For those who are curious about playing Japanese titles but unsure about how to proceed, here is my setup. Unfortunately I am unable to post links yet, but you can easily find everything by a simple google search.

• NextHooker: Improved version of ITHVNR with built-in Google Translate and clipboard support. Also supports hooking few more engines out-of-the-box without manual configuration.
• LocaleEmulator: Needed for starting Japanese applications otherwise they might not run optimally or may not run at all. Thanks to this program there is no need to change your OS locale settings and potentially damage your work environment.
  
• Bing Translator: Available on Microsoft Store as an app, also available as a webpage. I like the former since it is more compact and also has offline translation support.

For translation I use both Google and Bing. If one of them has a funny translation, the other one usually translates it better. This way at least I have some idea about the context. NextHooker already has built-in Google Translate support, for Bing or other translation engines I just paste the Japanese text into the translator.
I was pretty skeptical about Japanese VNs but after being able some of them with this setup I have to say I am impressed. Japs pay more attention to emotions and in-between relation dynamics better than their western counterparts. In western titles the antagonist fucks the wife on day 3, the "cuck" goes through his usual "lol i am loser" rollercoaster. I don't know it just doesn't do it for me anymore, unless it is at least something like GGGB where your choices have some observable impact on the story.

So, bear with me here. I am not a full fledged japanese speaking, waifu-having, animu-loving wizard (yet. although god forbid). I am a simple faggot like most of you guys, after a tiresome long day I just like jacking off to them netorare/cuckold stuff imagining one day Tyrone will be nailing the missus while I am slapping the sergeant like a good cuck. So I am definitely not one of those guys with anime avatars who know their shit around "anything-japanese", the only japanese words I know are yamate, arigato and mitsubishi (there might be more but these are the only ones i can remember atm).

". Apparently ITHVNR, NextHooker etc. is all about extracting the text. Their job is not the translation, but just getting the text. What you do with it is up to you. So in this case Translation Aggregator also has its own hooking/text extracting mechanism but it's ass. That's where the NextHooker comes in. So basically what you do is this:

1. Start the game with Locale Emulator
2. Start NextHooker and attach it to the game executable
3. Remove Google Translate extension (TA will take care of that)
4. After starting the game choose the appropriate hook that copies the dialogue text correctly
5. (Optional) Remove other unnecessary hooks to optimize performance
   
6. Start Translation Aggregator
7. Choose your preferred translators and enable clipboard watch mechanism for them
8. Enjoy!

So what happens is NH gets the in-game text and copies it clipboard, TA monitors clipboard changes and whenever it detects Japanese text it starts translating. You can use other hookers other than NH as long as they are able to get the text and copy it to clipboard. I am writing all this because I was once frustrated with this stuff as well. I mean these otaku folk love writing everything to their obscure hentai/anime/vn boards where you have to search for it post by post like a librarian. Sure, there are plenty tutorials out there but they either use too many technical terms for a beginner or it's written by some guy who found an out-dated copy of a program that works by chance but the setup is sub-optimal and something breaks occasionally.

Does Translation Aggregator have built in Google Translate like NextHooker? I'm trying to find the best, most accurate translators, anyone have any ideas? I've heard of Bing and ATLAS. Anyone wanna share their configuration? Google Translate is my bread and butter, but the recent throttling is fucking me up.

Anyone link me to a working copy of Translation Aggregator? The one by you, I couldn't even download it with Chrome. With IE, it spammed the shit out of me with pop up ads that could not be closed.

Edit: Ok I got it with Firefox. Says there's a virus on it. But it works. So you can hook the game with whatever text hooker, and once the text is on your clipboard, you can just run Translation Aggregator with their built in Google Translate which seems to be the only one that works for me. Yay!

Ya know, I've noticed that I really like that concept. Whenever I'm playing a game with NTR, I keep hoping that the antagonist will take more than just one love interest. Almost as if you're a side character in a harem game. I don't imagine that there are many (any?) games like that though.

In Living With Temptation 2, there is a scene where you get in the hot tub with two of the girls, and depending on how you played they would seem disinterested and ask where the other guy was. I don't think there ended up being any scene with them and the other guy though. :disappointed:
