Anyone have recommendations for games or manga/manwha with mystery NTR where it's also a mystery to the player/reader until the MC finds out? No hidden sex scenes shown, just subtle hints that keep you guessing. Preferably with an MC who isn't comically oblivious.

I know it kinda defeats the point if you know it's NTR before-hand, but I want something different than most mystery games. Where the MC is the human apex of density and it's just scenes of the wife or whatever getting banged behind a door or silhouette
Two works came to my mind: First one is Itaiamai by Ryoh-zoh. Several chapters, a lot of tension, a very good work. Feel free to check out the author's other work Rarefure. They have some similarities, but they are different.

The other recommendation isn't exactly what you're looking for, but it's similar. Unfortunately, it's straightforward:
[Rasson] Shiho-san to Kokujin no Ryuugakusei | Shiho-san and the Foreign Exchange Student
(Nhentai code:325774). There is a version of this doujin with all the explicit scenes, look for it if you want

NTR Live 2D.

Though, to my eyes, it feels AI assisted. Might just be the artstyle... I am not sure.
its definitely AI assisted that which i dont mind so long a they make an erotic game

I never understood "AI-assisted"
AI dont assist you, you assist the AI lmao
its just meant to soften the blow

still,
全てオリジナルの手描き高品質CGを使用
All CGs are original, high-quality hand-drawn illustrations.

I believe it is used for those that use AI but has edits of their own compared to untouched or raw AI generated image. That's what I got from that wording and I don't want to discuss semantics further.

guys, do you know what things should the dev keep in mind while making a parody ntr game?
Effort into fully understanding the source material to some extent. It's likely that the player-base is already intimately familiar with the characters and worldbuilding, so I believe developers should do their due diligence in studying and respecting the IP.

I think there are two main ways of parody: Making fun of NTR tropes and making fun of NTR fan expectations. I'd say, have a clear idea of where do you want to poke, both can be good if done right. Avoid kinkshaming or moralizing, take NTR as it is, not what you want it to be. Like, don't approach it as a hater and the parody will feel genuine.

Ahah, that made me recall the word from the author of : .

Using this as an advice for drag0nf6y:

When writing a parody ntr game, your intention should not be to poke fun at what doesn’t work in ntr genre and/or the original work (even though you will inevitably indulge in that quite a lot). In fact, it should be the complete opposite.
To you, writing a parody ntr game should be looking at both the ntr genre and the original work and going: "This is what works." Then, you will see a lot of untapped potential.

Could someone give me some recs on GOOD stories in recent NTRPGS? The kind of game where you really get invested into what's happening. It's been a while since I've played anything of that quality (the last thing probably being that mirage game or whatever). The new nikusuke game will probably be top notch but it's still a wip.

Maybe there's a chance that you've not played games by Cli-Pick? They're all banned there after all. Overly dark-rapist, a bit grindy, but very quality - with thorough stories, and they have good translations. As for specific recs:
  • Mind Luda is the most recent one, it was translated a year ago. But it's more like of an FMC kind. FMC has to use drugs and fight in the arena to save her husband and son. She has to provide favors to her opponents regardless of whether she wins or loses, etc.
  • Wailing Guignol is considered the best one among the fans of the creator. It's a bit similar to Dark Hero Party, in the sense some bandits come to the village the MC lives in and start banging the girls. Starts with the MCs mom losing a fight with the bandit leader, with obvious consequences. The MCs girlfriend then slowly gets corrupted while she has to serve the bandits in their camp. Gameplay is the MC trying to free the women, while exploring around and solving a mystery story wise.

Other than that, the best more-or-less recent ntr-rpgs I've played

All hand-drawn art and 30 Live2D scenes?
I’d be skeptical here until an artist and L2D animator are listed.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, but the budget simply doesn’t check out for an RPG Maker game with a dev who’s only joined last week.

To hand-draw 30 illustrations and animate them with proper L2D is at least $30-60k USD, if not more.
It’s even more expensive if you refer to VGen prices.

I’m saying this from personal experience. I’m currently making an L2D sprite for Akari and I’m dying. These things are expensive and time-consuming as hell. Even many top-tier JVNs can’t afford to implement L2D.
I had to borrow money to make it happen, and I won’t be doing more L2D until I get more financial support.

I’ll still check out the game, but from the single video shown, I’m not very convinced it’s true L2D. The budget expenditure is simply outlandish for a game that’s only 3-6 hours(!)

The design reminds me of Hisato from Himawari wa Yoru ni Saku by Takeda Hiromitsu. Even the name of their OC character is similar.

Thank you for this list, do you know how can we get the translated versions of Mind Luda or Wailing Guignol?

Pls make sure you are actually just spending as much money as you expect to make off of the game.

Thanks, very nice recs. I've played Mind Luda and didn't like as much but I'll give WG a try. Loved Start Knightess Aura but I haven't played the other two. Will check all of them out eventually.
