VN - Ren'Py - My True Desire [v0.3.1] [DTZ Games]

This review will be based on the 0.3.1 version of the game. My honest thoughts in a short version: "Recommended for people who enjoy real corruption (very slow and realistic) and swinging."
I encourage to try the game and support the creator if you can and want.
*Also, a first game like this that doesn't give the MC a micro dick. THANK GOD. Although the size might be a lil' bit TOO big yo*

Story is 4.5/5

It's straightforward, simple and cute. You are in a relationship with an extremely lovable girl and you have a beautiful relationship. Due to a certain circumstance, you find out that you have a swinging fetish and you're trying to figure out for yourself if you actually are into it or if it's just a phase. The pacing is nice, slow and enjoyable.
Now there are some inconsistencies within the story, for me, there are a few times where the MC and NPCs reacted or acted in a way that might not make sense and goes a tiny bit out of the real pacing of the game, but it's not that much to make you say "Oh this doesn't make sense!" but it still throws me off a lil, probably due to the way I am and how I would react to things.

Characters are 4.5/5

Honestly? Nothing bad to say about them. I enjoyed every single one of them. The girls might be a little TOO open minded for my taste, but again, personal taste. (This does not apply to the MC's girlfriend.. yet)
There are some improvements regarding their personalities that can be made so you clearly know how they will be. The GF's personality is build perfectly in my opinion.

Art is 5/5

I get it. It's AI. The website has been bombarded with low level, AI games without any attention and love poured into them. However, this doesn't apply to "My True Desire". The games visuals are fantastic, characters look amazing, backgrounds and H-scenes are wonderfully done. I also create AI, so I know how hard it is to get THIS level of details and consistency.
Props to DTZ Games.
However, I do not see the point of the moving characters and backgrounds. They don't actually improve anything, and can cause dizziness.
My advice to the creator. Don't bother with this. It really doesn't improve anything. If you want to create something, maybe just add simple breathing movements of the characters and animate the H-scenes. But to each their own!

Top notch art, very well done. Very little for now, due to it being early in development, but still plenty enough to keep you entertained.
I love the scenes between the MC and the GF.

All in all, I absolutely recommend the game, if you want to enjoy a nice story and nice characters. Sadly, it's early in development and there isn't much to it yet. Hopefully we will see a lot of stuff added for a long time to the game. Since the creator said it will follow a more realistic pace, which I am completely down for.
Sometimes, I wish the game would only focus on the love between the MC and the GF, due to pure love they have for each other. Honestly, I wouldn't mind having a "vanilla" experience and exploring kinks only between themselves. But I am not complaining!

• The AI-generated art is really beautiful.
• The lewd scenes are well done—sexy and exciting without feeling rushed. The pacing feels balanced.

• The fact that both the MC and his girlfriend are going through corruption at the same time is a nicely done idea—it adds to the story without feeling forced.

My True Desire is a laid-back, mostly linear Netorase story. Stellar art and fun characters keep the narrative flowing from scenario to scenario. It never once feels like it’s dragging on, or, stuffing you with exposition for the next scene. While tackling a taboo fetish, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. The story doesn’t feel like it needs to define what the MC (Daniel) really wants in plain terms either. My True Desire is taking a road less travelled by letting the characters figure themselves out as the story progresses. No weird front loading for the sake of f95 tags. The characters are the focus here. The interactions between Daniel and Ana are sweet and believable. One of the best portrayals of a loving couple on f95.

The Art is 10/10. It’s Visually distinct from its peers. There is an attention to detail on every character to make them appear on-model and hand-drawn. No wonky AI smiles or dead-eyed stares into the middle distance. The girls look soft and gentle, like they’re made of marshmallows. The style really adds to the light-hearted vibe. As for the Environments… They’re not the best. But where other Devs might have decided to over cook and over-detail the backgrounds to compensate for the AI randomness, the backgrounds in MTD are anything but. They’re simple, to the point, and don’t distract from the gorgeous character art. The correct call it feels. I never question where the characters are, and I never find myself picking out oddities either.

The Animations and Music are the only real negatives, more so they are ‘missed opportunities’. I believe there’s only one animation at the time of review. There is an option to enable a faux 3D effect, but I find it rather nauseating. The music is the standard f95 catalog of bensounds and Free-to-use tracks. Take a drink if you’ve heard ‘em before. You’ll be dead before the 15 min mark. Since these are thankfully things you can disable, No harm no foul. However, more bespoke music and animations are always welcomed.

