RPGM - Completed - Obscurite Magie ~ The City of Sin [v1.01] [Instant Flowlighter / Kagura Games]

Other reviews have been kinda harsh on this, this is a simple RPGM game, there's almost no grind here, u run around and either do the main quest, try to trigger sex scenes (conveniently marked with heart chat bubbles), or explore the very small game world to level up and get loot.

That sums up the whole gameplay, it's simple.

THis game doesn't starve you for sexual content, it happens fast, the corruption is fast and you can deliberately speed it along, the art is great, the protagonist is hot, the biggest issue i see with the game is lack of voice effects, woulda been a bit hotter if there were at least voiced moans or something.

It's a low effort rpgm game with good art; it's easy to fap to, but it's nothing special as a game.

Feels like a poor RPG got slapped with sloppy, basic, at times unnecessary H-content.

• There's a useless and basically non-functional corruption system: it works as a counter and adds to it 1 for harassment, 3 for simple and 5 for more general H-interactions. It does not change behavior unless maxed out at 100, the additional counters for body parts are just counters with flavor text and inconsistent scaling (guess whether the text will change at 5,10 or 20 targeted events).
• At max you can meet an NPC that teaches you how to strip, because the counter was not useless enough on its own! Then you can click-clack around with a lazy art swap that reduces interactable NPC count and still has the same high-heel footstep sounds.
• The events themselves are as basic as it comes and they are easily available everywhere, the tiered ones repeat the prior sequence with a bit added to it. And the sounds for the scenes are either lacking or non-existent.
• Combat is worse than generic - gives you an auto-win easy mode toggle item and a suicide attack to start, that pretty much explains its state...

You can guess the story, ignore the combat and see not bad quality, yet limited and still repetitive CGs that are littered everywhere.

pretty good hero design but the h scenes are really average. otherwise, the corruption isn't paced very well. gameplay isn't bad, the mc is purposefully overpowered which keeps the game from becoming tedious.
overall, i wouldn't recommend it

Honestly a very dissapointing game.

Pros:
+Cute Tomboy protag.
+Decent art.

Cons:
-Lackluster writing. (Final boss literally wants to destroy the world because she takes "pleasure" from it)
-Very basic rpgmaker fights and the game is incredibly easy. (Played on normal and it was literally impossible to lose)
-Has like 2 ost one that plays all the time and the other for boss battles.
-Very short game.
-Bad corruption. (you have to get groped by the same npcs over and over)
-Game forces you into several sexual activities say goodbye to your "Pure Maiden" route.

A very very standard run of the mill corruption RPGM. Everything is done well though. Good translation, easy to follow what to do next, all control work fine no bugs, combat is easy, plot is very standard, scenes are pretty well drawn.

If you want to play another corruption RPGM, like the art, and have played everything else go ahead but there is nothing that makes it stand out. I'm just giving it a 4 because I like this genre and it did nothing wrong per se.

Another day, another Kagura Games corruption game starring a strong female lead. Yes, we’ve all been here and done that, but what can I say, I’m a creature of habit and Kagura has had a good run lately.

Their spin on the corruption this time around is nice is in that you can earn all the non-battle CGs, fucking anyone you want, and you won’t find yourself trapped in the “bad end”. Heck, the battle loss CGs just unlock after defeating the boss. It was fun sending our fiery red head to the hypnotist to be turned into a living fleshlight or to the shady Inn to be filled with cum while she sleeps, and then kicking ass and taking names in battle. My canon is that Louise is a huge nympho, but can still lay you out in a fight. She might spread her legs with the best of them, but only if there’s coin to be earned.

Speaking of sleeping around, this town is a nice little haven of genres. You got the hypnotist, the sleepy time Inn, the yuri massage parlor, the brothels, the gropers, the random NPCs you can prostitute her to, fighting horny monsters with non-defeat CGs, drinking games at the Pub, and watching the other two major girls take a good dicking. More than a handful fo these were in my wheelhouse, so this was like a buffet of fap material for me.

Game also lets you run a NewGame+, not sure why, but that’s neato if I ever get the itch to send a hot red head back into the cum filled halls of degeneracy.

The art is very good, the CG is decent, the story and characterization of each character is very good, the CGH is easy to get, gameplay very simple and there are no puzzles that make the brain hurt.But what really makes me love this game is the design and art style is VERY GOOD.I hope they make games like this again

A small, simple and very genetic MRPG game where the main heroines will get corrupted by various erotic events . The game is really simple and easy mostly because everything is detailedly guided so you probably won't gonna miss any scenes. Overall, this is a really simple game, quite normal to be honest because there isn't anything in the game that can distinguish it from others... so ... yeah...

