I agree with you on almost everything.
But I will add a new concept.
The girl will not leave her useless boyfriend but will shift her love and desire interest to a more attractive partner.
If we draw parallels with the game, then Nathan is the most suitable candidate - he shares her interests , physically and emotionally attractive to Laura, the girl's besties approve of him - as a result, she will spend more time with him and his interests and desires will become a higher priority for her than the interests of the ms.
As a result, over time, the ms is simply a fifth wheel or just falls into the category of ordinary Lauras bulls.

I am not sure you understand the kink and are letting hentai tropes seeping in. Submissive or not, it is still a consensual sexual play. Submissiveness is about surrendering control and the sense of degradation is still within the consensual and trusting dynamic of the relationship. It wouldn't work without the trust, because then it just becomes cheating and abusive.
Laura moving her love and focus to someone else, leaving her partner as a fifth wheel, has nothing to do with being consensual or trusting.

On the Stag branch, not sure about the others, Laura constantly says how much she loves him as they explore their kink and wants to spend nights with him just them at time. The "useless boyfriend" is more your interpretation not the norm in the game.

Last year I paid Stag 60+ dollars on Patreon.
Don't give a shit about money spent, he deserves a little support, once per month to buy him a coffee is not a problem for me.
BUT.
For 60 dollars you can buy any top-10 best PC games, like Baldur's Gate for example.
96 Metascore, 100 million dollars spent in development, same 60 dollars on Steam.
So.
Is the product worth my money?
Absolutely not. Because, I am not paying for the product. And as I said, don't give a shit about money at all.

I don't like community Stag created on Patreon/Discord. When everybody only cherish-all-day-long and any critic - go-fuck-yourself, it's not my alley. But I am still a supporter and I can comment as a paying customer - that is really funny to watch a poll delay-or-not-delay
