hours.

This game is short, but very enjoyable. There's only six characters in the game, and two of those are only seen briefly, so the game is very focused. There was a minigame that I found to be a bit frustrating, but that's my only complaint about the game. The writing is solid, the graphics are nice, and there's no grindy filler nonsense. I really like this game. It's got some heart to it.

You play as a man seeking to be the new roommate of a cute bisexual girl, and you are given numerous dialogue choices that will affect your relationship with her and her girlfriend. Most of the choices in the early game are very obvious right and wrong decisions, but things get a little less obvious as the game goes on. It has multiple endings, so you will likely want to play thorugh it more than once to see how things can change.

It's a great game, and it (almost) deserves five stars. The reason why it doesn't get five stars is fairly simple. It stops too soon. The game gets better as time passes in it and the plot progresses, but then it rushes to finish the plot. If the, say latter third or quarter, end of the story would have been stretched out to twice the length, it would work best.

This is of course a conscious decision by the creator, as they wanted to make a shorter game instead of a longer project. It's great that they're more interested in finishing a game than dragging out their projects ad nauseam, like many patreon adult game makers.

Basically, it's short enough story that the pacing issue is actually pretty glaring, so I can't give it full score. But it's hard not to recommend the game to everyone.

Just remember, the sex is pretty vanilla, there's really no special kinks, and the end comes a bit too soon. Just like a pop song that ended one measure sooner than makes sense, and didn't repeat the chorus you loved the second time at all.

I really enjoyed this game! It's short (30 mins - 1 hour, depending on your reading speed) but sweet. You play as a man (you can choose his name thankfully!) who moves in with a woman who claims to be a lesbian and is in a relationship. Without spoiling too much, the game is more romantic than straight up sex and kind of plays like a dating sim because you have to build your trust up with the characters, in order to progress through the story and do sexual things. Speaking of the characters, they are all well written and believable and their renders are great to look at! There are also animations that admittedly aren't all that amazing, but are still nice to look at. Your choices actually matter in this game because you can fail and game over if you don't pick the right options. But, since the game is pretty short, you can easily go back and pick the right options. The choices aren't cryptic or anything either so the game isn't hard or annoying to play. The game is a simple but effective romance story that is enjoyable to play through. And there's a gallery! What's not to like?

This is a really sweet vanilla treat. While very short, this game has a lovely, but still sexy, love story to tell.

Visually, the models look pretty good although the renders are not very sharp. I like that the author put time into making the bodies unique and modeling them off characteristics of real people. Animations were handled by cycling 2 or a few still frames, a practice I typically don't mind. Nevertheless, I found it somewhat more jarring in this game for some reason.

From a gameplay perspective, its difficulty is relatively relaxed (something I wish other VN authors, like the otherwise excellent Tora Productions, would follow). It contains a few minigames which I feel added little or nothing to the game. Ren'py was utilized well and I had no technical complaints.

The writing was quite good. There were some language mistakes, but they were infrequent.

All told, I highly recommend it. I only wish the author had stuck with the single male protagonist POV for his second game as I'd otherwise be happy to patronize and play more from them.

A nice short game about having a roommate. Who has never expected to have a roommate and maybe frirting with? But it's really more complicated when your roommate is a lesbian. The story bring you in this situation. But will you be nice roomate or someone who will abuse of the situation? I love this game, the only bad point is probably a little too short.
