How do I remove the save if I want to restart from the beginning? It seems to be saved on a cloud somewhere I can't see. I tried to find and delete the saved data file but it literally doesn't exist, and the data won't budge even if I reinstalled the zip and game.

The "save" is in the registry, are just few variables. You need to delete that using "regedit".
