So guys I have recently bought a new laptop and I have like 120GB of lewd games in the old one lots of them are games still in developement. The thing is I don't know if I need to move all of them in to my new laptop (in that case I need to wait for my external SSD to arrive) or if I can just grab the saves of the games and copy them into the next update. For instance instead of moving the Being a DIK game in to my new laptop, could I just copypaste the saves when the next update is available or will it cause some sort problem? Like malfunctions or losing the gallery scenes etc.

Thanks in advance and sorry if I writted something wrong, been a while since the last time I posted and I'm not using english at work so I feel it worsened

Yes, you can. And, if you only play Ren'py games, you don't even have to copy each save folder separately.
Read this thread, for instance: https://f95zone.to/threads/saves-backup.47487/

No, it won't. Everything will go fine, just copy the whole Renpy folder from the APPDATA directory.
If a save is not compatible anymore, blame the game.

NB: the APPDATA folder may be invisible.

everything should work fine but I would suggest that you don't use old saves on new updates of any game cause you might missing some new content and also any new variable's that have been implanted will cause some errors down the road...

Thanks a lot man! I will do that as my appdata is not invisble so I have no problem.

Thank you! I think I shouldn't have any problems with my save files as almost every game I play I do it update by update, but if it does I'll just replay the games like the other times when I spent too much time without playing one of them so the old saves dindn't work properly.
