Inflated expectations.
Personally, I think it's a good game, although there are some unfortunate moments. But it's an interesting game with a good NTR.

The gameplay part isn't what's bad directly, I guess it is just routelocking and not knowing how to even initiate a route without a guide. If I play a game I usually don't want to exclusively rely on a guide. But honestly the scenes themselves were good enough. It is not by any means perfect but definitely much more playable than people make it out to be, I had my fun with it.

This animation was done to promote the Steam release of NTRHOLIC. Seems a bit weird to spend thousands of dollars or days of animation to create promotional material of a 3 year old already well-known game. Can’t imagine there are many buyers of Steam who didn’t already buy NTRHOLIC from DLSite or pirated it. But it’s a very very nice animation.

Bro when I was playing this my head starts to get hurt man really because can't see a single thing in dark and that is so ducking irritates me so I just drop the game and download the saved gallery from DL

I miss ntr but recently I can't for the life of me find something that will draw me in and keep interested. And I didn't even play through all the classics like some people here so it's not like there aren't any options.

For me the game doesn't even have to be 'objectively' good, it just needs to click with me in this very moment but nah, nothing to suck me in.

tried it really fast because a lot of area where closed "waiting for update" , personally i think of it more like a corruption game , ntr is very weak , you're the daughter of a noble and after the first day or something like this , your father say that you are engaged to your childhood friend and that your both where in love with each other but nothing really happened between you

Try playing a shitton of vanilla games over some reasonable period of time, then drop the nastiest recommended ntr game you can find. See what happens.

Ntr makes you desensitized to it pretty fast.

Try playing SSP if you haven't. Legit draws me back every time.