In conclusion; If you like Netorase, swinging, corruption, and all of the other familiar tags (minus blacked), then this is something to keep your eye on. Simply shut your brain off, don’t worry, and just enjoy the experience.

clearly made with a lot of effort. everything feels well made from the menus to the models. this is what ai games should aspire too, great art but clearly worked on a lot and not just slop. cant wait to see whats next for this game.

this game is great. i feel like a lot of NTR "phone-sim" "gf-sim" games fall into the same traps of being repetitive and boring with a slow and predictable descent into sharing that it kinda feels like the girl's current psyche might as well be represented by a number that goes up after each story event. this game, although very early in its development, genuinely feels like it has a person in each of the characters. FMC is kinda unpredictable and loose, the tension works well because there's a plausable possibility that she might do something while she's drunk, while she;s high on lust, or just for shits and giggles. FMC's best friend, Hellen, is probably the first "best-friend" from games like these that is distinct enough as a character, hot herself, and would definetly do the things she'll eventually do (pushing FMC to corruption, reporting cuck shit just cuz she wants to, wild asf and crazy as hell). and gabi is best girl btw. its really early in the development, but im excited as hell, really hoping the quality maintains as the story progresses, GOOD LUCK

Some guy called PervM4ster24x recommended me this game and I'm glad he did!
The renders are beautiful and one of a kind, it really shows the Dev took his time perfecting this style. Characters are really lovable and humor is really nice.
It's hard to say anything about story as of right now because it's just starting, but writing is really promising.
What stands out the most is how much personality the characters have. It's just simply brilliant. Also the way Dev does his pacing for NTS/Corruption aspects of the game is great, slowly building up is the way to go! Every update gives us something more but never leaves us hanging .
So if you like this kind of slowburn content I'd recommend you play, and most importantly, support! Its only gonna be better and better from now on.

Top 5 games in the genre as of now, you can clearly see the dedication put into the game since you open it, with a very user-friendly UI that dev added in this update.

Now the story, some may say it's cliche, but it's hard to make an unique NTS/Sharing/Swinging story with the huge amount of games of this genre on the market, but what sets this game apart from the rest, is the build-up for that great moment we are all waiting for.

Quite consistent art, with some typical AI inconsistencies in dick size (some will never understand it because they don't even know what Civitai is or how to prompt a simple image).

The teasing is outstanding and the sexual scenes between the MC and his girlfriend are too well accomplished, so much so that, for me, this game has the best BJ scenes compared with the top games of this genre.

Now comes what, for me, is the best thing about the game: The characters. All with a different personality and that is consistent with the character's model (Hellen best girl), all are very cool and with many good vibes that makes you be sure that the development of the story is not going to go any way that damages the main premise of the story: Sharing your girlfriend with everyone.

Another thing that is also very important: Dev is active in the community and listens to the feedback of users who really want to improve the game, such as, for example, the MC's model in the first scenes was very inconsistent, and thanks to the community feedback, now the MC looks much better and you don't see any difference in art every time he appears. The same goes for the rest of the characters, so this is also one of the most important points that makes me give this game its well-deserved 5 stars.

Well im into more of my ntr games but i thought i give this a go i liked the way the girl looked and let's just say im so glad I did this game is so so good the writing is spot on and the art is really nice as well and good animations its also got some good humour in it as well i thought I had this game figured out like oh she's gonna do this or the guy will do that or its gonna go down this road but no the dev really likes to keep you on your toes and thats in a good way if you want a good story driven hot scenes type of game thats keeps you thinking what's gonna happen next then you have to play this game asap you won't regret it.

OMG i cant believe some of the reviews giving it less than 4.5 or 5. Its a slow corruption type game so of course its going to take some time to properly set up the story and the build up has to slow and arousing. This is one of the best game in this genre. And i hate people like [ null vector ] who give good games such a low review due to their own imbecile mind. If you want a quick jerk off why not just watch porn so that you don't have read or understand the story. Since the only thing on their mind is to jerk off and be done with it. Again let me say it this is absolutely amazing. I loved the update. It's a bit on shorter side but the story and build up makes up for it. I wish next updates are a bit more longer. And that is not me saying it as a negative point rather its so good I want to play more of it and can't wait haha I love it.

Yes, it's a classic NTR story. It's far for been the first one and only have one path (by now). It's also true than the storyline is not revolutionary at all.
But:
Female characters are really hot, MC is not a dork with a micropenis who doesn't recognize his wife fucking a guy ecause her eyes are hidden withal q black rectangle or any other shit like that.
He's just giving his first steps into NTS, maybe cuck (still not developed) and wife is not jumping over every man who cross her path, not grampas, not bums and not BBC hitting on her)...
Maybe you can say a nothing brilliant but there's nothing bad either. And going through the story is really enjoyable. Some way felt much better not bumping with anything bad than been excellent in some ways but very bad in others.

I'll be waiting for futures update eagerly.

