VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - My Teenage Years [v0.1b] [MTY Games]

I know, that some games star well and go down, and i know it cause ive been there giving high ratings and getting dissapointed as updates came. It has happened some times, and some others those projects got delayed for ages. This is one of those candidates. I should give it like 3 stars being fair, cause actual content is 0 for a "porn" VN, s far as of 0.1b is just a novel and only one relationships seems to be building.

So talking about being fair i would say that there are a couple of choices with no effect on the outcome, like the "smokes". Its good to have choices but those empty choices only add unnecessary clics.

Here comes the but, despite being kind of uinfair to others, im gona value the potential so far based on what i can see, which is basically almost everything that i look in a game noticeably above average, renders, writing, the overall feeling of the dialogues, and definetly the navigation, and definetly the menus.

If this goes to shit later, those small annoyances will drag it down, but so ar the rest of the game lifts up the score and those annoyances weight the same as feathers.

I really hope the developer sticks with this game.

There are very few games with the mix of quality and great romantic writing this game showcases.

The quality of the renders is absolute top notch, like someone else mentioned, the attention to detail is amazing. Furthermore, the main LI has a very appealing but mostly realistic look to her.

Furthermore, I think there are very, very few games on this site with as clean and professional of a UI design as this game boasts.

The only real drawback is the lack of audio. Music could add a lot to the mood and atmosphere, hopefully it will be added with time.

The main meal, and the main reason I am giving this game a 10/10, with my fingers crossed the game will keep on the path it is on and become a complete game is of course the writing.

The writing while not necessarily extraordinarily grand or complex, has something very special few games on this site have. It has slow-paced believeable romance.

There are less than a handful of games i've played that have LI with relationship development that feels believable and envoke real emotions. Most of them envoke an emotion of "aww so precious cute steroetype, must protect.". Which I do enjoy, but pulling of a more rounded believable romantic story is way rarer, and something I truly appreciate about this game.

TLDR:
10/10 for now. Really hope the game gets completed some day. Really hope it sticks to it's slow-burn romance format. Really hope it gets audio someday. If you hate romance, this isn't the game for you. If you love it, you should give this a try.

A nice start to Not your typical incest cliche but I do hope there will be twists along the way
The main story gives off as a mystery plot with touch of supernatural which certainly contains the merit to be a really great story in the future
Writing is really good which makes it engaging

Renders are awesome I especially like the background environment and composition so green just love it and like the attention to details

Nice new models but it feels like there is something wrong with the sister's face especially at times of expressions

All in all this VN seems to be on track and has the potential to be a great one
I do hope the dev focuses on the story as it has great potentials

Beautiful renders, likeable characters, and a dev that is focusing on storytelling. While I'm never a huge fan of free roam, it's not terrible in this game so far.

I normally try to stear clear of first releases but this one drew me in. Definitely can't wait to see where it goes!

Well this was a really nice surprice honestly, the game not only looks great but there definitly seems to be an emphasis on story telling and that's the way i like it. No need to rush to get to the sexy times, instead taking time to build the characters and the story. Everything is really well written as well and the dialogue feels natural.

As for the characters, we haven't met any of the possible LI's besides your sister yet (except for the ex-girlfriend briefly and it was stated we would be seeing her again) but Jess is a great first interest, she looks cute and has a likeable personality so good start there too.

Some ppl might be put of when they hear anything sandbox related but as far as i can tell it just seems to be some exploration/navigation related things in certain areas but this game seems mostly story driven to me so it didn't bother me much.

Don't know what else to say, it's all quality stuff even little things like the menu's have had attention put in to them. If there's one thing missing it's probably the lack of any music or sound but that could hopefully be added in later, I get that licencing that stuff can be expensive especially in the beginning.

All in all great start and i wish the dev the best of luck with the game

An excellent first edition. Beginning was captivating and immediately drew me in with a very well written baseline story (although the video game portion was a bit too extended) that continued as the game progressed.

The developing narrative is very mature and appears to have a slow burn style of romance. No sex or nudity so far which is, for me, preferable as I look for a deep and well thought out story.

Characters are very likeable, attractive (well with one exception which is part of the story) and real.

I did receive a false negative with one of my virus protection packages so this may be giving some players technical problems.

I'm facinated with the possible supernatural tilt. Love where this game is going and if the second installment continues to grab me, I'll be happy to support.

i have mixed emotions about this game. I like some of game features, especially the one which helps in free room. However free room mode seems pointless for now and can be bothering, especially if game's enviroment will become richer. There is a lot of room to explore and it could become confusing in future. However, i wouldn't call it as sand-box game!! In version 0.1 is not so hard to keep on track. Some of game tags should be added and better preview image in this thread as well... Renders are not bad in general, but dev could put more into post-process.

You probably wonder what was reason of 4 stars rating. This game caught my attention in this sea of thousands of VN games. Jess is cutiepie and i really wonder how will be relation developed in future. I hope that Developer won't slide into a sex simulator instead of developing relationships with game characters and story telling. Ofc there is still lot of space to improve, but it's still pretty good for build 0.1. Let's see where the game will lead us in upcoming updates.

However It's worth to try it if you are fan of romantic VN which are not mainly focused on fucking all girls around MC.
