same thing has happened to a game called 'Ntr Idol - Promise of Dreams'. It was just updated and said to be released in June, and now it's gone from the Steam store. Wonder if Steam is having a crackdown on adult games or something.

We are investigating this situation. Neither CB nor we got any message from Steam. It just happened, so we have no idea what happened. Mango Party's game got retired as well, so this could be a mistake.

With the release of a new development thread for Lifeguard Legends, I wonder what's the progress for the remastered version of NTRaholic. I do hope it's still being worked upon the developers.

Damn, I was looking forward to that game. I hope it's just a Steam mistake, and the game ends up releasing without issue.

We are investigating this situation. Neither CB nor we got any message from Steam. It just happened, so we have no idea what happened. Mango Party's game got retired as well, so this could be a mistake.

I really wonder how is it possible that there's no demo yet. I'm not a game developer but i work at programming and i had made some shitty games both in unity and in godot as a hobby. And looking at all the sprites they have and how simple is this game when it comes to game mechanics, it just doesn't make any sense.

Maybe they talked about it and I'm not well informed, but either it's a scam as a lot of people say, trying to get money from donors or something similar or it is actually being done but their devs are rather new at the engine or coding in general. If this was the case I wish they talked more, I'm pretty sure that more than one on this site would be willing and could answer or give advice if they had found some type of wall they can't overcome.

Take for example, one of the most popular game in the Netorare genre would be HPMF (a.k.a Hero Party Must Fall). Not only is this game not DONE yet but the developer also constantly delays the game and milks it for content especially when it comes to Patreon.

It's pretty common for devs to well... not show anything for months and decide to put an update whenever they please because it's a lot profitable that way. If you have searched for games in this forum before most of them are literally either "pending" or "abandoned".

Really sad truth about HPMF. I was a huge supporter in the beginning when it had monthly updates. But the time between starts getting longer. Now it is maybe one update per quarter. I can't support that kind of development.

But that situation is not the same for this game. Tiramisu has said CB is paying for the development out of their own pockets. Also there is no preorders or any other way to get money before the game is released. So they have nothing to milk until they get the game released.

It was talked about in detail earlier in this thread, but basically CB has taken over development of this game from Tiramisu. The problem is that CB does not know how and never has made a game. Not even a simple visual novel far easier to put together than this game. CB makes a lot of empty promises and uses that traffic to direct people to other games that he has not made but "publishes". That has been CB's M.O. for years. That's where the money comes from. It's just more marketing. So as long as he is in the picture you can expect this game to be stalled indefinitely.

Thanks for the info. I knew already about them taking over from Tiramisu, and thanks to your explanation it all makes sense now. So they may have a team or a guy working on it. But it's not a priority, cause they don't need it to keep making money
Well... that leaves us exactly where we started.

They won't release a demo since they may not have coded enough yet but they may keep releasing images or devlogs from time to time when they want to grab people's attention to direct it to other games. I'll still keep an eye on the thread but I won't hope to see an actual game in a year or two.

Think you are misunderstanding, they don't have anyone working on it and will continue to never have anyone work on it. For them the existence of the page is all they care about. I can pay a dude 70 bucks for a sketch which will be done in 3 days. I can then hold on to that sketch for the next 6 months or whenever I decide to put out an "update" and claim that I have people working hard on the game. I don't even have to show work either. I can just take a screenshot of the Godot engine open with plenty of named folders (no code or script files visible) and people who don't make games will think I did a lot of stuff. If static images may be not be convincing enough, then I can just make a gif of an animation (that may or may not have anything to do with the core gameplay) which any two-bit youtubter can throw together in a weekend.

It's super easy to make things just for show. Making something playable requires actual effort. It's easy to string people along. Don't expect this game to get made.

Tiramisu was very embarrassed when he told us that he was the one who overlooked the message from Steam.
We sent Steam about why we didn't replied to their message and are waiting for them to reply.
