Who the hell cares if the design in plagiarized so many other games use same art and such! It's unique enough that it is not a direct drawing plagiarizing like China tend to do. He made the art different and unique enough so who cares if he liked the art style of whatever this game Aurelia is that you keep harping about. Most likely he liked that game and style and borrowed from it for his own perception view.

The art style is the only thing I see the rest is all original.

What I care about in game.

1. Not nearly a 100% art ripoff (clearly this is not he just took some of the style and made it unique)
2. Play ability of the game. Still waiting on this and not pages of plagiarization complaints

"GUISE, there's an axe on the tree trunk in both games. This game is obviously an Aurelia rip-off!!!!111"

Btw, only 1 in the top 10 countries with highest HDI(Human Development Index) in the world has english as their native language(USA is in the position 21 behind Japan and South Korea where people couldn't speak basic english if their lives depended on it). It's hilarious that someone would use it as an argument over IQ(in a porn games forum of all places... nevermind that the user doing it seems to be dumber than a sack of hammers).
hmm.. let me think. how many games with old styles huts have I seen with an axe lying next or leaning on a tree? WAY TOO MANY TOO COUNT! After all it was the ONLY way they could heat their homes or cook back than.

Somehow people are too harsh on this game since it has similar art style with Aurelia. As far as I know, there's no art from this game that is copied or traced from Aurelia so calling it a plagiarism or ripoff just doesn't make sense. Aurelia is an amazing game but it doesn't have sole monopoly on oldschool point and click pixel art art style. Not to mention the fact that the dev of this game themselves admit that they're inspired by Aurelia

OK this is not even an alpha this is a proof of concept. There is not even a Hilda to meet.. you meet your sister. You go to a town that you can only enter in the INN and the Blacksmith you can't enter. Buildings are all just static can't enter any at a time. So yeah no idea what this game will be like because it's can't even classify as an Alpha right now.

Hey, Fiery Tails here - creators of Nidaros :)

We’ve not been on here for a while but just stumbled upon this thread. It has been a very interesting read for us to take a part of. Thank you for that. And especially thanks for the positive comments and constructive feed.

With that said I really feel like I wanted to address some of the thoughts. Yes, we’ve obviously been heavily inspired by Aurelia - btw how crazy is it to have the big man himself here, I’m lowkey star struck. ( Hi! | * _ * | ) * Jaw drops to the floor * Mirthal

The basis for our own development is simply friends with mutual enjoyment for the indie game industry but also particularly this style(pixel art) and the adult genre. And I think what’s most important for us to emphasize is that our ambition here is to try and make our own unique contribution to the community. (I promise you we got plenty of ideas ;) )

With time and experience in all fields I’m confident that we’ll deliver a unique experience but in a similar format such as Aurelia. But you have to have some faith and trust the process.

It’s really inspiring reading comments around excitement for the game since we pour our hearts working with what little time we have between our 9-5 and other responsibilities.

We haven't updated for a while but recently posted a new version of the game where we really believe we’ve stepped up our game. We would be so stoked if you guys checked it out.

And if you’re one of the believers we’d greatly appreciate it if you consider checking out our patreon. We’ll devote each cent towards the community and hopefully one day support our dreams of doing this full time.

I noticed it when at the farm pouring water on her scene and the blacksmith's robbery scene

Pretty much every time those side bars popped in
Thank you for the bug report! We have now fixed the issue with the farm scene.
As for the blacksmith robbery scene, we're currently working on it. It will be out soon.

Guys, am I the only one that cannot seem to run the game on a different resolution? I only see half the text bar and there are no options from what I gathered. Also, none of the buttons on my keyboard change anything. I'm at a loss here, appreciate any help

Right now the game is not adapted to run on anything but 1920x1080 or 16:9 AR. But in the future we'd like to try and adjust so it's possible to run without hiccups on other resolutions as well.
But right now the best advice is to try and force to run the game in said resolution. We've had a player with a ultrawide monitor who solved it like this:

"I was able to get around it by passing "-screen-fullscreen 0 -screen-height 1080 -screen-width 1920" as command line launch arguments, forcing the game to a window lower than my monitor resolution with 'standard' aspect ratio. "

Hope that this helps! // Fiery Tails
