Honestly buddy, people are already having a hard time feeling concerned about latest updates(me included), i don't think you'll find anyone ready to try out older one. In the end it's not like technobreak is listening to anyone regarding project direction, or even players input(he shut out a promising modding project not so long ago). Wherever he is consistent in his work doesn't really matter in the end, what matter is: are people satisfied with what's been provided.
As you were talking about story writing, story progression and drawing, i couldn't help but think that it's actually where lie the issue in the end. A video game isn't about writting a story. It isn't about drawing things. I don't see a healthy game development that doesn't have a very precise story and thus very precise scene to do. You don't design a house as you're building it, you don't hapazardly make wall and roof hoping for the best. You don't write a story as you write a one shot. You don't draw a comic as you make a portrait. Inspiration should never be the issue in those matters. You don't start any of it without already having that inspiration.
And honestly i don't think that's what he does. It isn't like the story is that original. It's not a game about a story, it's a porno about a nympho priestess and her cuck of a boyfriend. The story is an excuse, a pretext, for the scene to happen.
The feeling that i think every one have is that he is constently post poning progression of any kind. The vast majority of the content provided since two years might as well be DLC. Yarizo, Potion maker, Iris, all of them arn't important to the plot. And during this time, as were saying people a few post up mine, the game is in a dire state: requiring cheat to progress, lacking of basic feature like a gallery, stats and combat feature still clunky AF, multiple bugs remaining litteraly years after first appearance. Honestly with how much content there is in the game, if he would only round things up, we could have an initial release already.
But indeed, it seems like we are stuck in this state for multiple years, you say 5 years, i say that the way things are going right now, i simply don't see it being completed. It does not feel like the game is progressing at all, it feels like it is stagnating. I don't know if it is lazyness, incompetance, personnal issue of any kind, i'm not here to blame. Something is just definitely wrong, and for sure technobrake does not acknoledge it
I'd like to ad that there is many, many games that chose at some point to never deliver a completed version of themselves(ofc am assuming but it's quite obvious) like warlock&boobs, seeds of chaos, something unlimited and the list goes on and on... But they have the delicacy to have somewhat consistency in their release, to have actual implemented scene, to sometimes deliver whole chunk of story in big updates. What bother me with NymPri is that 3 years in, the whole game is still very sketchy. Everythings looks half made, quickly done, not quite refined. Even for very low standards. For fuck sake, you showed more dedication in three graph than technobrake never shown for the dam game
