Recommending NTR, netorare, cuckold - resources, discussion, development

I’ll use this opportunity to ask everyone lurking in this thread what you like most about NTR games when it comes to the gameplay and narrative aspects. I’m not talking about the type of NTR you want to see, but rather how you prefer these two elements to be incorporated into the game.

Should the gameplay be separate? Almost optional? Do you like it when the gameplay is directly involved in the NTR aspects and their development?

The same questions go for the narrative: do you like or care for the NTR to take place in a fleshed-out world, or is that just fluff you skip through to get to the adult content? Do you prefer the NTR storyline to be part of a greater story, or completely separate from it? For example, if the main story is about fighting the Demon Lord, do you prefer the NTR to be connected to that plot, or to happen alongside it as a separate thread? Or do you need such a framing in the first place?

I have my own thoughts on all of it but I would like to hear what others think.

While I don't know your personal stance on it I would very much advise the use of AI in that case. Even if it is looked down upon by some people, the reality is that even AI art needs a lot of care and attention to be good and that effort makes all the difference to AI art slop games. I just played

yesterday (not NTR) and the store screenshots make it look like just generic AI art was used, but actually most images are fully animated in the game and look far better than first impressions would suggest. And art can always be replaced later, if you do find the means to work with an artist after all.

I don't know. I think it's against to what I want. AI has this certain look that makes it look too weird. I don't prefer it. I'd rather not waste my ideas on it. Not that my ideas are unique or top notch. I would just prefer to do it properly.

when little by little control is increased.
(this can be ntr, corruption, harem. whatever.)

mind control when the character is not aware (right away) of it happening can also be super hot.
and then when the character becomes aware it is already too late.

I only ever want to involve myself with gameplay if it’s good, and it rarely ever is, so I’d like if it was optional for the most part.

I love a fleshed-out world, I wouldn’t consider it fluff unless it was terribly done.

If the greater story can stand on its own then that’s the ideal for someone like me, but I also don’t mind something that’s more focused.

But if a grand-sweeping narrative is the goal, the essence of NTR should be present throughout every part of story, there’s a lot to work with there thematically.

I honestly don't care about getting a grand NTR game, I just want a single really good one which actually is about the NTR I like. I do not care about some majestic story or fleshed out characters. I just really wish to find that one brutal honest NTR game that ticks my boxes without making concessions.

I have my own thoughts on all of it but I would like to hear what others think.

I think even with or without NTR in general, games need gameplay, otherwise its just a gallery viewer with extra steps, and I think a lot of games suffer from this aspect that just makes the user experience way too boring; they throw a few buttons in a VN or a quest to 'go to point A to point B' and then a scene appears, rinse and repeat. It's not fun to play and pushes the standard for the art to be exceptionally good to be considered a good game. If you want to use a game for a medium to narrate your NTR story, you definitely want to utilize the user interactivity to intensify the scenario given, as this is what is unique to a game compared to a doujin or a show.

And just a bit more on that, the gameplay and the grind aspect of it shouldn't be separate, it should be relevant to the game. There needs to be a balance of asking the user to collect something or go somewhere to flesh out the environment for lore/scenario versus asking players to grind for hours for a scene. That is a major blue ball and people will inevitably push for cheats, devaluing the importance of that need of that journey to collect/go to location.


Narrative I feel like is also a balance, but it really depends on the type of game you are designing and how your sex scenarios are presented; games like Karryn's Prison doesn't need LOTR lore as its scenarios is in its battle system and battlefuck scenes, whereas you also have games like SAO2 where scenarios require some build up to it to heighten/address the plot devices to lead to that scenario.

Specifically NTR, there has to be some narrative to set that foundation that the FMC/MC is to be corrupted, and there is a benefit in using text to introduce or convey thoughts, feelings, events or characters a visual cannot (and sometimes saves a lot of time in making less important characters be more inclusive to the story). However, too much unnecessary narrative and you end up boring the user and they will skip through, and too little confuses the user and dampens the sexiness of a scenario/situation.

TL;DR a good game should incorporate both relevant gameplay and a good volume of narration, and should be working with each other to improve the experience.

Instead of AI only, I would suggest 3D with AI used (sparingly) for animations. Unless a game has very good original art (NTR Knight, Boy Hero Ken, Falling Undercover, a few others) it's better to use 3D. Bad art is boner killer nr 1.

what i meant to say was that art was made mostly by an actual artist with the help of ai, my best guess would an sketch ai, the colors and lines are too sharp and detailed for an ai.

It's the cleaning ups to unslop it. Photoshop + Inpaintings and your art is gucci.

Now i started IA and i like it more for the overall quality, but i feel kinda limited, not having the same control as in HS2, hard to make multiple characters. I will share u guys some "sets" i made and i would like advices about how to spices things up, change my "hidden from mc/bf/husband" with the AI limits. I shared 2 phonecalls which were the firsts things i tried in AI. I'm an huge fan of solgante communications events and also of the Nebel Geisterjäger's cam view. I managed to do something with HS2/KKS + capcut. But with AI, this isn't easy. Well, if u can share with me some ideas of how i could manage to get differents settings for my little stories. I would really like it ! Thanks u in advance. Writing is awful, i use Paint3D and my english isn't perfect so i probably made some mistakes. My AI level is still improving, u might find some huge errors, such as fingers or even the bully head in the 2 last pictures. Was trying, so not focusing in the quality but the concept.

I would maybe agree, if you actually could fail to avoid the NTR in games that allow it, but usually (and I honestly don't know any examples to the contrary) it is simply choice based. And very much the kind of choices where the game goes "Do you want to be NTR'ed in this NTR game? Yes or no?" Which I find....appalling to be honest.

From what I recall the path to avoid NTR isn't necessarily obvious in Moving Down. However by the time that hard to avoid NTR is revealed to MC things are already so, so fucked up that it lacks the surprise or shock that true NTR fans would be looking for, even if it remains very painful.

I agree for the most part, but if there's a good build-up and intense anticipation (increasing my heartrate) before the scenes, then I'm fine with gameplay lacking.

It's hard not to appreciate what SSP dev did with minigames tho. It's refreshing when ntr is part of the gameplay and makes it more humiliating.
