What setting of ntr do you like the most? Listing out off the top of my head.

1) Modern day school (highschool/university lovers, young adults)
2) Modern day family (either with child or newly married couple) (most anim games)
3) Fantasy adventure (usually hero and demon king, usually medieval setting paired with it)
4) Magical girl (stuff like Aura, girl transforming into a heroine)
5) Agents (I guess taimanin series falls here)
6) Rural village (summer scars for example)
7) Post apocalypse
8) Mecha setting
9) corporate setting
10) spaceship setting

For me personally I love the corruption angle in Magical Girl setting and love the overall vibe of fantasy adventure. Hero losing his harem is pretty fun.

EDIT: added a few more per suggestion

I don't get agents stuff. I also really don't see Taimanin as NTR. The girls are hot, though.

Taimanin yukikaze 2 was sorta ntr. Also mama wa taimanin, though that was fem protagonist. I mainly wanted to showcase which setting I mean, as thats the most popular.

You haven't mentioned
Anyway, as I have already written, the NTR genre thrives on the corruption, and preferably in a hidden way. Contrasts and secrets are essential here.

That’s why, for example, an inherently mysterious magical fantasy world with its vivid tropes works exceptionally well for NTR. And it’s more effective than sci-fi or modern settings because fantasy inherently emphasizes the importance of individuality and the very idea of personal supremacy.

The brighter the light, the darker the shadow.

And that's why you actually could notice that NTR is any genre is successful to a degree where the circumstances are fantasy-like in this regard, we need female characters with strong social roles (Student Council President / Teacher / CEO / and family-ntr with Mother/Sister, meanwhile fits in the same category ) to get an emotional impact. That's what is actually important - and that's how we, sometimes, can find more fantasy in a well-made school story then in more mechanistic case of some literally "fantasy" game, if it's made not well enough.

Anyway, the point. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall." "Oh how the mighty have fallen." Breaking the strong, hunting the strongest prey is the most ancient and powerful romance of the mankind. It's not necessary about the literal power of a character or her social role, but more about the emotional intensity of her image.

Modern day school because the setting is great in general for both romcom and ntr.
Fantasy adventure is also nice. And the rest it depends more on the quality of the ntr than the setting tbh.

Added them, but most of them I can only think of 1 game that does it. Especially mecha. Thats pretty much just the raioghar devs 2 games.

Can someone help me find a NTR doujinshi. I found it here on this thread, but can't seem to find it anymore. It was a fantasy setting with a couple (I think the woman had red hair). The woman was strong-willed and had a tomboy personality. They rescue a humanoid monster I think, and the standard NTR occurs. Near the end of it, the bull makes the FMC take a drug that will only let her get pregnant with his sperm and not the husbands. Thats all I can remember. TIA

This, although it doesn't need to be a demon king type of deal, it can be normal adventurer stuff or like game of thrones, etc. Also Isekai included in fantasy. Mostly because it hink settings liek this allow for more extreme stuff in betrayals.

Modern day school too since young people really can be that stupid so there isn't so much suspension of disbelief.

But honestly all of those can be good and even mixed.

my favorite is fantasy mixed with semi-magical girls who can use magic. something like Sabrina and the Helpless Soul is my favorite. the mtl is extremely shit, but under the bubbly veneer is actually one of the most soul crushing ntr games extremely dark stuff. the mc gets his body taken over and then has to slowly watch the fat ugly slob who took it over slowly molest and take all the firsts of the childhood girlfriends who loved him and he loved. there's different endings, but

the magical element allows a lot more possiblity to create horrific endings. something like curse of kubel where the girl decides to brainwash the cuck using magic so he's a provider raising another guys children, but doesn't know. i like mom ntr in any setting possible, but magical ones are the best for other relationships because otherwise it feels like just walk away. whereas with magic they can control and betray the mc in gut wrenching ways.

Any games similar to these two? Bonus points if it Shota related.

Any setting can work, but scifi and especially post apocalypse are somewhat rarer in my experience than fantasy and modern, so its nice to see something different once in a while.

As for Fantasy specifically I do like the setting but those are also the RPGM games that tend to have the most grindy combat. Defeating 100 blue slimes for every h scene is never fun.

it is really good netorare game i dont know why but, some people hate this game because it is look like sao, i think game has a good story
people hate it because its (or was) buggy as hell, had a very boring & tedious parts (labyrinth at the beginning for example) and, while story is kinda there, the writing is awful. Not gonna lie i expected worse when i've tried this game, but it turned out to be okayish. Had a very similar vibe to The Incredible Steal

obv these two. mirage's defection & tenants of the dead are my top favs from these two settings. ntr games just hit different when they have a good plot and likeable characters (mc included lol)

I never had any issue with it being buggy myself. I thought it was pretty good. Yea, I think Incredible Steal is a good comparison. Its latest animations are really good too.

I'm glad you didn't, i myself had only 3 or 4 bugs when i've played Part I but they were gamebreaking (2 endless waitings and 2 black screens afaik) so i lost a lot of unsaved time back when i played, even tho i didn't mind it really. I'm mostly talking about people rageposting on multiple pages in the game's thread

By the way, how do we categorize VR (virtual reality / videogames ntr)?
Sure, Sword Art Online and SAO-doujins are the main source of this content. But I can name The Stereotype That Only Girls Play Healers Isn’t True at All!!!

I don't get agents stuff.
Well, I like the Agent/Undercover trope quite much, but it's mostly about corruption rather than ntr. Offhand, I can only recall a couple of ntr-undercover comics.
  • [Mr.SweetCuckhold] Undercover Betrayal
  • [ROD.WEL] 《TEYVAT BITCHES》 Yelan +
