Update on how Netoria 2 is going for people on here.
Overall it's going very well. I'm currently working on the first three chapters as a chunk trying to get the story, characterization, and mechanics right. Overall I'd say everything is still on pace for the January release I estimated before.

Any 100%/end game save?
Full save pls
Page 47, remember to run the game first to a save point before using the save, the folder doesn't generate until then.

The Rabbit unlocks all scenes, the Frog sends you to a sandbox mode for groping scenes. That sandbox takes a lot of setup to get anything to show, I understand why but it's still awkward.

IMO, when first loading the save, talk to the Frog in the gallery first, enter the sandbox, then move your character back to the Frog in the sandbox and say 'yes' to sent back. You will re-enter the gallery, but this time your character has the same limitless movement from the sandbox. At that point, talk to the Rabbit to unlock everything. Makes traversing the gallery a lot easier, because it uses the same movement system as the main game. Clunky, but it works.

This game really surprised me. I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy an SRPG game, but once I got used to the gameplay it flowed well.

The hidden NTR and in-combat groping was excellent. I played without the Gwen perspective enabled, so I got to see the obscured scenes instead. A lot of hidden or mystery NTR games will opt to simply hide scenes altogether if the protagonist isn't present. I was happy with the compromise this game took, obscuring and fragmenting rather than eschewing.

The biggest downside to this game is replayability - it's just a pain. Normal was perfect for a first run. For my second I chose easy, which was indeed easier but still felt tedious and time consuming. Trying to get specific endings like this still takes some effort. Supposedly Story difficulty removes all combat sections entirely, but you'll miss out on in-combat scenes and dancer class. A lot of the charm is in those, so I think it's a bit of a waste.

All in all, very good game. Fun, erotic, lots to see. I'm patiently looking forward to the sequel.

I agree the replayability is pretty bad. It's supposed to be more of a game that has lots of possible outcomes to support the NTR, not one you play over and over to see them all. There's more punch to Carwyn losing Gwen if him keeping her is a possibility.
The sequel I'm working on is designed to be much more replayable.

Oh I completely agree; in my opinion erotic games live and breathe on the contrast. Especially games with NTR. Being able to lose is what makes winning worthwhile, and inversely being able to win is what gives a loss real bite.

Still, after taking it slow and thoroughly enjoying my first blind playthrough, I couldn't help but want to explore more of your game. The sequel having smoother replayability is welcome news.

For Netoria 2 I'm doing shadow illustrations for the hidden scenes instead of the darkened versions of the first game. I can't figure out how to represent the dialogue though. The obscured text thing is kind of wonky. But just straight up displaying all the text doesn't make that much sense either.

It's not exactly elegant but couldn't you just do something like the normal text but with strikethrough or something, just to differentiate it, make it "difficult" but still perfectly readable by the player, make it seem like the character is having to strain their ears a bit.

Perhaps italicised, maybe a different text colour with lower contrast to make it look less legible but still readable.

Honestly i don't know a good method without using a reduced sized speech bubble like a comic would.

Don't know if you ever played a game called "Summer Sweepers", but it had a strong voyeur theme and also played around with obscuring text for peeping scenes.

In the early versions of development it used unreadable cursive-looking squiggly lines for the bits of dialogue the player wasn't meant to read when peeping and would throw in a few random readable words here and there to tease the player's imagination. The trick is that there wasn't any actual dialogue, the choice of displayed words was purely designed to tease the player and not parts of any actual written sentence.

In the final version of the game it had actual dialogue for the peeping scenes, so what they did instead was "blot out" parts of the dialogue's display window, cutting out random bits of the sentence and displaying certain words only partially. I think visually it looked good but it made the displayed bits of dialogue less "designed to tease".

Visually I find both options pretty stylish if you prefer the player to not be able to actually read the text. If you want it to be readable but difficult them playing around with font-sizes and making the text blend a bit with the background could be an option, but I don't know if it would come across to every player super well.

