I really don’t want to see a Naruto NTR game I would rather have a dress up darling NTR game but I hope their is a 3rd option game and hopefully a fourth

To state someone has a good character, they need to have a character to begin with.
The moment he had his "makeover", he lost any character.
I get why people like solo leveling. I enjoyed it as I would a filthy mcdonalds burger. But it doesnt make it something good.
To bring it back to ntr discussion, would solo leveling make for good ntr setting? Personally I dont think so - again the story didnt flesh out any characters enough for me to care about any of them - so ntr wouldnt hit. Everyone exists solely to glaze the MC - or by proxy the reader. Its all this is, a self glazing power fantasy.
I just thought the character was good, but I'm not sucking up to the one in the anime, I thought it was pretty ok actually, haha. So it's an unpopular opinion, but it's a pretty overrated anime.
the only good thing about slop leveling was the anime's animation and the manhwa's art, other than that it's nothing but a second hand ripped off of sao
it’s okay dude xP, even i enjoy a lot of generic isekai slop xD. but calling jinwoo a better character than kirito is a bit of a stretch

It was recency bias and no competition, Solo Leveling S1 was nominated for Anime of the year but S2 just wrapped up like 2 months before the awards, and that season got so insanely popular that nothing had a chance of beating it, which is partly because there was no other popular mainstream anime that season to compete with it. The same thing happenend to JJK, the Hidden Inventory arc (first 5 episodes of S2) was nominated for the award, but everyone who voted for it voted because of the Shibuya Incident (rest of S2), and not for the stuff that it was actually nominated for.
Listen i LOVE the manhwa of Solo Leveling, i couldn't tell you how many times i've read that fucking thing, but giving SJW best main character and giving SL anime of the year was just one of the dumbest things i've ever seen in my life, i haven't even seen Frieren except for like a few clips, like that red haired guy fighting a dragon or whatever, and i still wanted it to win over SL.

Calling Kirito a better character than SWJ is just as much of a stretch, neither of them are good characters by any metric, except for maybe like the rule of cool, which is borderline the lifeblood of every power fantasy, and in my subjective opintion SWJ is objectively the coolest power fantasy MC, hence the reason why the anime got so popular.
That is the appeal of the entire show, watching the MC get progressively stronger and increasing his army, how is Kirito being strong from the get-go solely because he was a beta tester or whatever any better ?
different strokes for different folks ig. but slop leveling really lacks interesting world building, because if you take away jinwoo aka the op mc, you can't name a single memorable scene or even any of the other characters xD
let's not talk about slop leveling before the thread gets purged or something, and i won't be wordcelling anymore

The SAO hate probably comes from how it completely changes in tone once they leave the death game. Most people will say that the first part when they are in the original game is very good. But then it switches to that fairy world and really loses the stakes. Which is why underworld is liked by most people.

The buff Jin woo isnt even the same guy as the original dude, his entire bone structure changed. Literally nothin but the name is the same, lol. He didnt power up, bro died and they brought in the stereotypical model. lol

Years ago when I was really young I was among those people who criticized SAO just because everyone else did it and I truly feel ashamed of that because after some time I thought about it and I started to think that it wasn't so bad after all... I watched it when I was very young and I liked it at the moment, I just never finished it... But yeah, i agree that it's sad and unfair when a community does that with an anime or a game or something

Personally, I dislike overpowered MCs, what I call "wish-fulfillment protagonists", so I can’t stand characters like Kirito or Jinwoo. Their struggles are minimal (if you can even call half an episode of tension a "struggle"), and their plot armor is so thick they bulldoze through every enemy without real stakes.
