My main issue with this and similar games is that they aren't actually games. They're essentially just kinetic novels made in RPGMaker.

I'm probably going to express an unpopular opinion, but in my view, a good NTR game ( a game) doesn't need a good story. Just like a good game about corruption, an NTR game needs an element of struggle for the player, as well as non-obvious choices.

Is the story in Rinatest good? Well, I'd say it's average. Is it interesting to play? Very much so (it's especially nice that it doesn't have those famous clouds with hearts screaming "step here / talk to him to get a scene," and the variability isn't just in the endings but also in how the game day unfolds).

Do people really love NTRpg2 and Henteria for their plots? Or is it perhaps for how that story is delivered and implemented through the game engine, and it's precisely the combination of these things that matters? That's the reason why I stopped following SAO2. Fujino was never a master storyteller, but he created good scenes and used the mystery element effectively. However, when the game grew to such a scale, it stopped being interesting. He doesn't change the formula or introduce new mechanics or mini-games; essentially, you just go from point A to point B to watch a scene, and then wait for a new update (it seems he even forgot about the phone and the blog, which previously served as sources for scenes).

Considering that NTR and corruption go hand in hand, we can also recall Karryn's Prison, where you really have to put in effort to keep the heroine pure. It doesn't give you a direct "have sex / don't have sex" choice. That choice is made through gameplay mechanics.
Why devs don't get this?

Look at ONEONE1’s sales - why would they change anything if their current formula keeps making money? Still, every game of theirs that I’ve played has the same problem: combat basically comes down to a single button, and your route depends entirely on whether you win or lose to a boss. As a result, you can either breeze through the whole game without effort and see almost no H-scenes because you win everything, or the heroine turns into a slut right after the first boss if you deliberately lose.

I remember modified Ideology in Friction a bit - just by adding symbol encounters to the harassment events and adjusting the stat growth curve, and it instantly became much more interesting to play. If they added something like a lust meter and slightly changed dialogue depending on the heroine’s level of corruption, it would already feel like a completely different game. And they wouldn’t even need to draw new scenes; they already have plenty of cg and animations that could be reused.

As for smaller, niche developers, they might simply lack the skills to do something like that. Take NTRPG 2 again — the way it “directed” all those scenes right on the map is actually impressive, and it required not only creative vision but also solid understanding of the editor beyond just placing events on maps.
an example where the dev did a poor job with the technical part, although the idea is great and it's a pity that the dev disappeared two months before the release of the second game

I'm moreso in the camp of someone who really enjoys the VN format for NTR over anything else. If you're going to use RPGMaker for NTR, I tend to agree that you should use that format for all it's worth, I quite enjoyed how HC2/3 goes about it. That being said, gameplay for the sake of gameplay never fails to make my blood boil, so I'd rather that most developers steer clear of it unless they've got a really clear idea of what they're trying to do.

What are some hardcore NTR works lately? No mystery NTR. The protagonist witnesses the heroine/fmc corruption

I think the way we and japan view rpg mechanics in a game is quite different. It seems like a good amount of japanese ntr fans don't mind how lazy rpg mechanics are these days. I always see 4/5 stars

Any suggestions for h games? Doesn't have to be rpgm or ntr. Nebel and Black Souls left me empty, I just want an enjoyable h game

The release date of Rain Monster got changed on DLsite from late October to Late December.

The dev injured/overworked himself so he couldn't make the October release date. He's been pretty open about it in his ci-en comments section.

He's trying to finish the last 5% and won't give any dates until he's fully finished development. The Late December postponement is..........probably......a placeholder, but at this point anyone who doubts it is justified because of all the delays.

Yeah i know, somebody already posted this article the day it was published, but there's no mention of a new release date in that article so most people probably guessed that it was going to be released sometime in November. The reason why i made my previous post was not because i wanted to let people know that it got postponed, i made that post to let people know that the new release date is late December.

If there's any game I'm certain will be highly acclaimed this year, it would definitely be Fallen Priestess. Although you could say this game is much more ambitious than Nebel, its development process has been decidedly smoother.

As of now, BBQ has started releasing and almost certainly won't face any more delays. Perhaps not every aspect of the game will meet my expectations, but its level of polish will certainly be much higher than Nebel—my #1 NTRPG—by a lot.

Considering how utterly awful Nebel is, I don't think this one's fate will be any different.

I'll definitely play it but I'm not too exited for it cause honestly the thing I liked the most about Nebel was the CCTV parts which don't seem to be a thing in this one.

Nebel is not that awful, it just didn't reach its potential, but I would still give it 7/10
The idea was there. A skill-issue NTR. If only the heartbeat thing wasn't so predictable and that looking for them in night mode wasn't so easy.

Heavily grindy was a problem too in my opinion. If it had more direction and less grindy and more interactive, it would have been better.

The concept proves that a good skill-issue NTR game can be made. It's just most of these games tend to miss on critical parts of the game...