Pretty straightforward HRPG, very difficult to lose unless you do so intentionally and even then the consequences are minimal. Not that this is a bad thing. However this game has very little variety in the H scenes. You'll mostly see the same set of H scenes from the main heroine, exceptions being pretty much defeat H scenes after boss fights. The art isn't bad but there's just too little variety, and the game is pretty boring overall. Get a full gallery save if you can since some of the art is nice but the game isn't worth playing.

A pretty well done h-game, but not surprising since it is done by Instant Flowlighter. It's a short story, and you can get it done in an hour or so if you go with the 'Casual' gamemode that they have, which is suppose to focus primarily on the porn.

Art is fantastic, but it does tend to reuse art for similar scenes a couple of times. Writing for h-scenes is alright as well, although the writing for the story can be a bit predictable if you look over stuff.

Overall, good game, certainly wouldn't hurt to give it a download and go through it. Redheads are pretty fucking hot.

Not the best game of its type, but not the worst. Has a story "get back my stuff" sort of plot, where the heroine is in one of those cities where men are affected by uncontrollable lust. I played the casual path, so you already start overpowered, but can still do the general events which aren't bad.

The corruption system is there, but its more along the lines of letting loose the inner slut of the heroine. All the main women are huge breasted, so it keeps to its theme on that point. Game play is standard and pretty much like many of these corruption of the heroine games.

It stands out with the MC but at least its short, 4 main bosses to fight, and the general events that you see in the maps. Not a big city that you need to explore so it makes due with a small city and some dungeons which is nice.

Worth it for the size, and clean art, but its nothing special.

• Not an indepth story. It's all looking for her stolen item and goes from suspect to suspect

Technically well produced basic RPGM game with good artwork and character design, h scenes are beautiful but have little variety, the game is also very short and very easy, you just follow a mark on the map read some dialogue play some extremely easy default rpgm fights repeat this for an hour, story is very weak if you skip the dialogue you can beat it in 30 min maybe.
Corruption system is almost useless, there is no change in the CGs, only minor dialogue changes and you can easily farm Lust Points at the beginning of the game so the progression is broken. Also no clothing system, just an exposure ''system(?)'' that they just throwed in the game at some point and forgot it was there.
Overall: Can't say it's a waste of time because you can just speedrun it and see all the good art but definitely one of the weakest h games i've played

This is the easiest game I have ever played. Seriously, I have played sandbox games harder than this. And I wasnt even playing with the approach kill system.

Anyway, beautiful artwork, easy as hell corruption, super linear story.

There are some defeat scenes but you really have to mess up to get them.

I was honestly expecting this to be the next "Parallel Fantasy IF+", where the story was more than it seemed, the corruption system is fun to play through, the battle, clothing, and rape system is great, and the H-scenes are aplenty, imaginative, and arousing to look at.

Instead, what we got was a short, average H-game with beautiful artwork, a few H-scenes, a generic battle system, a clothing system that... why even put it in?

And a Corruption system that was just.... uhh, too easy and straightforward.



Guess that's what I get for setting the bar too high.

The only one good thing about this game is the protagonist design.

The corruption is extremely fast and poorly done, the fights are extremely basics.

No Job system, no clothing system.

It's overall an extremely basic hrpg with a nicely drawn heroine. That's it.

I don't recommend.

Artwork itself is good, nothing great.
No animations from what I've experienced. Very short.
No cut in H-scenes during the combat, over all feels half baked.
Even if certain elements wasn't what the developer intended. What the game does offer it does only average at best.

But I will say that the pause menu UI is very good, there are a decent bit of fetishes covered in the game. But with this being a corruption based game, it does little to stand out from the flood of corruption titles.

• Art is really well done. BUT the rehash of art for some scene makes it feel lazy. Could've been better if they done another pose but nope. No monster defeat scene too.
• Story is just your average RPGH. Girl gets into a city full of perverts to be corrupted
• Battle is simple. Heck theres even the approach-kill battle which makes it even simpler
• Sex stat = Counter of how many times x has been groped. No status effect or whatever here

Overall its a linear game w/ good art and basic corruption system (which was carried over from prev. game). Art is improved but the scenes and corrption system could definetly be done better.

The game itself is incredibly easy even at normal difficulty. It's very short (1 hour+), the next place in story progression is alway highlighted as well as all the places with h-scenes. don't know how i feel about that. There is an option for simplified combat, which would be nice, if the game wasn't already so simple. Story is stupid, but whatever.

Art is good, there is a simple corruption system. There are scenes with three girls.

Translation is great, some stuff in the beginning and options isn't done, but it doesn't affect the experience.
