I've also tried manually translating a few games which is why I don't bother. You need a rudimentary understanding of the Japanese language (and probably the culture as well.) to even attempt to make something up that is even remotely related to what is actually happening. I've broken it down to the exact characters and used books, yes, BOOKS to try and piece together what is happening using grammar and logic that I don't have (LOL) and it just doesn't work. The Uchiha stone tablet is indecipherable.
It's a shame too because this is a game that lives by its text. I'm also going to wait for an actual translation, and I really hope one comes.
Yea, but I do understand japanese well enough to decipher somewhat complicated text albeit with google/ai's help. The problem is the amount of text itself. I'm not a programmer so I'm not gonna shit on him for no reason, but as someone who has tried translating a lot of jrpg, this one just has an insane amount of repetitive lines of text, like actually insane.
So yea, bottom line is: if you care about this game and have the capacities, translate it yourself or straight up learn japanese and play it. Every single amateur translation that's gonna come out is gonna be ass. The only hope is that, since NTRRPG 1 got an official translation, sooner or later we're gonna get an official one for this too! So might as well play it as it is, and by the time the offical tl comes out, enough time will have passed for you to forget the story and enjoy it again as if it was new!
