I'm playing through Nagiyahonpo's new(?) game, Discipline Committee Chair Nadeshiko
->

It doesn't come up on their circle page or their blogs for some reason, but I saw someone recommend it in another thread.
Animations are great but very limited.

Anyways! I got past the first PIN check thanks to my limited knowledge of Japanese numbers god bless.

But now I'm stuck on the second PIN check and mtool's translation for the hint was unreadable.
Apparently it has something to do with the graffiti here. Any ideas?

It is NOT:
535353
353535
225353
222253
223535
222235

No idea what the 4 characters mean - something about boobs according to google camera

Any help would be much appreciated!

For anyone who needs a download link for the game, it's here:

For OP, the red text seems to translate to 'night dew is deadly', or 'night dew death' according to two attempts with Google camera :HideThePain:

The black text to the bottom right is 'go san', or 5, 3, according to my own limited knowledge lol!

I'll try and see if death links to any 4-digit numbers...?

EDIT: I've found an academic paper about Japanese number puns. Maybe this will have something useful:

EDIT 2: I think it'll be something like a pun on the phrase 'night dew is deadly' etc. This table could help:

Night dew seems to translate to 'yotsuyu', which separated into its syllables could be 'yo/4', 'tsu/2', and whatever yu would translate to. I could be translating it entirely incorrectly, of course - I think yotsuyu is a very specific word, similar to komorebi, but I'm not sure how exactly to translate the death part.

EDIT 3: Some further complexity; "there are two separate words for numerals, with the native Japanese and Sino-Japanese words for 7 being nana and shichi, respectively. Different words are used for different contexts, and kango is normally used when you count in Japanese. Despite this, however, when Japanese people pronounce 7, nana is almost always used. The problem lies in the fact that Japanese people don't actually like the word shichi, as it sounds too similar to shi, the Sino-Japanese word for 4, which is (thus 4 similarly also uses the native Japanese yon in counting). Being a superstitious people, the Japanese really, really hate invoking death every time they count — and the fact that shichi sounds almost like the Sino-Japanese word for 1, ichi, doesn't help. "

Couldnt get it to work even after switching locale, installing language pack and setting up japanese language for non unicode.
Gonna watch thread for updates, hopefully someone makes a fix.

can some one just put it up on megaup so i dont get a virus
use an adblocker like Ublock Origin or something decently reliable then when you go to Otomi
and click the download button:

then click PixelDrain (I've used it for a few years now and I have had no viruses besides 2 that were not the fault of PixelDrain but was inside the file, also from what I have scanned there is no virus in this game, nor it's folders)
Screenshot 2024-05-18 195648.png
then click le GO GO GO button (I know crazy)
Screenshot 2024-05-18 195813.png
and then laboomba click the green download button (you should know the rest)

now im mussing a audio

i have this to cant fix it
So when you first extract with WinRAR you'll open the folder, once inside the folder you will have to right click the other folder inside and open it with WinRAR. Than just do the same steps until the folder name is in Japanese. That's what I did and it started working for me.

Hi, could you explain it to a noob? I installed JPN language on my laptop but I keep having the audio error too and the folder name is just a bunch of gibberish symbols, so I extracted the folder that just says GAME. I don't know what else to do.

Ok the language on the laptop does not matter. If you download it off Otomi games, than its just extract that folder with the steps WinRAR > Option > Name Encoding > Japanese > Save & Extract. Than you open that folder and you will see another inside named "RJ01113121". Open that folder with the same steps of WinRAR > Option > Name Encoding > Japanese > Save & Extract. Inside you will same another folder in Japanese (Btw you can just right click the folder to be given the prompt to open it in WinRAR).

Thanks it works now.

And I have a bunch of option at the start that I don't understand XD are you guys using some sort of auto-translation or are just brute forcing (That was my plan since how hard could be?) I know nothing about translation or machine or whatever, I just download and play very simplistic mindset.
