You can't use a "human" mesh in DAZ just because it looks, to you, human. A girl from a game in obj, fbx, is : just a 3D mesh. Could be a french baguette, a rock or a car, DAZ wouldn't know.
DAZ is mainly based on morphs, which means there are two reference meshes, the Genesis Male or Female, and then different looking shapes derived from that exact same mesh. No vertex is added.
This being said, yes it CAN be done. Most definitely. Some rare guys mostly on Forender, found a way to match the Genesis to any mesh ripped from a video game like the example you give here.
One method I know of (but it could be done in Blender) :
DAZ :
- Install with DIM the official DAZ plugin : Daz to ZBrush Bridge GOZ
- Start DAZ, Load a Genesis 8 female for example, select it in the Scene Tab. Do NOT load any morph, do NOT pose the Genesis. It needs to be default loaded A-Pose. Geometry : Base without subdivisions.
- File > Send to ZBrush
ZBrush :
- You now have the Genesis 8 in ZBrush. GoZ respects DAZ scale (1unit = 1cm). Do NOT change at all the Genesis.
- Load the human looking female you got, ripped from a game.
- Remove (but there's about 95% chances that you won't get a nude body under clothes as it's useless in a game) unnecessary clothes, jewels, etc. if you're lucky enough and they're separated meshes.
- Scale the human looking girl so that her proportions correspond to the Genesis character.
- Now use ZWrap to make the Genesis fit the human looking girl from a game. Advice : Mask areas such as inside of the mouth, etc. to be sure they won't be destroyed by the zwrap. It'll be easy later to scale those parts manually and put them back in place.
- After a bit of work you have a Genesis that is morphed into the shape of the mesh you got from a game. Export it as .obj
DAZ :
- Use Morph Loader Pro to load the .obj onto the default G8F.
All done, you can now save a Custom G8F morph and/or Character Preset.
