opened the game files and just got curious how it would react. now im stuck without the game. tried downloading it again but the file types stayed the same. also saved the selected files with .blank but that didnt work.
Make sure the file extension is '.exe' on windows.
Some things for you to try if the extension is correct:
-"right click>open with..." run the program with something other than this gom player.
-Change default programs

-If none of those work, just uninstall this gom player.
In this case the changed icon means that gom player has been set as the default application for opening files with this extension.
As anne O'nymous already mentioned, file extensions don't get changed just like that, all that has (most likley (because never say never)) changed is how it is presented to you, the user.
