Seeking Need help finding [少女魔法学園] Shoujo Mahou Gakuen

Hello, recently i learned about a questionably SFW fighting game developed for the PC-98, the game is called shoujo mahou gakuen, it was developed by Thinker Bell long ago, but after turning professional they've been trying to get rid of this game ever since, every download link i've found is dead andThinker Bell has scrubbed archives such as the Wayback Machine.
A handful of people seem to have gotten the game last year through download links and MEGA, so it isn't quite lost, just hard to share i guess.
Does anyone know wherei can find this game? Or point me thowards the right direction? Thank you for your time!

Thanks man, If I happen to stumble onto it I'll be glad to share it as well. It must be out there, several physical copies have popped up in Japanese sites and some FGC/speedrunners have streamed it not too long ago

all i can find is the dlsite code which is no longer active on dlsite: RJ007840

some posts on anime-sharing and akiba-online, but the download links are old and dead.

I learned about about Tinkle Bell's early works today (browsing through wayback) from their very first fighting game and eroge and after some hours discovered this! It seems it was made as part of pcgiga's 2003 compilation and contains a hundred doujin/indie titles in it!

I came to this thread at the very beginning of the year when I found footage of this game on youtube. I remember doing research for hours that night because the fact that I couldn't find it made me all the more curious about it. Now its nearing the end of the year and I return to the same thread to find that you linked it a week or two after I gave up lol. Very cool find!

AH I JUST NOTICED YOUR POST after all these months, sorry...
BMP not found you say? Hmm I'm not sure but all I can guess is it's probably because the game uses japanese words and probably couldn't load properly because of it!
That or it's incompatible with modern OS, who knows.


Try running the game in japanese with Locale Emulator or AppLocale, also make sure they're no missing files or such too if it came with it! Hope this helps (even if it's been months...).

Also your situation is interesting...this is offtopic but I was searching for an very obscure, nearly impossible to find R18 game's omake (Bonus) for months to no avail...only to find out that one of the files I downloaded back in January actually was the omake I was looking for! I can't believe I had it the whole time and it' because I thought it was a demo of a R18 game I already had haha

Ello! Ah this game, I see you're having an issue running it...

I decided to download and install the game to investigate the issue myself!
First thing I should note is that since I'm running Windows 10, when I ran the installer it gave me an error and crashed. I simply fixed the error by turning on compatibility mode and setting it to "Windows 8" and it installed!

Just saying this incase anyone had trouble with that part.

Now as for the issue you faced, I discovered the same problem you had when trying to play the game! When clicking start as you said after loading the game up past the launcher, the game window freezes, windows pop up the "少女魔法学園.exe has stopped responding" and crashes.

So after a little bit of checking the compatibility for the game, I found the solution and got the game up and running!
Best of all is that it doesn't need to be run in any windows compatibility, it just needs to be run as administrator as seen in the image below:



Please note that this is for the game itself, not the game launcher that you run on your desktop or start menu. You can right-click on the desktop icon of the game launcher "少女魔法学園", open "open file location" and you should find the game named "少女魔法学園.exe" in it:

Thank you for your reminder! The system I'm using is win 11 CN, and I successfully got "少女魔法学園.exe" to run by changing its compatibility to win 98, but there was no BGM. I also tried it in a virtual system with win 10 JP, and it ran successfully with BGM! It really took me a long time to get this game running. After playing, I found the skill release quite difficult; some skills felt like I couldn't even press the keys anymore, but the art is truly amazing! I am really looking forward to TinkleBell's next work"太陽のオルゴオル"

Well at least it ran well in a Windows 10 Virtual Machine heh!
The skills release may indeed be difficult, I guess TinkleBell didn't go all out with the balancing and such in the game since it's one of their early first releases heh. That and it's made in 2D Fighter Maker 95 too.

You know...playing a bit of this game brought back some fond memories of me playing M.U.G.E.N which I loved a ton to play with haha. I was addicted to this custom made character called Dark Arcueid that was made by a Japanese Mugen character maker! Believe it or not I still have the files for the character too backed up on my Microsoft hotmail as well.

It was around 2006 I believe when I got into MUGEN is when I discovered the game series Melty Blood and thanks to Dark Arcueid who's a custom, technically broken (in terms of being over-powered), edit of Red Arcueid who's from Tsukihime/Melty Blood! I discovered and got addicted to Melty Blood Re:Act which was English Fan-Translated (as Melty Blood wasn't officially release overseas until later).

I'll never forget this cute now famously memable nekogirl:


Speaking of Tsukihime...it offically came out in English this year overseas which is great!
Anyways happy to help ya and YES I'm excited for Tinkle Bell's next release too, gonna be great and hot!

The fighting game that left the deepest impression on me is also a spin-off from typemoon called "Fate/unlimited codes" I discovered it after watching FSN（by the way, my favorite is Tohsaka Rin）,the skill effects are really true to the animation,at that time, I thought it was the best game in the world（lol）.I haven't played Tsukihime yet, but Arcueid is very popular in China,I will play it in the future.
