Not receiving the required message from Elise during the beach sunscreen scene. Did in the previous version. Can't progress sadly :(

Wow, this is an amazing game. Someone else mentioned it, but the combination of the mystery+buildup for stuff like the beach scene is legendary work. That was a crazy good gutpunch scene that I haven't experienced in years since I'm usually immune to most NTR nowadays. If this level of quality continues until the game is completed, I can see it becoming legitimately one of the best NTR games I've ever played, up there with the likes of the best NTR JP games like Leane 2.

I'll probably write a full review later, but I'd also like to give big props to the dev for sticking to his guns and focusing on two primary routes. A lot of other games fall into the trap where they have too many branching routes, so while it's as wide as the ocean, they're as deep as a puddle. Another common issue is that the girl instantly gets corrupted within the first 5 minutes of it before building any emotional connecting to her. This game avoids both those pitfalls.

I only have two real concerns so far. First, a minor worry is that the dev said he's been working on the story for months already. I'm guessing once the game's caught up to what he's written in advance, the size of each update will slow down considerably which is a bit disappointing but understandable considering the alternative is just pushing out large sloppy stories which would be even more disappointing. Or hopefully, the dev's a machine that can churn out 20k words of good quality story a month like the A Promise Best Left Unkept dev.

My real concern is the engine itself. Now this may be an unfounded worry depending on how familiar the dev is with development in general, but considering there have already been a decent amount of bugs that have had to be patched, I'm worried the engine will make it hard for the dev to manage since I find Godot less powerful than something like Unity. Especially considering DTF was made in Godot just like this game, and while it was fine at the start, it became such a buggy mess that people are ragging on it in this very thread. I'm worried this game will eventually reach a similar point where it'll become way too buggy to be sustainable long-term. Plus as I previously mentioned, since Unity is more powerful, it'd be easier to add features like a scaling option that removes the black bars. For example, NTR Mobile is built in Unity and while I didn't like the story at all, I can tell it's built on a solid base with nice QOL features and fast loading times.

I can speak from personal experience that trying to develop on a spaghetti base has caused me so many nightmares. If there's ever a time to genuinely consider switching engines, it'd be now, early on before it's too late, and before you fall for the sunken cost fallacy.

Of course, if the dev is confident in his skills with Godot/managing large projects or is just not comfortable with Unity at all, I'll give him my full support regardless since I hope for nothing but the best for this game.

Woaahhhh thanks for the detailed revi-- wait this isn't the full review??

Days 1-19 were done before the game released publicly and days 20 to 24 (including the beach scene everyone loves) were completely spontaneously written with 0 planning over the last month :p

As for the bugs.. these aren't related to the Godot engine itself - they're from the dialogue manager plugin I use to manage chat timelines etc. There've been relatively few bugs, that only affect a small number of people (primarily timing issues where 1 thing happens milliseconds before another and causes for example the timeline to skip events) - I've been squashing these by modifying the plugin code itself to improve flag tracking, optimizing the timeline load times and a lot of random bug fixes (i.e. multiple-choice events getting stuck). The one thing I don't think I can ever fix is the UI scaling - even something like Roblox has far superior UI design tools than what's available in Godot which kinda sucks but it would be a monumental effort to port over to Unity for gains that just wouldn't be worth it for me. But basically, it's not going to get buggier over time other than the code I write with the OnlyFyans app and stuff.

Unfortunately I'm not a story writer - just a neko-addicted caffeine addict programmer with a decent enough PC to run Stable Diffusion - but I'll do my best!!!

Is this v0.0.6 or v0.0.6b? And could you message me your save file (Settings > Export Save File)?

Full save I think. Extract to > Appdata > Roaming > Godot > app_userdata > NekoNTR
Thank you very much for this, I have used it and it doesn't unlock the gallery though. I was up to this part and was missing a few CG and just wanted to update and now I am missing everything haha

I hope Vanilla shows how much she loves the MC as the game progresses. This way, future scenarios will be better, NTR-y scenes will feel more NTR-y, and NTS scenes will feel more NTS-y.
I agree that this would be nice. Not sure how possible it is for that to happen now at this point in the game since she's beginning to neglect him for her friends, but I could see something like Vanilla feeling guilty about what she did. That leads to her ghosting the other guys and stopping her OF, and then she lovebombs the MC for a long time. Then maybe something like she realizes the MC can't really satisfy her, so she finally betrays him again after a long period of trying to be loyal to the MC and lovebombing him. It's the classic NTR trope, but I find it can work pretty well when executed properly. Really curious to see what the dev cooks up regardless though.

It always comes down to execution, since there are only so many different ways an NTR plot could go. So far this dev has done a great job, so I have hope that this game will keep having the same quality, or even better.

I think I'm having a similar problem, fresh install of 6b and i get the notifications for the DMs but if i go into any of Vanilla's messages there's nothing there but date stamps. Elise did end up unlocking and I could pull up that message though. I just keep seeing the new DM alerts and the new dates in the DMs but nada. Otherwise I'm hooked, honestly prolly the best phone game i've played, assuming the broke stuff was working.

Thanks - looks like there's only a slot 1 on day 3? Might need to save and then re-export
