Download the game is pretty much load, I had the same issue but found it out.

No no, I mean that he was confused that with Download the game meaning just "load the game" as in save-load.

ive done the movie task, spoken to jessica in laundry and at night in cafeteria also seen nurse in the bathroom multiple times, magazine too, what else do i need to do to progress im stuck

Genuinely spent a hour walking around trying to find content. All I have found is: Laundry in morning as kid, Lima movie at evening with older man, and pall walking in on Older girl in bathroom. Repetition did not seem to change much.
The hint system is essentially useless and there are no hints from the story on what to do
