From this image, My Girlfriend's Travel is actually decent. RPGM forget about it. Others are just too short or too slop.
Then you got APM and others whose "big update" in 6 months is to show a titty.
Yeah NTR is kinda shitty rn.
Is it actually Netorare? The game starts off with the premise of a free pass so I assumed it was Netorase the whole way through.
It's not hard NTR for mc and gf yet... because mc can ask gf to stop fucking. she says she stopped but we don't know for sure because it's cliffhangered in latest updates.
But it's NTR for mc's friend whose wife cheats on him and mc doesn't tell him.

Because every game that has come out recently has had the same stupid shit that makes them bad. I can ignore boring and tedious combat since I have a cheat tool to auto win. But pretty much without exception all the recent games that were released used some sort of gimmick to make teh corruption happen that takes agency away from the girl. Its not her choice to go with the other guy, its always some bullshit mechanic. Along with choices that I have to make as a player that allows the NTR to happen. Thats one of the most common things that ruin a game for me.
You either get, "oh no we are broke I need to sleep with this guy for money". Or some variation of X makes the girl super horney for some reason.
And you add in crazy bloat because the dev wants to hit every niche as possible in their game hoping it will appeal to more people. Like BBQs just released game. If the only thing in it was the prince route, then I could overlook the tediously combat, and the fact that it too has the "girl is horney oh no" mechanics. But there are way too many things stuffed into it that it just makes me not want to play it. Every rando on the street has scenes with the girl. So non of teh scene truely get propor story lines.
The game is objectively not bad, but its bad to me because to me it sucks ass. But just based on the ability to make a game in RPGM BBQ clearly is very skilled. But his writing just doesnt work for me.
And everything I dont like about the BBQ game is the same things I've hated from every game released recently.
1) Not the player character.
2) He gives her a free pass, whether he's happy about that or not.
I don't view that as NTR (opinions will obviously vary and if you enjoy it, more power to you).

really liked Revrie, you could consider it swinging more then NTR. Phone one is pretty good but some the stories drag out to long can be boring. Lots of people rave about Fallen Priestess i don't care for it. NTR Revenge is decent.

Man, what's with promising NTR game devs releasing unfinished "full" games? First it was Dungeon and Bride, now it's Priestess... I understand it's the usual stuff with the Bride's dev but BBQ really put a dumper on my mood. I'm already tired of all this waiting from all monthly development update games but now these full games that need me to wait another several months till they actually look full.
Makes you wonder if the same issue happens with games that cater to the fantasy/fetish of MC being raped, whether they keep repeatedly asking the player "Do you want to be raped right now? Yes/No", only allowing it to happen if you went out of your way to keep teasing and antagonizing the potential rapist character or forcing you to play as both the rape victim protagonist and the antagonist rapist etc.

Eastern NTR devs are not cooking at all, luckily there are some banger femprotag corruption games that I look forward to. Perhaps all the good devs moved on from making NTR games who knows.

i rather have that then what sometimes happens on this website
games getting 1* and developers losing motivation because of that
in jp they take products for what they are and judge them for that
in the west people judge products for what they want them to be
so many incredible 1/2/3 star rated games on this website
but getting low ratings because people don't like to read too much or because it has ntr or rpgm gameplay.
At the same time, if Dev keep getting high-ratings, they have no incentive improve, continuing to serve up slop maybe with even worse quality because they know people with still buy and rate it high.
In fact it might discourage people who actually make something good as they will have either the same rating or just half a star more than these slop.
I think this sites rates are more fair. Maybe Mods need to regular ratings a bit better but most of the time, games with above 4 stars deserve more than dlsite's.
i agree that a middle ground would be perfect
high ratings might make developers lazier but it also keeps them motivated
low ratings might make some developers learn things but also demotivate others
how many developers have left this website because of this and hate.
all i am saying is that i believe positive encouragement works better in some cases than negative bashing
if you are a developer that worked 1000/10000 hours on something and there is one aspect of the game that is lacking

what would give you more motivation to change things and keep going?
in JP reviews you usually see the first kind of reviews.
in western reviews and especially on this website you see the second kind lots of times.

I think the short-term solution we have right now like having these kinds of threads available for likeminded people to peruse is a good way to re-review past and newly released works. These types of areas allows developers to advertise their work a lot more efficiently and get more relevant contructive feedback on how to improve their game. So the general reviews like 1/5 art sucks or its larger than my thesis gets downplayed a lot less to the developer's feeling for their work. We can also debate / argue like we have done before on what's makes the work good or what's missing to induce that NTR feeling better.
From what I've noticed is that the newer developers that do get rated poorly is due to the lack of content within their demo and rating an unfinished product can be deceiving, or their games do suck compared to the standard. I think the JP audience do understand it's unfinished and have a better tolerance to these things in order to support the author, but externally if you paid for something you generally do expect some quality content.
But at the end of the day, everyone's preferences are unique so I think being proactive in propogating good old works or releasing works can help build a proper community standard for future or ongoing developers here.

DLsite reviews and reviews here are not comparable, people on dlsite review a product just after buying it without even writing a review usually. Some people even give it 4-5 stars before even playing it. In here you are given a 200 word limit. Also trust me, jp people are not chill when it comes to formal criticism as the ci-en/mail of the developer gets blasted if there is unsatisfying stuff in the game.
