are you meaning the slats on the cheeks thats most likely joints or parts to allow the mouth to function at least that's my guess could be something else like vents or something

From a lore standpoint, only the dev can say. Though you could be right about the "to make them look different from humans", seeing how the lore paints androids.
From a non "in universe" standpoint, it's the classic mark to make her design more unique and "mechanical". Otherwise she'd look just like any other person.

It will be fixed in the next update (probably) I just turned off mouse changing on linux. Not sure, but for some reason it this breaks on linux.

Got the Bad End from too much streaming. wonder if there's a way to avoid that or do I need to completely restart the game? Grinding the money to get just 2 limbs took a good 2 hours or so of play.

I must commend the fact that you didn't give a specific date and yet you are practically releasing an update with the same time difference as the last time. That's quite organized.
