I'm gonn fuckin cry.
Damn good run going, witch/curse deck that was obliterating early bosses... laptop decided to overheat and bluescreen. Now my saves are gone and the log shows a decryption password error... why the fuck they gotta encrypt save files and not fucking save whatever password it generates for that somewhere? the fuckin backup save file isn't worth shit when that's also encrypted.
My bitching aside... you guys complain a lot about the deck/card balances. It's a little unintuitive initially, but once you figure out an actual plan for your deck (and grind some to collect better cards) the difficulty/balance changes dramastically. The only legitimately useless card that I've come across is guard; seems like it could have potential for forcing draws, but its really just gambling away the mana to maybe swap it out for a different card. Everything else, even the weak cards, have situations where they are useful.
As for those of you complaining about curse being useless... you haven't played enough yet. Might not be OP but just a few good curse cards will make a huge difference, especially early game when you don't have the stuff to combo.
And as for the balance.... you can just stick to the training section or the first mission and grind it. You can save scum EVERY item pickup. Do that even a little bit, just to avoid picking up cards you know you won't ever be using, and the balance skews heavily in your favor.
