I'm kinda bummed by all this potential censorship crap impending. It's one render in 2000. I'm certainly not going to glorify rape or violence. It's a dark story. Murder/assault/etc unfortunately are everyday's occurences. Telling a (dark) story is still just that. A story.
Whatever. I will swap it with simple and implicit murder.
Thanks for the heads up :)
Sorry for being late to the party, saw it by chance while looking for something else, but I can give you a "direct" practical experience.
I am not a dev, but I developed and maintain an incest patch for a game, after Patreon threatened the dev because his game had the possibility for incest and bestiality - notice, possibility, it was not mandatory, but the possibility was enough.
And they even said that if he was involved in any way with any kind of patch, even distributed through other platforms, they would still nuke him - and since he found himself having the game as his income source, he had to oblige.
At least kind of, someone else made a patch for bestality, I made the one for incest, he does not officialy help in them, does not distribute them and does not even support them, but he does not stop them either.
Subscribestar is more lenient.

There are games and content on Patron that seems clearly in violation of their strict line, but that is a matter of luck, till when somebody does not report them to Patreon or Patreon finds out about them.

About the reference someone made to Stephen King, haven't read it yet (had seen TV serial and movie, plan to watch again the movies and then read the book), but yes, Stephen King even said if he wrote again the book probably would take it out to avoid criticism, and I would not be surprised if new editions are censored.
But one has to see things in context - the way it has been described, it is a kind of bonding rite, and bonding and passage rites have been common over history (and again, I admit I have not yet read that scene, but I am pretty sure it will be much better than real violent stuff adolescents do to enter in gangs in real life).

There seems to be three trends that all link Patreon and the credit card's attitude (and not only): 1) they cannot make the difference between a game or (erotic) fantasy and reality, or better they expect/think people cannot do it, as if not being able to make the difference was normal (and is not, for an adult); 2) if something is not spoken about, it does not happen, so, if you do not want a young one to have an interest in sexual activity (hence, risk they do it and goes in a mess), just pretend it does not exist (rather than educating them properly to avoid risks), people have no sexual hormones before 18 (or 21) :-D; 3) in part linked to the first two, even if you try to put it negatively (as you were saying would have been your case), they seem to assume (wrongly, I would say) if you mention something people will do it, if nobody talks about it, it will not happen (so, pretend rape never happens, and it never happens in real life, though I suggest you do not go say it to rape victims around, they may not take it so positively as attitude).
