Yeah that's why your/your team experience is a part of the equation in choosing the right tool for the job.

My bad cause I got the image of you compltelty wrong. When I read " I will not just learn Twee to create 1 project, unlike Js , which it can be used for many different types of projects. " and "as I will not be making a living from porn games" I assumed you're a wannabe SE.

Personally I think that if you're already quite proficient in python then javascript won't give you new ways to make your life easier. The only thing I can think of right now is to make your own portfolio website if you don't have one right now. Pretty sure it's gonna be rare in accounting. If you want to impress HR and employers check out three.js.

ya you are right i may have framed it wrong i just didn't want to say what i replied to you with in that comment... I know that python is the most useful language for my type of work, but as I mentioned before I get this enjoyment from coding, who knows maybe me learning Js could spark something me that makes me think about some type of app or software that can make me leave my job and do it commercially.....

as for the portfolio, the scripts I am building for work are nothing too serious for me to make a portfolio, at the moment at least, as we deal with a lot of data coming from our ERP system into spreadsheets, that combined with some basic python scripts like taking a vendor name column, looking for unique names, then proceed with creating a folder for each vendor in a certain directory , this is just an example I had to do it as we were doing an ICV audit in my country which requires providing data per vendor and each vendor needed its own folder as instructed by the auditor....without python this would have taken 2 full days, just creating the folders for around 200 vendors xD again nothing too complex, just trying to utilize whatever libraries that make my tasks easier .... but thanks for suggesting the portfolio, ill think about it.

i woudn't call it shallow, just having a different perspective.

he doesn't want focus on a specific framework because he wants a broader scope.
with js, you can do web, desktop games, mobile apps, or anything really.
since it's a hobby, having a language that can do alot of stuff, it lets you make things even on a whim regardless of that it is.
