VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Navigating The Rift [v0.5] [TrippyDippity]

For a first game by the dev, this is a job well down, and I applaud them for the effort they've put in and the product (unfinished as it is), we've gotten.

For the positive aspects of this game, I find the renders and FMC extremely attractive, and the animations are all well done and smooth. Bonus points for a darker skinned FMC and the video-camera means we see the scenes, both which add a more unique flavor to the game as these are things you don't see commonly, and make this game feel somewhat refreshing. I have confidence this dev has a promising future in the porn game space.

For the negatives on this game, I'll sum it up like this: This feels like a trainer game. If you've played trainer games before, you'll understand what I mean. This games core gameplay loop is doing the same thing for multiple days in a row, seeing the same scene multiple days in a row, in order to progress corruption and see more. Though of course, this is through a NTR lens.

And while there are certainly good trainer games out there, I think this is one of the examples of why some trainer games can get a bit tiring. It's all very repetitive, and I find myself skipping through days because I'm quite literally just being shoveled the same content multiple times in a row.

It's also very shallow, as we're given barely any time to get to know the MC, FMC, or even the villain before we get to the corruption. This gives it a feel of low investment for the player, as other then her being the "girlfriend", we never really get that definite sense of love and connection through build-up. This could've been assuaged if the calls we can make to her or the conversations in the morning actually changed everyday, rather then the same exact convo multiple times in a row, but it is what it is.

Overall, I'd say this is a good game to turn your brain off and enjoy the pretty scenes, but nothing mind-blowing overall. If you're a fan of shallow trainers, you'll enjoy this one.

The NTR is well done with a buildup to it. Docked a star because the mechanic of seeing what they're up to reveals too much IMO. The models are well made but not super detailed. Wish there were some more unique events that happened and that there was a bit more player agency. Maybe build up the ability to surveil what's happening with a gameplay mechanic based on how much work happened each cycle.

Really enjoyed it and looking forward to more.

The FMC model is really good and I like the system to see scenes, very cool that you have to load up the camera view yourself.

I like how the scenes are shown in this, I feel it's a bit more unique. The only reasons why I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because 1: the repetition aspect doesn't add any variation to it, so it's largely a hold the skip button sequence to get to the next bit, and 2: it's using mind altering effects to achieve the NTR scenes which I find to be a bit of a cop out approach for NTR but that's a matter of personal taste. I enjoy NTR regardless, it's just some approaches aren't AS enjoyable.

I hope to see some scenes happen in front of the MC but hidden out of his sight. I've always loved the secrecy aspects of NTR. The more dangerous it is, the hotter.

For his first game, very well done. The renders are very good, I think the animations via Cam are a brilliant idea that can be seen from the girlfriend's point of view. There are still a few errors, but they are forgivable for the first release. Is an NTR game and only suitable for NTR fans.

Okay, I really must say that this game has a lot of potential and is certainly a breath of fresh air for the NTR genre, which has been a bit weak lately. The story is good, FMC is extremely hot, her corruption works in a similar way to Asuna's corruption in FOG from the NTR game from SWORD ART ONLINE. Apparently it is the author's first work, and it is still very good, there are still several bugs to be fixed and more things added so that it could increase immersion, such as the call to Ashley being a video call and in this video call we could have hidden elements NTR, and maybe by sounds in the animations if possible, and we definitely need more hidden NTR scenes or something like that in the MC's view, since most of the things that happen are seen only by the player (by mechanisms like the camera and so on). ) so it would also be interesting to have more scenes of the MC almost catching Ashley in the act or something like that on hidden NTR, but especially a video call would be very excellent. Furthermore, I think it's a good idea to reduce the game's Loop, at most once, I think this would be very healthy for the game.

The progression is enjoyable. Good enough for my enjoyment. We'll see how dev manages to keep the game relevant after sex scene happens, most unexperienced writers failed after that part. But I've faith

Putting aside the content (which I very much enjoyed), the thing I appreciate most about this title is the QOL/accessibility.

This Dev sets the standard of what should be expected in a new release and knowing that this is their first effort must be commended.

For a first game this is excellent and I hope that my review does more to encourage the Dev than discourage him.

The premise of the story is standard and the arc of corruption works well within that premise. It could be set in a mountain cabin after an avalanche, a tropical island after shipwreck, or a haunted castle on a dark and dreary night, ala, Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The graphics are also pretty standard but one of my favorite models is used for Ashley so, kudos for that. There are a limited number of sex scenes, (not snippets, but full on scenes) but they are nicely done. Facial expressions, as they're provided, are spot on.

Charlie's plan is a good one and well carried out. I like that the MC is used primarily as a vehicle for continuity in the story. His role is to help us through the repetitious mini-grind that provides the impression of the passage of time in addition to the preliminary cuckolding effect. That's all fine and dandy.

My issue is with how the scenes are used to tell the story. We often see advances in the corruption through snippets and have to wait for the passage of time when the activity has become more of a routine for Charlie and Ashley. this is WAY wrong.

The power of a story like this rests in the heat-of-the-moment internal conflict and the degradation and ultimate submission of the trainee as she struggles with her moral obligations and her growing, drug-induced lustful responses to the antagonist's unforgiving demands. WE NEED TO SEE THAT.

I want to be in Ashley's head as she wrestles with what's happening, as it happens. That's the beauty of this stuff that's missing here. We need to see the initial gropes and grinds played out as they happen, not in a small, split-second image that flashes across our screen. We need to see Ashley's emotions erupting on her face as Charlie's hands roam her body, driving waves of both of guilt and lust surging through her.

Play these scenes out for us FIRST, then give us the snippets as a reminder of where they've been, not as a preview of what's to come. Let us experience that moment with them instead of seeing them do it after the second or third time.

