Ren'Py - Mythic Manor [v0.22] [Jikei]

A neat and laid back VN that you can navigate and play through at your own pace.
The girls are all pretty cute, each having their own personality and unique appeal to them. For example, I'm not really a fan of the oppai loli archetype, but Fanora's bubbly personality and... "character progression" actually took me by surprise. There's a little something for everyone here, so long as you're not looking for anything too hardcore. That being said, this is a REALLY vanilla game with a feel-good and relatively wholesome atmosphere to it, so if that's what you're into, stop reading this review and download the damn game already.

My favorite game among the others I've played so far. Extremely cute girls with fully animated and butter smooth scenes. Characters are all so lovable, if there was sufficient content, i wouldn't need a wife. So hooked to the music its become nostalgic to me. Game play is easy and extremely rewarding. #feelingblessed Not being a generic overused school theme is a plus. First game ever to pop my patreon cherry.

Nice characters, decent amount of innovation when it comes to cliché stories. Not the best graphics for the environments around you, sure, but it sells the characters pretty darn well non the less.

Really solid in everything that it does, give it a bash.

This game is amazing, you want romance? It has all the romance you want. You want lewds? It can be pretty lewed. You want a dating sim? You can play this as a dating sim for days! You want action? not much of that to be honest, nothing can be perfect i didnt want to lie. BUT DO YOU LIKE HAREMS? this game WAS MADE FOR HAREMS BABYYYYYYY!! it can be super fun, super emotional, it has a few puzzles TONS of characters and its not even finished yet, i cant wait! I recommend downloading this once to see if its your speed and then resit the urge to download it at patches just to enjoy the MASTAHPIECE that this game will be once is finished.

PROS

- The girls. Especially Nefari. Very diverse selection which is unusual for these types of games.

- Animations and Renders especially in later stages of the game.

- Devs dedication to improving the game.

- SFX during sex scenes are a nice touch although they are not in sync with the action but who cares.

- Multiple viewing angles with different "Orgasm" faces for each of the girl's personality is sheer genius. For example; Nefari keeps a sultry smile the entire time you bang her while Federa winces a little and is more animated-no pun intended. THAT'S FANTASTIC ATTENTION TO DETAIL. As soon as I saw Esther smiling the whole time she was getting plowed I knew this game was a winner.



CONS

- Even with cheats there is still an inescapable grind mechanic. There is a leveling system for each girl ranked 1 to 27, 1 being the girl barely knows you and 27 being the girl wants to have your baby. I actually like the ranking system but unfortunately each girl can only increase one level per 'in-game' day. Thus, to max out a girl it takes essentially 27 'in-game' days. WTF!!? Some of the missions can even be done in the same day but are unnecessarily limited to separate days.

- Latter mechanic is a lazy way to try and lengthen the gameplay instead of just tweaking story progression.

- While each character is unique they all fall under the unrealistic premise of wanting to bang you within days. That's fine, every game doesn't have to have a slow burn but I feel the execution on when they start falling for you could have been done with better incentives.

- Dialogue leaves more to be desired although the sex scene dialogue is awesome.

- No Conflict in this game whatsoever so there's no sense of urgency and therefore no realistic elements which to me broke the immersion. The girls are HOT but why is the MC the only person in this universe aware of this apparently. Surely there must be some baddies to save the girls from and reap the sexual rewards of doing so.

-Sandbox element seems tacked on and is poorly done. For instance, the Town map GUI is awesome and easily recognizable due to labels. The Mythic house has no labels and requires you to basically memorize each door. Get rid of this sandbox element and build the game from the ground up with a more VN choice based system and it would be nearly perfect even with the weak plot or lack of conflict.

Where should i start?, this game is completely amazing in so many levels, the writing, the models, the story.

If i have been fallen for the characters you will too this game keep amazing me of every little detail that have like living in a manor, coking, working, etc this game is incredible in his own way, this game so far is one of the best VN games that i ever played.

MM has most of the time good renders with nice animations, only big flaw is the penis entering the vagina. It doesn't, it goes through flesh as if there is a bigger fleshcolored hole. (In such moments I even prefer it like in censored JAV.)

One of the worst renders was Flanora stuck in the window. If she would not be lying on her boobs while stuck, instead better on her stomack, it would have been looked better.

It gets sadly little boring after a while, because you need to find out where the girls are, beside where they work. So lot of searching is necessary. Some kind of appointment book in their rooms would be useful. Maybe a note on the door "Visiting the doctor." Or some kind of bulletin board.

Some keys, passwords or events I could never find out without a walkthrough. Because I have no reason in the game to shower or rest outside on the chairs. Or like meeting Jessa in the Servix Shop and so on. Even worst if it must be on a specific daytime or level of a girl.

More repair events would be nice. There is a skill for it and you don't use it most of the time. Why having a skill at all?

Giving Jade without any plausible reason several 100 bucks is just stupid.

Maybe a main story goal would be nice. Something beside just fucking the manor girls.

If the game would be more helpful to find out how to proceed (not something like maim lains walkthrough!) I would give more stars.