Review of My True Desire v0.2.2

The good:

- Different AI Art models
- UI is clean and responsive
- There's definitely post processing happening to the renders, which is great. However, I don't know if it's due to the checkpoint the developer is using or the lora's or maybe the lack of lora's that make the characters a bit... dull and features are present where they shouldn't be. For example, the male character is a bit too feminine looking for my personal liking, but I believe the dev is adressing this issue, but my review is based on the current state of the game I'm playing.

The bad:
Based on the reviews this game has received, I was expecting this to be the greatest game of all time within the Netorase Genre, however, it certaintly isn't there (yet).

- There are some music effects that really made it seem a bit too... childish at times.
- The animations (if you can even call them that) are very distracting and nauseating. I had to turn them off immediately. This didn't impact my overal rating, but I would rather see ACTUAL animations rather than this... 2.5D effect.
- The vibe that I got from the game was... lowkey kinda... boring?
I asked myself multiple times through my playthrough, why am I getting sleepy? Is it due to the music being so calming and soothing, or is it due to the very... basic story?

Overall, I think this game has a lot of potential. I definitely think this needs some more time to cook. I hope the dev takes this as constructive criticism and keeps up the pace.

Loving the game so far. The writing gives the player a nice sense of suspense. So far seems to be NTS that is decidedly not soul-crushing. The art is really good and the characters are adorable. Currently the only eroge I'm supporting on patreon.

Art style is more than good enough for me. What sets it apart from many others is the writing. MC and the love interest are somewhat believable, although MC thoughts are shown in screen making this difficult. Love interest actually acts like a love interest caring for MC instead of a placeholder waiting to be whored out - I cannot stress this point enough. I don't find her art superattractive but I do find the character lovable. Which in turn will most likely make the game superhot once the plot goes deeper. NTRing (whatever it means) a slut is nowhere near as hot or real as this is. So - five stars for writing so far. It's not going to be mistaken for John Irvin's work, but in this genre it is completely outstanding.

can't say i enjoyed this one. at least not what is presented so far.

WHAT'S GOOD:

- ana's (the main love interest) character art looks good, she is beautiful. AI is very good at drawing beautiful women.

- the overall style and vibe goes well together, the various art elements are coherent

WHAT'S OKAY:

- the player character's art is very inconsistent, with his outfit changing a lot, bouncing from masculine to feminine, etc.but honestly, i'm pretty forgiving of this, as long as the images are hot (and they are!)

- no music or sound effects really. it's still early so this may improve, so i'm putting this in "okay" for now


WHAT'S BAD:

- there's a lot of very typical AI art mistakes here that should really be refined before release. example: there's a scene where the main character goes to wash his hands, and it cuts to art where the main character is soaking wet from head to toe. this is a really typical AI hallucination, where "washing hands, hands wet" is used as a prompt, and the AI made the whole image dripping with water. a line of dialogue was added to try and make this make sense: "oops i guess i got my whole body wet while washing my hands," which is... odd. it would've been better to generate a better image, or just skip the hand-washing scene anyway, because why do we care to see it at all?

- the writing is sooooooo weird. in the first scene of the game, the main character overhears ana talking to another man... and the game plays a heartbeat sound effect, and the MC's inner monologue is about his vision blurring and almost passing out? because his girl is TALKING to another guy, clothed, and in public? it's just... bizarre. later, ana gets invited to a pool party, and the way the story treats it, it's like she got invited to an orgy. it's a pool party! a very normal thing!

- the main character hasn't even said out loud that he's interested in sharing or... anything! it's just a bunch of scenes of the main character stammering, gulping, and beating around the bush, but never actually committing to anything. this does not bode well for the game respecting the player's time.

FINAL VERDICT:

i don't think the sloppy art and writing are enough to support a slow burn, multi-chapter game. those games only work when the writing is stellar and you really care about the characters involved, but everything so far is too strange to serve as a good foundation. i hope things turn around in future chapters, which i will check out, and amend my review as needed.

As of v0.2, with first two chapters, there is little action. Graphics are very good. Story is promising. Characters are interesting.

It has good use animations despite using AI CG images. Also has good use of sound effects. Use of PNG file format instead of JPG or WEBP increases the game size unnecessarily for little recognizable graphical quality increase.

This will one of the favorite games I will be watching and I hope it doesn't evolve into netorase.

Loving this game so far. The AI art is actually very polished and you can barely tell it's AI generated. MC's girlfriend is hot and her personality is actually very interesting, together with their relationship it's very intriguing to know where things will go. The flow of the story feels natural and doesn't feel boring. There isn't an excessive amount of text too, which is very appreciated. Definitely gonna keep playing the next releases.

A very good game with best flow of story. The art is definitely one of the best. Waiting for more update coming, keep up the work your game is really amazing. The story is developing but I think it's one of the most promising so far.