Each advance should provide an initial scene for the viewer, showing how it unfolds and the emotional surge felt by both Ashley and Charlie as they experience the sensations involved both physical and emotional.

Engage your audience in the moment with your characters and this will more of a memorable experience for us.

I'm willing to up my rating, but not until I feel more involved in the moment and less like an after-thought.

Can't believe it's your first game dude, amazing animations and scenes, something new and wanted to se more, wanted to support as soon I reach the current game version, hope you can complete this game!.

One of the best NTR games on F95 without a doubt. The game has much content for a first release, has great renders, and interesting and believeable story. I, dear developer, wish you good luck on your journey to deliver us NTR fans a masterpiece we have been waiting for far too long.

The Dev pretty much has started with a BANG he has acquired the eyes of many NTR fans who are growing tired of the forever teasing, devs milking their subscribers, buggy updates and same story being played out without any new imaginative settings.

It's a simple game with so far 3 main characters. A very easy backstory to understand, amazing animations, a slow but yet very paced corruption.

I usually hate the involvement of any drugs, hypnotism or blackmail in any Ntr story but the developer found a way to use this in way where the FMC still keeps her sanity and it's just a tool used to increase her needs.

Overall I'm looking forward to this Dev future in the NTR genre

great game, he's good. much better than 1000s of developer. and story is great. content is quite alot. and most of all the case is NTR done right. game is short and sweet gonna help dev financially. and he game so much without any milking.

Excellent game! This is what the initial release of a game should be. The scope is limited, and the mechanics in the game are are executed excellently. The pacing on the corruption is good, and the story makes sense.

If I have one complaint, its the reuse of scenes between key events to pad thing out. Hopefully the dev addresses that in the future.

Wow, what a great first release. The first release provides a lot of game content, with very different gameplay and great renders and animation.

Haven't even finished the first update and it is already a five out of five for me, so crazy rare to see a debut release being this full featured. And the netorare corruption is on point, will be subbing on Patreon immediately, can't wait to see what else this dev can make.

The game is terrifyingly mesmerizing, without a doubt one of the contenders of NTR game of 2024 and it isnt even finished. The scenes are well thought out and obscurely lewd; although, would be nice to see new animations for the gf tracker as it can get repetitive. However, for the first run I would advise not to use it the gf tracker as currently the game isn't that long.
The english language is easy to understand and the language brings about a sense of confined environment that clearly adds to the degradation of the MC. Each progressive step into the story adds a hopeful loop into the idea of accomplishing a problem and solving the dilema of the protagnistic. Yet for every step forward it seems you are taken 2 steps back. Precicly what the NTR genre is missing these days as the niche becomes more mainstream. This game is going for a precise audience and the game design is masochisticly out of this world for that audience.

Unforunate the game is still not finished however, the layout of the VN is a game changer and definitely replayable if one holds back on using the tracker.
All in all this one is a MUST for NTR connoisseurs as well as a shoutout to the developer for bringing about a solar ray of hope to the genre out of empty void of shit ntr games.

Pretty good honestly. The model of the girlfriend is pretty unique-looking and I pick up some Middle Easter/South Asian vibes from her, which makes her extra hot. The corruption is not too fast or not too slow. The in-game advancement of time makes the corruption more believable. Top notch renders and animation. Perfect fap material if you're into ntr.

Just when I was running out of faith in NTR games...

PROS

* Does not waste rendering time on sex scenes between the MC and the girlfriend. Instead they're able to convincingly establish that they have a loving relationship through dialogue.

* The dev knows what they want their game to be and fully commits to it. There's nothing more disheartening as an NTR fan than seeing a Harem tag in there as well because you know it's just going to slow the development down because there's multiple branches that need to be followed. The fact that there's only one route is very commendable and appreciated in an NTR game.

* There's believable reasons why the game plays out the way that it does. The dev does a great job of establishing why there would only be one route for the mc throughout the story. I feel like the odds of the cheating occurring organically would still be high just based on the nature of the dynamic between the three characters... it would just be a much slower burn without all of the drugging shit that the antagonist does.

* The stat-system. By definition netorare is cheating, in which the person being cheated on is unaware. A lot of games, particularly RPGmaker games, rely on shadows or sounds to provide titillation. Here we can not only see what's going on by way of live cams (that only we as the players can see) but we see live updates of what exactly is happening. It's the best of all worlds; the MC is aloof but we as players can see exactly what's happening.

* The character models. The GF's tits are about as big as they can be without bordering on ridiculous. The antagonist has a big dick but not stupidly so.

* The animations. For a first time dev, the animations look great. No notes.

NEUTRAL / SUBJECTIVE

* Typically I hate blackmail or brainwashing in NTR games but I don't mind it (the latter) here. Bear in mind that I think this game could've played out roughly the same way without it, but I get why it's in. It's not so much about the GF and the antagonist becoming close to her, but also driving a wedge between the couple.

CONS

* For every new level of "corruption" scenes repeat. It's about three repetitive scenes per level (or sexual act). It absolutely takes you out of the story because the dialogue pertains to an initial surprise or reaction so when that's repeated over multiple days it makes zero sense. I'd like to see that cleaned up. It's not so much the "grind" but more so that it takes you out of the story.

SUMMARY

A breath of fresh air in the NTR genre. It is exceedingly rare to find a Western dev who is committed to just making an NTR game without feeling the need to add unnecessary branches just to not alienate people. I'm excited for the future and look forward to future releases.

This was pretty awesome! unique way of showing things in a believable way. She looks great and the progression feels right. Even the stuff that repeats can be gone through quickly to get to the next step.
