Only 3 shots to kill the masked orc? Huh, I'm about 65% sure I put more than 3 shots into him each time and they seemed to have no effect.
I think that as a game that prides itself on its prison setting, this game doesn't take advantage of that setting all that well. The animations are great but only 2 of them actually deal with the prison setting: the first animation in the game, with the orc, and the first golem animation. Both of these have the girl in a cell chained to the wall.
There are game over animations but it would be good to see some "half" game over animations like those two I mentioned: animations that play when you are knocked down and beaten but still have hitpoints remaning. The monster would carry the girl back to a cell and have some fun with her while she's chained up. When he's done, she can escape.
At the moment it doesn't really make sense that the monster would chain her back up and just leave, especially when the first few orcs you encounter in the game make it clear they are going to punish her severely for escaping.
It lead to odd situations in game that felt almost like exploits. If a monster is nearby and has spotted you, you can go into a cell and chain yourself to the wall. There are no unscripted animations for the girl while she's in chains so monsters will just break off the chase and leave. That threat from the early orcs that they would punish her for escaping feels empty later on and made the game less exciting.
