Don't sell it.
Patreon and other services like buymeacoffee is not considered selling.
They are tipping like in a restaurant.
You are just putting your game online for free, not selling it in shops on a blu-ray :D
So don't worry, you should be fine.

Like the commenter above me, but be careful that if there's a big amount of money going into your bank account every month, bank and tax officers will take notice of that, and you will have to explain the money's origin.

That is, if your game grows big enough, which is the goal, right?

Otherwise you can just keep the money in paypal or whatever platform you choose, and use it from there.

You might also want to read this thread. It's mainly about how overwhelming/challenging the work on games can be, especially for newbies. Several users share their experiences in that regard.

Those aren't considered selling, but if a company/goverment/whatever wants to use those as arguments to bring a game down, they have more than enough resources to do it.

To the OP, don't do it.

Selling a game that is illegal in your country is worse than pirating an illegal game of a same type, period. I'd advise not to do it, the risk is far too high, no matter how many folk may be desperate for it money-wise. Some people on some porn game a while ago made a scene on Steam by doing it anyway, and pleading to users to support their "no" to that law, while selling it on the storefront - while it's still there from my memory, I doubt anyone can do this non-stop. And trying to make a game without having a proper plan is just asking for a disaster, especially around an illegal product.

I don't know in which country you live exactly, but there are some with very strict rules and others where you can appeal to certain "traps" in the laws that can play in your favor.
I would love to tell you yes or no, but I think that if there are legal aspects involved, you should get advice first.

Thank you so much guys for all the advice.
Yes there are certain tricks that save me form that, like registering the game company elsewhere where the pronography is legal. But it will require good amount of money.
So in conclusion I think I will postpone it to the time where I have enough money to register my self anywhere else.
Once again thank you for you advices it really helped a lot.

I think as long as you don't get caught you'll be fine . Unless you are making a SIGNIFICANT amount of money, I don't think anyone will care much, especially the banks. With online stuff like that you can write it off as online freelancing or software development, no one really bothers looking into it too deep. Set up like a freelancer or fiverr just in case. 9 times out of 10 they won't ask more. If you use paypal or payoneer keep most of your money in there with only small withdrawals.

Now if you're especially paranoid, then don't do it. But from a practical point of view I know some creators who work from theocratic third-world countries where its VERY illegal, but no one really bats an eye.