This is one of those games that really really impress me. Dialogue is well written girls are beautiful and they even have some personalities () so far no bullshit drama and every single update is worth playing it's not just some poor excuse like we reworked this one image from a scene that we did 3 years ago and that took us half a year (I am looking at you summertime) so if you consider supporting a creator this one deserves it.

An interesting take on monstergirls in a modern setting with a nice selection of girls to pick out, all with their own bodytypes and personalities. I look forward to seeing where the game goes as it continues to get updates!

Mythic manor is a gem that stands out as an actual good game amongst the sea of shitty ass honeyselect games. The quality of renders is excellent but what amazes me the most are the characters. Every single character is completely unique in apparence, personality and story that im impressed at the fact they were all written by the same person.

Great game, great characters, great renders. All it needs now is to be completed which we might not see in a lifetime due to how ambitious the world size is. Hopefully i am proved wrong.

Has some scenes where the girls pee, not a fan but I can look pass it.
The MC is meh look wise, you don't see him very often but still meh.

TLDR -
Love it, Love all the characters minus Fanora, Love the setting. Great Game.

This game is absolutely fantastic! It plays like a dating sim where you level up each character's relationship level by hanging out with them (seeing their scenes). Scenes have choices in them, but they more often than not just change the dialogue instead of affecting anything, which isn't a bad thing because you can get some really funny dialogue. You also can work to get money, work out at the gym, fish, etc.

In terms of the characters, I really like Honey Select models so I found all of them to be gorgeous. They also have their own unique personalities and I love all of them, so much so that it's hard to pick my favorite! All of the main relationships have a bit of a slow build before getting to the sex, which I didn't mind at all, because I got to know these characters and wanted to romance them. There is lots of character development in here and I want to see even more, particularly for Nefari and Velle, as well as more backstories. Most of the sex scenes are animated and there's an in-game gallery that lets you rewatch everything, which is always a plus.

There are tons of scenes so far: It took me around 15 hours to finish all of the content that is in the game right now (version 0.10.1). The focus so far seems to be for the main cast of characters because the side girls barely have any content and are pretty much just there. There's a bit of a grind to get money early on, but you can plan each game day easily enough to, for example, get some money in the morning and do a scene later on, or get a scene in the morning, work in the afternoon, and get another scene at night.

Anywho, I had a ton of fun with this game and I hope the dev keeps up the great work!

Really liked this game. Mythic Manor presents interesting characters, awesome scenes, great story/events as well as super intuitive UI. I actually picked up Mythic Manor because it reminded me of one the first games I played from F95Zone and it did not disappoint at all. Jikei seems to have the idea right here with focus on a manageable cast size with minor characters on the side to add variety and other kinks!

Straight off the bat, Honey Select. Divisive yes. I love it yes! Beautiful girls here yes!! Hot H-scenes yes!!! One of the things that really put Mythic Manor apart from other games was just how well done the girls are. The main cast features girls of varying shapes and sizes as well as distinctive visuals to tell them apart. There is the imperfection of HS on display sometimes (shininess) but aside from that the models are just gorgeous. The H-scenes are really nice and really engaging and I hope to see more quality like this in the future. One of the highlights of the game. Some of the environments aren’t very appealing but it’s serviceable.

Gameplay feels sandbox-y, play at your own pace and story events occur at your own pace too. Boiling it down to its core, the game is point and click with some dialogue choices which really don’t have a significant impact on future events. Navigation is really easy with the overworld map and the UI super intuitive, simply perfect for a game like this. One of the things I really want to point out is the Character Relationships Screen: it’s perfect, I didn’t even know I wanted something like this in a harem game but now I want it in all my games. It lists all the girls you have a relationship with along with some useful information about them and clicking on each girl reveals hints to advance their story is any can be made. I’ve never played a game with this feature and maybe it’s quite commonplace (I just wanted to praise it).

The storyline for each character is also just as good. Each character comes to live under the same roof for different reasons and as you get to know them better you begin to learn why. Each character has a charm point which instantly grabs you and brings you along for the ride, such as Naira’s meekness, Velle’s assertiveness or Fanora’s cheerfulness. Their appearances combined with their personality really bring the characters to life and you can relate to them to a certain degree. Really amazing story telling.

Easily one of the best you can find here in all aspects.Definitely worth playing.
PROS:
-Long amount of gameplay and you dont get bored even once ! (At least it was like that for me)
-Beautiful and adorable characters that every single of them has unique personalities (I love Fanora and Naira most they re so precious <3)
-Open world gameplay and even more is coming so we can say it ll get even better !
-Hints made the gameplay easier so you wont get stuck somewhere dont worry
-The characters dont suddenly jump onto your lap you gotta earn it but it s not like grinding there s so much fun spending time with them
-You can shape MC to your liking well there s still some content yet to come so it s not that much but yeah your choices can matter
-Great storytelling i dont remember finding a grammar error either !

-Like i said there s still content yet to come so you cant examine every place or spend time with some other characters but being patient is important yeah !