The blotted out text thing is essentially what Netoria 1 did but I got a lot of negative feedback on it. I suppose I could just make it optional.

I like *censored* text in first part. You can try just distort txest soome wey or eav nly a fraction of sounds, if you already decided that hidden is no-no.

One thing that summer sweepers did was have the text blur be removable on 2nd playthrough. Since neto 2 seems geared for replay value perhaps that would be an option?

TBH I kinda like the way it was done in game 1. That said, it would also be nice to have a non-obscured option as well. Someone mentioned distorting text, maybe you could use a custom glitch text font?

What was great about Tactics 1 is that if you went to the message log, you could see the hidden text.

The alternate to obscured text would either be no text or full text, both scenarios don't work when setting NTR atmosphere.

Idk if there are any alternatives but I wouldn't mind at all if the text is similar to what was done in the first installment.

Any solution that involves an altered textbox would have the full text in the message log. That's the most desirable solution regardless because it means I don't have to manually edit every scene to make the voyeur version.

Really cool idea.

Hopefully next game they even start fucking mid battle behind each other back.
Rippable clothes doesn't work with this game because each character has too many possible classes. It would be cool though.

As for more sex acts in the middle of battle, yes that is planned.

More mid battle ad-hoc lewdness that feels like FE's support points going up fits the engine and premise so damn well.

Does transforming Carwyn look you out of the Triumphant route by itself or is the groping part. There's two stats related to this in the info: feminization and corruption.

Hello.

After finishing the game in normal mode and triumphant ending, i have a few things to say.
First congrats its a great game, as a fan of fire emblem series it was actually a great experience.
But their is a few things i would like you have done in the game.
So the first one is obviously the triangle system of weapon of fire emblem. Because at some point, i think even if i restart the game in difficult mode, i would still be able to beat the game with Mc and Gwen alone.
Bringing the triangle system, will make the gropping part less boring too, and make it more tactical in every way possible, im all about forcing the player to use every character to feel like its a real group. So please to try to consider to bring the triangle in your next games or update of this game. I actually try a run with the groping part, but its kinda boring/not that much interesting ( thats only my opinion).
Since the MC is not a gigachad in the beginning, but become one on the end, i would have prefer that he grows into it, and that its not like the dude wake up one day and decide to be one, i can understand the fact that he was fighting for his life and suddenly he was like ( fuck yeah lets be a gigachad) but in my opinion it feels that it comes too fast.

Of course im going to complain about the fact that it was a short game, that doesnt have animation of the sexual content, but since its a fire emblem like, it did not bother me that much. But adding more chapter into the game will make some part of the triumphant road more realistic in my opinion.

Their is a important bug that you forgot to fix, the first time we transform the kobold in dragon mode, he have a chat with the 3 others males characters that i just killed 2-3 chapters before so it should not have trigger this scene. ( Since i was on triumphant road and they were dead ^^ ).

And if u release another game, i really would appreciate a orgy theme. Like a group of lovers fighting for life or trying to build a new kingdom with their own rules ( that was just some example ^^) .. And adding the system of children of Fire emblem, with ever by adding some kind of time travel ( like in fire emblem awakening) or time skipping like you did on the end of the game, to be able to play with them at some point.
And of course to be able to choose which class they will be fighting with. By either mating specific people to obtain specific class. Or let the player decide which class we want the children's to fight. Or completly random.
A little character creation in the beginning of the game could be fun too, like we choose that the mc will be a man/women/trans/combat helicopter or a fkin chair hahaha ( with different background etc..)
Because at some point that kind of content make in my opinion, the game more easier to restart. ( but i guess a absolute nightmare in terms of writing a good story and how long it will take to make a game like this)

And again, congrats i really feel like i was playing a game, compare to most of the content on this website. And that i felt rewarded no matter what choice i was making, even if i did not finish the gropping roads of the game and i dont really intend to, it was fun.

I really hope that you make another great game like this one in the future, even without any animation. Sorry for the bad english, not my mother language ^^.
