Dev said 2 weeks ago on Patreon that hes going on a break because of personal issues, he also halted all patreon subs.

Probably a good time to let some dust settle since Steam and Itch are having to keep their business afloat.
It won't be long before Patreon and others will cave to the fucking conservatives pushing their values.
I'm not defending IRL unlawful activities but Games & Role Play should not be shut down due to corporate prudence.
Someone should set 'Anonymous' loose on CollectiveShouts ass and shut them down for stomping on legit freedoms. And hit Visa too. It would not be the first time 'Anonymous' bitch slapped Visa either.
At least the Japanese Gov't actually sanctioned Visa some IRL money for their shit the other day for pushing their agenda. And they are applying more pressure.

which is honest, but also probably mean we won't have anythign more than 0.10, at best for months, more likely forever.
No shame in ending it if that is the conclusion he comes to during his break. The game was plagued serious pacing issues from the start and it may just not be worth it to put in any more effort on that foundation. Perhaps better to take it as a learning experience and begin another project.
Actully, i believe that patreon, wont get much trouble as its a Subscribtion website where you have to unlock content via paypal and or visa. giving it an age verification automaticly, because you cant have a Debit/Kreditcard without age verification, the only thing is that they make it so that paypal has to make sure there will be an age Verification setup.

The payment processors or credit card companies can still dictate what kind of content is allowed to be published there.
They already have done this before, (no blackmail, incest etc.)
If they decide to push for "no more adult content" allowed, patreon wil bend the knee again.
This whole movement is not about age verification only.

It's about puritanism so yeah once they get the finger, they will want the arm then everything else. I do agree that porn as a whole should seriously NOT be this easily accessible to kids, but let's face it, teenager are going to find way to see porn anyway, they are literally biologically wired to think abotu sex thanks to the hormones flooding their bodies. But that doesn't mean that I don't see this blatant overeach by a non governmental, unlawful and private corporation as something incredibly dangerous for everyone.
It start with porn (and hentai as the situation in japan showcase) and then it's "violent" game like Doom, then games as a whole "cause Satan" or something. And after that? Well sky is the limit honestly...

It is just as much for leftist forcing this as well. A lot of men just turned off of dating and pursuing of women for a host of reasons and they want to blame porn versus the results of what they have been pushing for.
