Oh, wait. Never mind. It looks like they've started consolidating and organizing all the random guides people would make. This is a link to the official subreddit post. I took a look and it's actually a lot more clear now than when I had to look through guides made by random users. Literally posted an hour ago so kind of lucky.

I haven't tried that many sites. I'll probably give Perchance a shot at some point. I just use Janitor AI because it's free and I'm too lazy and content with it to look for other places. Plus, I'd rather invest in the long term and eventually just run a model locally. I'm not really trying to do all that shit with running a proxy.

If you're talking about the hate on reddit, I think it's because a lot of them had been using proxies but then the models they were using to do that stopped being free or something (idk the specifics), which forced them all back to JLLM (Janitor AI's own LLM). They're complaining about JLLM, but not exactly the site itself.

I haven't tried any other LLM yet for chat bots but from the comments, it seems like it's a night and day difference when you use something like ChatGPT or Deepseek compared to JLLM. It still doesn't make sense to complain about it because well ... it's free and it's the best free one I've seen so far.

Either cough up $10 to openrouter or shell out cash to get something that can run a local LLM. It's not like games on this site where there's just an endless amount of games to leech and mooch off of (you should still support devs you like on their Patreons btw). It's not like there's other sites (that I've seen so far) that are free and are a better experience. I'm sure if there was another option, people would be talking about it more.

Small note about OpenRouter: If you use the OpenRouter WebUI, be sure to back up your NSFW chats. It seems like sometimes, individual messages get censored/removed days after they were generated.
I'm not sure if this censorship is done by OpenRouter itself or if it depends on the model, as it happened only with Gemini models for me.

I used to run 12b myself it's like night and day. the huge context, idk how to explain it, 12b might made me goon but never made me cry or being emotional. Currently I'm doing a long rp with a massive lore book, it's life-like I'm wasting my days xD. About the privacy concern, I'm using burner gmail account that created on my android phone that no need to add phone number or anything. Also I've done heavy degen roleplay on both gemini and deepseek with no problem.

I finally got around to doing this. I'm using gemini-2.5-flash. It gives you 500 per day. I got it dialed in and I like it way better than Deepseek.

Interacting with A.I chatbots is like collecting Pokemon. Just because you delete a character, doesn't mean you stop interacting with new ones.

And it's not even about mental, sometimes you forget about old chat bots or you make such improvements to the old chatbot's that they might as well be new ones.

I don't know why would people lie. I believe them when they said that bot making is making a toll on their mental health. It's not just them, this is common in fanfiction community and game Devs.

A.I chat bots when configured properly are pretty personalized and relationships can get really deep/emotional. Maybe some people grow overly attached to their chat-bots, but I am a Japanese buisnessman tier degenerate realist so I really don't get overly attached to any one character.

As for dev's, try making a game where the words, and actions of your characters are completely out of your control. It quickly becomes frustrating, it's no wonder most of them opt for A.I graphics instead of using A.I to influence relationship building exercises and sexual tendencies of characters in their games.

The limit is the context length - prompt - lorebooks - chat history - current message. If you are uing a remote API it can be long, but plenty of models lose the script after a time if you don't manage context.. Fight the desire to use large max tokens, you'd be surpised how quickly a million character context limit can dissolve if you are using 1000+ toke responses, plus reasoning, etc. If you find the model is too descriptive, give it an OOC command:

OOC: limit descriptive text to no more than 40% of response tokens

Look into the SillyTavern Summarizer extension. It can be used in similar faship to 'momories' or 'long term memory' such as with other sites. You could also stuff those meories into a lorebook as you progress.

I haven't had an issue with that, but sometimes it blocks the message if it's too NSFW. Only with 2.5 and only on janitor. If you use this, it gets around all censorship:

I think they actually don't care, AI can get so personalized that the conversations can get crazy deep and hit hard since LLMs are always programmed to be nice to the user.

article about a psychiatrist that tried ChatGPT himself with interesting results, also those people who use AI to replace human interaction might actually do so out of desperation. I read something about some guy who uses ChatGPT daily as his actual friend because it's the first "person" or "someone" who complimented him or talks to him positively.

But I also think there is a difference between using AI to jerk off and using it in place of all human interaction.

Yes apis to SillyTavern. I don't think there's any real censorship I do some pretty degen rp

Deepseek R1 paid is cheap af and acting correctly. R1 Free was acting very weird and requiring me to continuously reload the page to get a response.
